OJ had 273 yards rushing and the Bills lost...GaryPinC replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall I can't say what tilted his final decision, but I do know he's very involved in Cleveland outreach and charity work and a part owner of the Cavs. I do think a part of his decision to take the payout and sell job was not to ruin his off-field work. I'm not saying it was a huge part, but he's a fixture here in Cleveland. If Josh Allen decided to leave in frustration, once he cooled down he would have to consider all his off field work, Oishei, and what burning all those community bridges would mean to his legacy post-retirement. Edit: He also had no real leverage to force a trade, lol.

A Few Thoughts about the Panthers Game - Community EditionGaryPinC replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall He just doesn't strike me as the brightest bulb and/or a short attention span so getting him to incorporate those small details into his game might take a long coaching haul, if ever.

10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers post game threadGaryPinC replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Yeah, concussions can be weird. My daughter could pass her concussion test but had light sensitivity and intermittent brain fog for weeks. I kind of suspect that is what's going on with Josh, and he can't tell anyone or he'll have to sit. Yesterday's second tush push TD, he ran it standing straight up which I found odd and made me wonder if he was protecting his head? He's definitely not thinking the game as well the last two games, at least. One other odd thing is that the last two games he's been trying to mostly roll left to escape the pocket which I have no idea what that's about?

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing goodGaryPinC replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall The Cleveland game showed they are very well coached, creative and aggressive. They really did a number on the CLE defense. That may be the difference for them against us this year.

Chris Brown mentioned that in the discussion about maybe the Bills are purposefully playing ball control offense to take pressure off the D and I totally agree. I still wonder if that's why we played so bad against Atlanta; the offensive players are getting tired of it. Cosell made a point that willfully always playing ball control close games gets mentally exhausting. At this point I feel like not playing more vertically is emboldening defenses. As Cosell mentioned, even if you don't have the receiver talent, you still have to show it. Plus Allen is so good at placing a ball that alone may allow some vertical success.

Yeah, I follow the Browns and at this point have no confidence he knows how to develop ANY quarterback, let alone Mayfield. Definitely feels jaded against Shadeur for whatever reason and has limited Gabriel to half field reads and shorter throws. We'll see, open to changing my mind.

Forcing Turnovers is the missing ingredient in this DefenseGaryPinC replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall Yeah, it's a lot harder to force turnovers when you aren't in good position to make a play to begin with. Our D-line has been getting trucked at times with OL getting easily to the second level.

Yeah, I think it makes sense to have Poyer in to set the secondary (at least at times), some of the plays I've seen leave me with the impression secondary assignments aren't being correctly set at times. McDermott's of course not going to give a decision until gametime to keep Carolina guessing. It gives us such a competitive advantage, lol. It'll be interesting to see how we do this. Don't know how much we use Hancock, but I'd rather see Poyer in with him at least to start.

https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/cowboys-kaiir-elam-demoted-to-bench-role/ He's been coming off the bench the last two games. Where are you getting he's played damn well? Special teams?

Thanks for the great writeup, totally agree with your points. Offense stagnation: against the Pats and Falcons, I feel like our O-line didn't bring their aggression, they seemed very passive and I don't know why. But Atlanta regularly brought 5 and 6 rushers, gambling our receivers couldn't get separation in time. Defensive stagnation: Our gap integrity zero-stunts mantra gives almost no creativity on our pass rush and it's painful. Undersized LB's seldom crowd and rush from the LOS. Better coaches are now planning and taking advantage of It. It was painfully clear in Atlanta that our secondary is not communicating and setting assignments properly. Sideline pass to Robinson late 4Q, Tre had zone coverage but inexplicably peeled off to cover the middle leaving Robinson wide open. Bottom line, better coaches have figured us out. It's adapt and be dynamic or die time for our coaches, especially on D. Great point about Josh, I don't agree that his fire is gone, just that he's going to be more judicious with it. I don't agree that his career is drawing to a close, but agree that he's tired of always wearing the superman cape to keep this team afloat. We'll see what that means. More welcome (IMO) pressure on this FO.

MNF - Bucs at Lions: Texans at Seahawks (no Bills stuff please)GaryPinC replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Kelvin Sheppard the D coordinator!

Yeah, he's had 3 strong games with qbr over 110 too. Completely different styles, but consistency-wise he reminds me of Joe Ferguson.

They can't even develop who they have in house so I think it's a nonstarter. They blew Baker and blew it with Flacco this time around. At this point I seriously question if Stefanski has been a significant part of the problem with Watson? With Gabriel you can see it's half field reads and short to intermediate throws only. Is that helping or hurting him? I just don't trust Stefanski at this point.

They've also had a lot of injuries, though Berry has neglected it in the draft a bit. Getting Conklin back would help, stabilizing the quarterback with a more mobile one helps also. Would definitely take Berry over Beane for GM. The guy definitely pulls in stronger talent. Only big negative is how they handle their QB situation, especially with Shadeur this year. He should have got garbage time snaps yesterday. Rumor is Haslam had them draft Sanders and it feels like it because of the disdain those two have for him. Myles and Jeudy have both vouched for Sanders being first in last out and living in the OC's office to know every detail of every playcall. FO dysfunction.

