  1. If the play of the offensive line fell off when Morse went out, or if Mongo and Allen had trouble with their snaps, Morse would have started against the Cards. But McD felt momentum improved with Morse out and he stuck with it. We'll see what happens Sunday, Morse has had the bye week to work back in.
  2. This is what McD said:. "we felt like we had at least some momentum with the group we had had in when Mitch went down and wanted to take a look at one more week there." Why is this not clear to you? After Morse went down the unit started playing better, gaining momentum.
  3. No I did not. I said the O-line as a unit performed better with him out, according to McD. It's not the same thing. Him and Feliciano each bring something different to the table.
  4. Except you added the suggestion it was because Morse was coming off a concussion, the second in a year and a half. Simply put, that did not appear to be part of this decision.
  5. https://espnrochester.radio.com/articles/wgr-am-article/mcdermott-morse-not-playing-was-a-coachs-decision "He was healthy," McDermott told reporters on his weekly Zoom conference call. "Mitch is a good player and we just felt like, for that week, that week being last week, we felt like we had at least some momentum with the group we had had in when Mitch went down and wanted to take a look at one more week there." You're entitled to your opinion, but this is what McD said. Just because we lost doesn't mean O-line momentum was broken. You're talking assignment adjustments, getting off the ball and being effective as a unit. They saw things on film they liked and kept with it against the Cards. To me, the fact McD is noncommittal about Morse starting this weekend tells me he probably won't. I'm sure they put a lot of work in to try and fix their run game and I just think McD would tag Morse as starter again if it had worked out. I don't think he would be coy about who's starting at center, because at worst there seemed no noticeable dropoff with Mongo in there.
  6. My interpretation of McDermott's explanation is that the O-line is doing better without Morse in there and he wants to stick with that group as developing continuity is critical to O-line effectiveness. I'm not expecting Morse back in unless the tape of the Cardinals game looks bad.
  7. I think Trump leaving office is a big key to settling the country down as he was purposely divisive and the MSM also helped stoke that. Once gone, it'll become apparent that while he wanted to drain the swamp, he lives in his own swamp which he would have installed. Enough of us middle folk and a number of right folks I talked to realize his communication style is toxic, his nepotism and constant hirings/firings just point to his host of other problems that will make him unfit. He was just a better option than Hillary, nothing more. Trump is toast, I guess we'll see if they actually run Ivanka but I would view her just like Hillary when she became a senator for no real reason other than her husband.
  8. I'm not sure I'd agree you're being objective with "barely" at number 9. "Barely" objectively implies that there's a large chance of him falling out of the top 10 at any moment. Are 10 and 11 so statistically close to him that you feel this is true? Totally on board with everything else you said, great post. It drives me crazy that our O-line can pass block pretty well but really hasn't done well run blocking. If they can fix this out of the bye, I would feel a lot better about our playoff chances.
  9. Well, you don't have to be a lawyer to appreciate the role of the supreme court. They are not going to be able to present witnesses in their case to the SC. That is not the role of the SC. I think Rudy's just being loyal to Trump. Trump would have to be oblivious and that's a real possibility.
  10. I'm in agreement on you with 1 and 2. But why would you assume Trump is some purveyor of truth and honesty because of it? He wasn't the most honest guy pre presidency. 3 is not odd given Trump's efforts on climate change, the environment, his rudeness, perceived dishonesty, use of conspiracy theories, and overt targeting and demonization of democrats as a whole. 4. Mail in ballots are not new. The push is for a convenient way to ensure people vote. No waiting in line. I see much more waiting in line in the urban areas over my suburban or even rural areas so that may be a factor. I am in agreement with you about proper ID as the law requires. Funny how Trump is not willing to put his massive evidence of voter fraud on the table or in the courtroom for that matter...
  11. Check Rudy on Trump's ultimate strategy to overturn the election. Anyone Trump supporter who believes in this is the pinnacle of gullible. I know Rudy, as a lawyer, knows better.
  12. You know what gullible is? Believing that getting even one of these various cases to the Supreme court while presenting no evidence along the way is a sound strategy.
  13. There's very little investigative journalism needed for documented court results: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/with-scathing-order-judge-dismisses-trump-effort-to-block-pennsylvania-vote-certification/ar-BB1bfqeI?li=BBnbfcL Keep in mind Brann is a repub judge. Now Trump is trying to persuade repub state lawmakers to intervene, disregard the vote and send repub electors instead! Honestly, JaCrispy, does this make any sense for a president who likes to preach "rule of law"? It's extremely subversive IMO. There's been a lot of hot air with no significant legal evidence presented by his team as needed in these courtrooms. Yes the MSM has shamefully advocated against Trump but the courtroom results and Trump's subversive tactics speak for themselves. Look at the judges words in all these states, Trump's argument's present no evidence and thus have no legal grounds. Over and over. At what point do Trump supporters get off their knees and stop taking it in the face from him and his campaign?
  14. Now is the time to be presenting it in court, but they've failed to do so. The election will soon be fully certified at the state level and for all intents over. Now is the time to present the evidence, certainly a judge can seal the case if deemed appropriate. But there's no evidence presented!
