Probably longer than the list of quality coaches that wanted to come here-one Brian Billick and they didn't even call him. Shows you the ineptitude of this organization and the ownership. Bottom line-Billick would have had to be paid like a Super Bowl winning coach-which he is.

Why would Lechler pull out, he finally gets to play for a team that Al Davis doesn't own and the head coach doesn't beat up his assistants. That is true, even on NFL Network, ESPN and other places, that is why they say Favre will be a first ballot HOFer, but will never be in the elite company of QBs of Manning, Elway, Montana-because he makes too many bad mistakes that have cost his teams too many games.

You obviously were routing for the Vikings, because the majority of those hits on Favre were clean, legal but hard. The couple that were late hits, they were flagged. The Saints won the game fair and square, and Minnesota made so many mistakes they didn't deserve to win (6 fumbles, 2 ints, and a big 12 men in the huddle penalty that pushed them out of FG position). That was obviously Greg Williams gameplan, to hit Favre as much as possible, they did, and they wouldn't have won without doing it. I do agree on one thing in your post, and only one thing, even alot of the clean, legal hits would have drawn flags if Wonderboy Tom Brady were playing.

I too think alot of people are giving the Jets a little too much credit. They shouldn't have even been in the playoffs if their schedule didn't line them up with two teams that had nothing to gain or lose when they played them. I see the Jets as this years version of last years Falcons, except Matt Ryan had a much better year his rookie year than Sanchez did this year. The Jets weren't that good, they went far on luck and momentum, more so on the luck side of it though.

Exactly, the draft for the most part is a crap shoot. Going by the theme of this post, every GM in the NFL should have been fired in 2000, since they all passed over Tom Brady what 5 times each? We can get alot of good players in for interviews, just like Shanahan coming here, they do it to raise their asking price around the league. This organizaton for the most part, gets used as a pawn to bargain a players contract higher.

They probably would get more for Evans than anyone else they have on offense, probably by a wide margin. The perception of Evans is that he can be a gamebreaker, but since Bledsoe left, he hasn't had anyone who can get him the ball.
