  1. Missed seeing the game but trust your judgment. That's good but 1 for every 3 isn't good enough. Just saw he's out. We'll get our first look at the future Sunday!
  2. I guess we'll see if they've properly addressed it by playoffs. For the moment, I do feel better watching Bernard isolated on film. For me, our problems at safety are now more concerning due to the age of both. Poyer definitely looks slow now.
  3. Thanks for all the great content, and I definitely agree with you that Bernard's size is a definite concern. And I feel one of Edmunds's strengths is he's a very sure tackler when making the play. However, even though Pff gives him high grades for a low percent of missed probable tackles, can their stats accurately capture his lack of effort, hustle, and instinct to put himself in position to make more tackles? For me, it's why he never makes splash plays: he's not attacking the ball enough. He's too content to parade jog along with the play when it's more than 10 feet away from him. PFF rated him highest graded defender for week 2. Here's the extended highlights of that game. Just focus on what Edmunds is doing each play Tampa has the ball Granted, this is not the full game but it once again shows me Edmunds' career deficits. Once or twice he's in middle zone coverage and there's no one anywhere near him but he's content to sit and do nothing. In the second half of the tape, Mike Evans catches a pass and spins away from attempted tackles by Edmunds and a teammate. Edmunds ends up not more that 5 feet away from the guy and goes into parade jog while his teammate tries to bring down Evans. Watch as Edmunds usually gives ground to a blocker until he's out of the play far enough to parade jog. Tell me what stats capture this? Edmunds had his best year last year because it was a contract year and he knew he had to put more effort in for the money. But this year his habits persist and he's been in the league over 5 years now. You may be correct that the lights come on in the next year or so but we definitely couldn't wait anymore and at this point we can't rule out he won't be this half-hearted player the rest of his career. Go back to the Cover-1 video at the top of this thread and compare it to how Bernard plays the game. Look at the aggression, look at how he feints and negotiates through the big uglies to fill holes. How he sees the field and reacts, aggressively going to the ball. Totally different and superior to Edmunds. He may be smaller, but he's not going to shy away or give up from making the play. Your criticisms are warranted and I also doubt he ever becomes a beast against the run. But he's in his NFL infancy and I'm excited to see how he develops and we have to give him that time to do so. What I do think he'll be against the run is an MLB who covers the hole at the LOS and will need help to complete tackles but will definitely at least start the tackle or influence the runner. Will he get blown off the LOS some? Yes, but the defensive line will play a big role in limiting that. WRT playoffs, I agree his size may cause problems but I predict Bernard will be a better big playmaker than Edmunds ever was and playmakers are critical in the playoffs. Plus, the defense as a whole will probably play faster as a unit with Bernard over Edmunds. I saw enough with Edmunds never covering Kelce in critical moments to know at this point I'll take my chances with Bernard. Edmunds was JAG in the playoffs. The fun of it is hopefully no injuries and we'll see! I do respect your well-founded views and thanks for taking the time to elucidate and discuss them. Hopefully I'm right!😜 Go Bills!
  4. I would say that the board can't stand a player who doesn't work hard/effectively on the field and make plays to the best of his abilities. That's why we loved Freddy Jackson and Ryan Fitzpatrick, just to name two. Edmunds makes himself average.
  5. 😂Definitely the painting suit he sports is disturbing.
  6. WTH, did he just get done painting a fence? Looks like the fence won.
  7. Thanks for your analysis and feedback on Bernard, it's great to have contrasting input. The biggest negative of Bernard vs Edmunds will probably be in goal line situations as Bernard's smaller size will be magnified. He's going to make his share of mistakes but it's clear he's passionate, smart, and very decisive. My hope is that he'll be a true quarterback of the defense, making changes on the fly to adjust to offenses throwing something unexpected at us. I was curious, have you evaluated Edmunds' run defense in the past and could you compare the two players if so? TIA
  8. Thanks for posting this, it really made my day. Shows why the coaches handed him the job. Suffice to say I don't think Milano or the secondary will miss Edmunds and can play faster now. What impressed me the most is how he times his attacks. The early running play where they led the TE through the hole and he hid out behind the line blocking and jumped the RB after the TE went by. This guy really, really processes at a high speed. What a complete 180 from Edmunds. Should get even better as things continue to settle in!
  9. I do wonder if Milano will have a great season after Bernard fully settles in as there's no more Edmunds brain farts to worry about. Given KC's history with the Bills I wouldn't be surprised that part of their gameplan involved taking advantage of his weaknesses. He was probably frequently confused yesterday.
  10. I'm sorry, let me clarify. I am not saying that Edmunds is a complete liability out there, in agreement with your arguments. He will make most of the basic plays he is responsible for or he wouldn't be in the league. His lack of instincts frequently results in him making poor decisions either putting him in the wrong spot for the play being run or taking bad angles. His frequent unwillingness to attack the ball carrier away from his primary responsibilities is another one. I've never seen him fight through or even put up much resistance to a second level block on him, only at the line of scrimmage. All of these things make him a liability that his teammates have to account for. Given his draft position and physical attributes, this is why I say he sucks. He could and should be much better but IMO he doesn't have the heart for it. He did a bit better last year when a big fat contract was riding on it but he's returned to baseline.
  11. Edmunds sucks for two reasons: 1. He has little to no instincts for the game.2. He'll put effort into making a play right in front of him, but mails it in otherwise. Last year was a contract year and he put more effort into fighting through contact, getting to and making plays. It was the only year I felt he was "average" at his position. Having now gotten paid, he's reverted to baseline, allowing blockers to easily push him backwards, loping along the fringes of the ballcarrier when other teammates are closer. Jumping in on a tackle already being made. Continued poor instincts about where the ball is going. He lacks the appetite for aggression and violence that is especially crucial at his position. Those of us who played the game know it makes him a liability on the field. The fact that he's gone to two pro bowls makes it even more vexing. Chicago believed the hype. No excuses for them.