Long shot, but going with Ewers might buy them a brief moment more. I think McDaniels has got the most out of Tua that anybody could, but he's just not good enough and that was apparent today. Terrible pocket awareness and choices at times. He should know better by now, just not good enough

Your philosophy of trying to equate everyone who enters this country illegally without a temporary visa as having the mindset of a violent criminal is truly ignorant and spineless. Why would people who come to this country for a better life including to make money, risk all that by exposing themselves before they could even place a vote? Why would they do this in large numbers? You are the one who posted on this issue. I would like you to present an argument on how this is a reasonable and significant (widespread) occurrence In Minnesota? Because all the social media crap you presented is outdated, ignorant, and mostly garbage.
-
Violent crime is too complex to really address. The rest of your examples are attempts to make money surreptitiously and not get caught. Why would an illegal go through the risk of getting caught first before committing the crime? Is there some evidence of a massive payoff if they successfully cast one vote?
-
This bill was passed in 2023 so you can review board of election reports of voter fraud and see how many Minnesota illegals committed the federal crime of voter fraud. Non-citizens are not allowed to vote and none of these laws gave them this right. It simply allowed illegals to obtain non-federal driver's licenses in hopes to prevent dangerous and illegal driving. There is a big difference between MN's automatic voter registration, which involves thorough vetting, and election day voter precinct registration. The weak point in election day precinct registration is that you must provide ID and proof of residency, but only sign a binding attestation form that you are a legal voter and not committing a federal crime. Ok. Let me ask you this. How does it make sense that an illegal, who is trying to make money, live, most often find a path to legal status and/or maintain residency, and most often has poor English skills (especially reading and writing), wants to risk exposing themselves to deportation by trying to fraudulently vote? In massive numbers?? Because the legal, non-citizen immigrants that I know hate having to submit to any government check of their identities. How are illegals driven in the opposite direction to shine a light on themselves while knowingly committing this federal crime? https://dps.mn.gov/divisions/dvs/license-and-id/dl-all The Driver’s License for All initiative expanded the accepted types of documentation required for Minnesotans to receive a standard driver’s license or identification (ID) card. Passed in 2023, Minnesota joined 18 other states, including the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, to allow a standard driver’s license to be issued without proof of immigration status. Automatic Voter Registration: https://www.sos.mn.gov/elections-voting/register-to-vote/automatic-voter-registration/ Automatic voter registration is called automatic because of its convenience for applicants. In fact, the process of registering someone to vote under this new law is complex and involves multiple points of human verification. Since there is a 20-day opt-out period and a verification process, voter registration may take 4-6 weeks from when a person first applies for their state-issued ID. Minnesotans can check their voter registration status online. https://www.sos.mn.gov/elections-voting/register-to-vote/register-on-election-day/ https://www.sos.mn.gov/elections-voting/register-to-vote/ Who can vote in Minnesota: To vote you must be: A U.S. citizen At least 18 years old on Election Day (16 & 17 year olds can pre-register) A resident of Minnesota for 20 days Not currently incarcerated for a felony conviction Not under a court order that revokes your right to vote

The obsession with turning Josh Allen into a pocket QBGaryPinC replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall At this point in his career, Josh knows how to be smart with his running, and I highly doubt they're going to be overly critical when he chooses to do so. It's at least an equal choice on Allen's part IMO to save it for critical situations late. They're also not doing their tush push much with him this year. It's very possible that his body is taking too much punishment and everyone felt the need to scale it back, especially early in the season. WRT the flip pass, he was just about to be sacked.

Why doesn't McDermott call the Defensive plays full time??GaryPinC replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall The team had little fight or energy Monday. McDermott needs to first figure out if Babich's poor leadership is a significant part of that, then decide accordingly how to handle it. Different situation if the situation is bringing the entire team down.
-
He's not the only one. Here's to the reset!🍻
-
That's the very first thing I thought of on that play, why the hell was he so far beyond the sticks? Especially with them getting quick pressure on Josh all game.
-
My subjective perceptions feel like he gameplans around what opponents show on film (tendencies, reactions, formations) and doesn't account for dynamic position weaknesses including injuries. Hell, his defensive system seems complicated enough already. Could it even handle individual rules and actions for the current opponent? Then there's Jordan Hancock. Listed third on the depth chart behind Cam Lewis at both positions. Is he that bad/behind or does McD not want to take a chance on another rookie with all the defensive problems? Thing is, Hancock has shown a nose for the ball, aggression and playmaking ability. Everything we desperately need from that safety position. For me at the start of the season, Walker, Hairston, and Hancock were the guys you really try to push along for that difference-making ability. Strong flashed later so the injury is a real shame too. But ever since Peterman, I have worried McD doesn't properly appreciate/develop the game changing talent he has on hand. Even their first year plan for Allen stunk from a personnel perspective. Not much has changed this year sadly except for Walker, but that's more a necessity than a choice. Agree and we also need a different, new coach from outside for D-coordinator. The problem is we're going to waste another Josh season unless McD takes to heart he needs to change his approach.
