I'm not talking about deep throws downfield, there are ways to scheme intermediate level throws. I agree, the WR group made that difficult, but it isn't as hard as they made it look.

He stuck with the run a bit too long. Spags run blitzes were a perfect counter. He also didn't dial anything up to challenge the missing safeties and Gay. It's almost impossible to win without getting the ball downfield.

He played mostly outside in college, fwiw. Regardless, he'll see an uptick in targets and I think that's more relevant when considering him a Davis replacement, rather than specifically where he lines up.

This one hurts the most, but possibly because the previous losses compound it so much.

I didn't doubt for a second he'd miss it, but I also knew it didn't matter.

I think this offseason is going to be brutal. Not only the roster management but also listening to all the media chatter, its just going to be exhausting. I'll get there, though.

It's possible, but it's unlikely the Titans beat the Dolphins without him, so this game would've been at Arrowhead.

He needs to be literally perfect, and that's infuriating. He passed up the Diggs crosser on 2nd and 9 because the TD to Shakir was there. You can't pass that up in that moment, regardless of what Mahomes might do. Tom Brady wouldn't have passed that up. It missed by a fraction of a second due to Jones bullrushing Dawkins into his back. He played nearly flawlessly, a goddamned superstar in the biggest game of his career. I've never seen another great player forced to be perfect game after game for such a sustained period. It's outrageous that he'd be considered anything other than great.