  15. Thanks for posting an entirely reasonable topic and wanting to discuss it respectfully. That is key to trying to heal this country. This video, does not appear to be any reputable news organization. It looks like something was staged and pasted together. Every video they cut to has Trump campaign people in it. Are there any in there you consider truly neutral? A CIA operation around Joe"Chinese" Biden? Does that sound like a professional assessment? It sounds hokey to me. As far as news sources, what about many of Trump's legal challenges being shot down and light on evidence? What do you think about Georgia certifying and Michigan moving to do so Monday? I've heard a lot of big words and theories from the Trump campaign about massive fraud but no one there has any evidence other than trivial problems, ie nothing significantly impacting election results. As a 2016 Trump voter I ask you, do you really feel the Trump campaign has something concrete or this is all just smoke and mirrors and why?
  16. I agree with you about the wings. People who enjoy the thought of "authentic" wings plays in to this a bit. Beef on weck is pretty damn good, I think it's not more widespread because the kummelweck roll is not. Also, cooking that sliced beef just right is a subtlety that Buffalo places seem to excel at, even if it's not on the weck sandwich.
  17. From your article: Travel from other American cities also sparked infections across the country, including from an early outbreak centered in the Seattle area that seeded infections in more than a dozen states, researchers say. Even if New York had managed to slow the virus, it probably would have continued to spread from elsewhere, they say.
  18. Yea, no. The first confirmed case of COVID was in Washington State January 20th. First NYC case February 29th. Detroit and Chicago airports were two of the last to close to European travel and it's suspected that's why they've had so many problems. Pretending everything hinged on NYC is blindingly stupid.
  19. No one he knows of was shot. I've heard no reports of shootings over Covid, have you? Despite the Chinese government, the people themselves also understood the gravity of the situation and were willing to make those sacrifices. My wife (who HATES the Chinese government) was completly mystified about US resistance to masking and lockdowns. Do people here really not care about helping each other through this? I had to explain US history and that individual freedom attitude is part of what makes us great but in this case it's absolutely killing us.
  20. Well, my friend lives in Shanghai. He is an honest friend (who loves the US) and when he tells me life has been back to normal since April I believe him. Given the population density of that area, no way does the government allow that if the virus is still raging but being covered up.
  21. Wrong. It's been stopped in China. The most populous country in the world. Here's a great article about it: https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(20)30800-8/fulltext My wife is Chinese and one of my friends is back home there now. They've been almost entirely mask free since April. April. The only times they must wear masks is subways and busses. They did real lockdowns, if one person in a building had it the entire building was locked down, one person per family was designated to go pick up supplies every 2 days. Testing checkpoints, sacrifices of personal freedoms that people in the US would violently rebel against. The infected were at times grouped in converted theaters, gyms, etc with medical staff. But, April. What the rest of the world needs to realize is that a swift, painful but concerted effort is needed at the beginning to cut off spread to enable contact tracing. People have to realize they're sacrificing a month or two of freedoms to prevent what the we are experiencing now. "Virus is gonna virus?" You succeed contact tracing, you succeed in isolating all infected people and all potential sources of transmission and virus is gonna die. But that's incredibly difficult to do if you don't catch it at the beginning. The US and most of the world has been all about slowing the infectivity rate of the virus, nothing else. We were never going to be able to replicate China and stamp it out because from a health logistics standpoint we weren't set up for it and our citizens are unwilling to sacrifice so much freedom. That's still our plan until the vaccine(s) are given. Normal doesn't happen until mass vaccination. Don't like it? That's what we chose because of an inability to do better. We need to learn our lessons and do better next time. I am against drugs unless absolutely necessary but I will be getting a vaccine ASAP. Why? Because my kids will have to get it, it's what's necessary to get back to normal, and I'd rather step up and contribute in a positive way then simply complain about it. Pretending the virus doesn't exist, that being exposed means you are immune thereafter, and that the US plans of masking and social distancing would stop it are just myths. What are we going to do about it and what sacrifices will we make to do better next time?
  22. 11 seconds, no timeouts and Murray is scrambling for his life. Needing a touchdown, I have a hard time believing that a 20 yd sideline pass was the primary play there. I realize they're claiming it is but I felt like they were just trying to get across the 50 to set up that bomb.
  23. I don't understand why they didn't drop Edmunds back there. He's 6'5" and athletic. Hopkins is a master at doing that. I get that Hopkins was the only deep guy on that play, but I'd like to see it where they coach him up a bit and swap him with a safety in these cases.
  24. I don't know if Biden will be a good leader. I appreciate the fact he's at least talking about bringing the country back together as that's what's most important to me right now. I expect government will continue as is which is hugely disappointing, but hopefully 2024 will offer a better hope. For me, he deserves a chance. Just like Trump did 4 years ago. Unfortunately, I cannot support Trump. His active support and use of conspiracy theories, denigrating and generalizing people he doesn't agree with, and general obnoxiousness has been too divisive and polarizing. Plus, his seemingly constant hiring and firing of people in his administration. That is not the mark of a successful business. That is a working situation to be avoided at all costs.
  25. And people like Soros, Murdoch, and Koch's know it.
