I have always considered Brian's Song the best sports movie period. I am a big fan of Heaven Can Wait and Friday Night Lights too.

Who have the Bills interviewed for the HC opening?
billsfreak replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have interviewed all One persons that will agree to interview, Perry Fewell and he signed with NYG. They might just have to grab a homeless guy off of the street to coach, he surely wouldn't turn it down-or would he? -
A non-issue, they have already pretty much said that they are going to extend him, probably 3 years.

Anyone Else Hear What Quadry Ismael Said

When did Ismail work for the Bills? -
A number 4 pick and pick up the food bill for Jason Peters for next season, that could be higher than anything tightwad Ralph would want to spend though.

Anyone Else Hear What Quadry Ismael Said
billsfreak replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And it took someone with the little bit of credentials of Ismail to say that for you to know it? That has been the word around the NFL, the Bills Fans (at least the realistic ones) and anyone watches football, for a few years now. There are only 32 prestigious head coaching positions in the league, that pay you millions of dollars and the Bills are getting turned down by just about everyone they ask, even young coordinators that would give their left nut for a chance to be a head coach. Maybe Ralph isn't as dumb as he appears and saw this coming last year, that is why he extended Jauron despite knowing it was a bad move. He finally caved in under fan and media pressure to get rid of DJ, and now is stuck with paying him for 2 more years, which makes a tightwad like Ralph, very unhappy. The reality is, us Bills fans are in a no win situation, as long as Ralph is alive, the Bills will suck and when he is gone, we may lose the team. The team is a joke, and when you think about it, that organization who stills sells out games, season tickets, memorabilia, merchandise, with little effort for winning results, is kinda making its fanbase look like a joke too. -
Before that play where Manning threw the ball to Garcon and it was picked off by Ed Reed, then Garcon chased him down and made him fumble, even ended, I thought of the lack of effort that Owens puts in on plays that were picked off or even the lack of effort to catch a poorly thrown ball. T.O. would just throw his arms up in disgust with his "It's all about me" attitude, while the defender with the ball would be running up field. Hell, that play by itself kinda shows the difference between a team that is a winning organization and a team like the Bills that have been spinning their wheels in muddy manure and rarely even achieving mediocrity, much less success. I am not saying that nobody on the Bills gives an effort, because there are some, but that overall team mentality comes from the organization and coaching staff as much as the players themselves. As long as this ownership and front office are in place we will be a team struggling to be competitive, while year in and year out, teams like the Colts are playing for championships.

Wake up man. The weather has nothing to do with Grimm not wanting to come here. The weather inside One Bills Drive is why Grimm, Shanahan, Cowher, Schottenheimer, Harbaugh and anyone else that has anything to do with the NFL doesn't want to come here. We might as well bring Jauron back, because he wanted to be here, and nobody else that Ralph "The Franchise Ruiner" brings in is going to make any difference anyway.

Have you been in a coma for the past decade? Gee why all the negativity? Your post is a freaking joke dude. Enjoy the Ride? More like a train wreck. You are living in a dream world, once you come back to reality you will understand the negativity. Ralph has doomed this franchise, it is the biggest joke in the NFL and if you can't see that, you are just as much of a joke yourself.

Woah - Bills offered HC job to Harbaugh

I think we were on plan C a few weeks ago. We must be on about plan T by now, or are we almost starting the alphabet over with AA? It is almost like a guy with a severely contagious sexual disease asking women out and nobody wants to go near him. What a joke Ralph has turned this team into. -
Why Ralph Isn't Doing What He Said...
billsfreak replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Martz did take a team to the Super Bowl as a head coach. You can say it was with Vermiel's team, but you can say that The Steelers won with Cowher's team, or you can say the Colts are winning this year with Tony Dungy's team, Gruden won with Dungy's team, etc. I am not a fan of Martz, but you can't say he was a total washout, he did better with the Rams than any coach has in Buffalo since Levy left. I would rather see Billick hired over Martz, but Martz would be better than Frazier would be. I am tired of seeing coordinators come in here for a 3 year tour, stinking the joint up then getting canned. As far as Ralph doing what he said? When does Ralph ever do what he said, he has this organization holding the trophy for the leagues biggest joke of a team. -
And what a great ride it has been for over a decade (sarcasm). It isn't embarrassing to me and it shouldn't be to any other Bills' fans either, but the organization and Ralphy should be in a state of major embarrassment. They have turned this organization into the joke of the NFL, to the point where young coordinators who would give their left arm for a chance to be a head coach in the NFL are even turning down interview opportunities. Young up and coming coaches are telling themselves "I will pass up on this disfunctional organization and hope that another opportunity from one of the other 31 teams, of which any I would jump on the chance to coach, becomes available." As long as Ralph is in charge, with his outdated theories, tight wallet strings and refusal to clean out the good ole boy front office, things will never change. Just the fact the Modrak and Brandon are still employed by the Bills is proof to that.

Poz isn't Dick Butkus, but I think he is good enough to excel in this league. You have to remember, this past season, he had different outside backers playing next to him almost every game and a D-Line that couldn't tackle Pee Wee Herman if he was running the ball. With a little quality help, Poz could fill the middle gap for years-provided he can stay healthy (that is a whole different issue).

If you like "Fitzy" ask him out on a date. He sucks as a QB though.

Anyone with a brain can figure it out.
billsfreak replied to bigskyfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes but of the medling owners you listed, with maybe the exception of Davis, and only maybe, they all do whatever is within their means to win. They spend millions on top of millions, put winning ahead of profit, all things Ralphie doesn't do. -
Russ Brandon - Is he the problem with our HC search?
billsfreak replied to ColdBlueNorth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That isn't necessarily true. Coming into a bad situation for an up and coming young coordinator isn't always a good move, even though it is a chance to be a head coach. Greg Williams and Mike Mularkey were up and comers and still good coordinators, but their names haven't come up in HC conversations, because of their unsuccessful tours in Buffalo, it is almost like they got set back to "GO" and had to start their resume all over again. -

Bobby April STILL looking for work
billsfreak replied to Trent is Unstoppable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bobby April won't be out of work when training camp starts in July. He probably feels like an escapee getting out of here and having the opportunity to go to a team that has a chance to win. Besides, you wouldn't hire a coach or coordinator before you hire a head coach, unless you are Daniel Snyder and look what happened to him. He couldn't get anyone to take the head coach job so he had to move the coordinator he hired up to HC and it was a bust (Zorn). -
Grimm tells us why the Bills gig isn't that good.
billsfreak replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Alot of people would disagree with the statement in bold above, and those people would include Cowher, Grimm, Shanahan among others. -

billsfreak replied to DarthICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look at the last decade plus at One Bills Drive and any bad rap that Ralph and the FO have is well earned. This team as much as we all love it, is a complete joke and has been for years. Sadly things won't change until ownership changes. The bottom line is going to be money over winning, which will push top coaches and players away from Western New York. -
If we could bring TD back, would you do it?

Remaining playoff QBs...Rank 'em!
billsfreak replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are ranking them just based on these playoffs, not their careers or age I would go: 1. Manning 2. Warner 3. Brees 4. Rivers 5. Favre 6. Romo 6 . Flacco 8. Sanchez