  12. Review your material evidence more closely. In particular, watch the replay. Look where Edmunds lines up. 3 receivers to the right. Ball is snapped, Love's eyes drift right for a second, which Edmunds reads and shifts slightly right to cover the developing post pattern. So far so good. Love then swings his eyes left, plants slightly left and hits the left slant pattern. At these exact moments, Edmunds inexplicably over-commits to covering a pattern farther right, clearing out and opening up the zone Aaron Jones trucks through for the TD. Even though the QB and running back were both showing left. This is your high paid, veteran, stud MLB stupidly taking himself out of the play. Jordan Love would have had to seriously pivot right to open his body up for a pass that direction and he never did that. His eye fake wasn't even very good, but Edmunds has no instincts for the game. He couldn't even catch up in pursuit he took himself out so badly. A most likely outcome of this play should have been Jones gets the completion and Edmunds tackles him for a short/moderate gain. But thanks to Edmunds, it wasn't. Firechans isn't making things up, he is right. You are wrong. This is a great example why many of us don't respect Edmunds as a top-paid linebacker. I hope you try to see the complexities of the game more.
  13. Jimmy Haslam is getting what he deserves. The Browns and their fans don't deserve this.
  14. Living in Cleveland I get to see his game more now. Weak pocket awareness and his ball placement/accuracy is randomly a little sketchy. On full display last night. Last week I chalked it up to the rain but plain to see last night. I won't be sad if he gets suspended/injured at some point because they late round drafted this QB from UCLA, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who did some good things this preseason with moxie and may have a legit chance to be a starter down the line.
  15. Poyer's lost two steps. Yesterday, he couldn't run anything down unless it was straight in front of him. McD's going to need to address it or opposing OC's will.
  16. Definitely agree. But I was never satisfied with how Frazier ran the D, hopefully we're smartly and notably more aggressive tonight.
  17. Yesterday I watched the Browns D-line just utterly handle Cinci's O line and it brought back sour contrasting memories of our impotence in the playoff game. We'll get our first look at things tonight.
  18. Well, they looked pretty damn complacent against the Steelers a few weeks ago. Thanks for your great thoughts, I want them to be right. I like reading how Josh Allen is going to be more hands-on about everything with the offense this year. I like that McDermott is running the D and already shows signs of more aggressive play calling and blitzing to pressure the QB. I'm most concerned about this O-line being able to be dominant enough against the teams that matter. Torrence is a Godsend, but if Dawkin's play falls off it's going to be a problem come playoffs. I'm secondly concerned with this D-line becoming a dominant force against the best teams. We couldn't even handle Cinci's patched up O-line last year. We've spent far too much money and draft picks for them not to shoulder more of the load this year. Especially with our MLB situation. Looking forward to seeing how they look Monday. Great test against the Jets. Go Bills!
  19. Yep, welcome back to weality, wight wing weetards. A Trump-appointed judge dealing it out and standing up proudly for this country!
  20. Rapinoe didn't deserve to be on the field. Slow, rusty, and unmotivated when she was brought in. Reminded me of Abby Wambach back in 2015. Washed up. Bye-bye coach.
  21. Interesting development to me today: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/russia-arrests-a-hard-line-nationalist-who-accused-putin-of-weakness-in-ukraine/ar-AA1eaxwR?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=3d662847ac694b4db70e0718ff6a3908&ei=35 Igor Girkin/Strelkov played a leadership role for Russia in Donetsk in 2014 and has ties to the military and current conflict in Ukraine. He's been hugely critical of Russian leadership, including Putin, for some time now. He also doesn't like and is critical of Prigozhin and Wagner. What's interesting to me is why is Girkin arrested while Prigozhin is still free and mouthing off? I've never fully believed the health/cancer rumors about Putin but at this point I wonder if there is some truth to them and Prigozhin is tabbed to soon be his successor? Perhaps just biding time in Belarus until Putin's gone? It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me otherwise. Thoughts?
  22. I can understand, for me all the conspiracy crap went mainstream right before Donnie's election and the Republican Party is just an utter mess of right wing snowflakes since then. While things started well, Donnie's ego and swamp really got going the second half of his presidency. He will mess this F country up for a good long time if he gets back in. He's no longer rational.
  23. No one wants dipsh*t Donnie either, and the Repugnantfans can't seem to get that through their thick skulls. As an independent, if those are my only two choices I'm voting to keep Trump out and so are a ton of reasonably-minded voters. I'm hoping either Biden dies in 6 months or the RNC and party come to their senses. Let's face it, the old guard on both sides cling to power and the money brokers continue to support them even as it weakens and tears the country apart. Most troubling of times...
  24. I liked Tyrod and he was an important bridge QB. My optimism for him fizzled by the end of year 1. On the field, for me, he was a slight step up from Kyle Orton. Both of them left me with vomit in the back of my throat. They were never going to do what it took to win a game down the stretch. Kyle, because he didn't give a crap to risk himself. Tyrod, because he didn't seem to have a clue about when or the need to take risks. Fitz I have respect for on the field because he gave it all he had and took the risks as needed. I'll take losing while trying to win over cowardly losing 100x over.

This stuff is the bomb for sanitizing, definitely worth the investment over the old ways. There are instructions for hydrating and activating yeast. Definitely update yourself as to the advances. You can transfer the wort by gravity with a simple hose or some fermenters have a spigot.
