  1. Easy ... Kyle Williams. Read out of town stories about the Bills; listen to the television commentators; or just wake up and realize that not everything related to the Buffalo Bills is trash (This morning I am wondering why so many Jest fans want to allege they are Bills' fans by showing up on this board.). Obviously our LB corps up the middle could not do anything to finish off the work of Williams but I do not think there is a team in the league who would not want to have him on their DL.
  2. Once again, I have just as much faith or more i honestly n our poll's guesses that are currently being posted as I would ever have in Kiper, et. al. Go look at the results so far and add your own top ten.
  3. We each seem to have our opinions about the draft experts but here's a chance for this board to come up with our most popular top ten draft picks (maybe even extended to the top 20). Let's see if this board can do as well as the Mel Kipers of the world. And, it will be interesting to see whose star is falling for the draft in our opinion! Let's hope that Buddy makes the draft a non-mockable one for the Bills this year. Get your vote in and let's see what our experts have to say!
  4. The only experts I believe when it comes to the MOCK DRAFTs are the announcers on ESPN who tell me what picks the Bills have made and then we can all decide whether or not to mock them. These paid fools who sit in their dark rooms spinning a wheel to guess at what team will pick what player are amongst the luckiest guys in the world because they get paid for passing on something that has no basis as fact. The real fools are those who sit on the edge of their seats and believe any of the guesses. Any of us who follow the game can come up with a possibility list for each of the first ... 15 picks or so. After that it is truly a guessing game. So, I will again defer from paying attention to the experts, will not pay for their publications, and more than likely will not even visit their websites for clarification. I have better things to do with my time and money.
  5. Moats seems to have the tools ... we just need to start over in the middle. Poz gets pushed downfield before finally making tackles and he can't cover worth a darn. I am not a big Von Miller fan because he seems to play for the big play not every down ... he takes a lot of time off, which to me is not what we would want from a #3 pick.
  6. That will teach me to type without coffee in me ... DAVID NELSON (the son of Ozzie and Harriet and brother of Ricky) not THE DONALD. Sorry about that one ... no wonder he gets no votes! But then again Aaron doesn't either.
  7. I am torn between him and Jackson.
  8. So, we are getting new jerseys. I know I have held off buying another jersey since I paid for my Eric Moulds UGLY Bills' jersey because the jerseys are just so ugly and no one knows that they are Bills' jerseys. I am excited about the possibility and Fred Jackson's tweet indicates he is excited (no one liked the ones we have been wearing) so I am going to buy one but whose do I buy? Fred Jackson is definitely near the top of the list. Whose name and number would you buy next to wear? Whose jerseys do you still have .... I only have two right now the Moulds and a Flutie jersey. Finally, what's the best website to buy jerseys at and avoid paying the insane NFL markup (all jerseys are made in China anyhow sadly)?
  9. The current stomach turners were there for this failed decade ... every one of them should be burned in a garbage pile. Frankly anything would be better than what we have had to watch for the last 8 years. I am hopeful for the team and now hopeful for the uniforms ....yes, my wallet might be opening up for a new one but whose uniform do you buy?
  10. If you believe in Mel Kiper then you might as well put some money down on that bridge in NY City ... I always laugh when he's given such credibility but truly usually washes out with the exception of his picks that are in agreement with everyone else. Can anyone name a sleeper Mel Kiper pick that some team 'stole' late in the draft? Did he ever play or coach any sport in his entire life other than the school of messed up hair? Sorry ... don't look at his stuff pre-draft or post-draft. I give every draft class at least 3 years to prove themselves (that being said, we obviously have had some bad drafts). So ... send Mel your money .... not me.
  11. Or the job opportunities for his life if his body doesn't hold up and the Bills cut him before the season starts. This signing should be seen as a positive. If we had let him sign elsewhere everyone would be screaming. Just imagine if his health is good and he played elsewhere. Remember it's not your money and that the Bills have plenty of money to spend. If Merriman can showcase coming to Buffalo as a positive that would be great! He already talked on the sports radio in Washington DC about how much potential he sees in the Bills' program. Time to leave these 'why did we sign Merriman' and the postings to sign every old quarterback ... all in the same trash heap. GO BILLS ...
  12. Clay Matthews motor never stops ... he works his butt off every play ... Von Miller has talent but waits to showcase himself otherwise he sits back and waits. I didn't see the Senior Bowl but I did watch Miller in a few games this season and he makes the highlight reel but then goes at 1/4 speed. He may have more talent than Maybin but the motivation just isn't there ...
  13. Time for rhe skeptics to take a deep breath ... Our front office has one of the most highly sought after talents as Asst GM ... Our coaching staff has two top head coaches on staff ... Let's hope the sorting out of players continues ... We have the best NT in football ... Our wideouts are not too shabby and Fred Jackson I'd take every day. The OL is getting better ... Now let's draft DEFENSE and get ready for some football!!
  14. Gailey's analysis of the 4 remaining quarterbacks clearly states that it takes a good defense to make a good quarterback. We are not picking a QB early - this Year's draft will all be about Ddddddd defense!
  15. He is so deserving of this. What's amazing ... the out of town experts and fans all love Kyle Williams as a NT. Here in NJ where I am surrounded by Eagles, Jets, and Giant fans my friends rave about Williams play. But, here on this board ... it seems there is this bizarre thought that he should play DE and that what he has done could be done better by some other player. Yet, King has him as the best NT in the league bar none. What we need is a stud DE or LB in the draft and Williams will be even more of an asset as our PRO BOWL NT!!
  16. That is definitely one of THE BEST!!!
  17. Although I agree with some of the other posters that you can create a negative video about any player if you want ... Miller to me is a player who looks for the highlight reel play and goes out and makes it but then he just sits back and waits to look good again ... Definitely not someone I want on the Bills.
  18. I have a friend who goes to bars too ... it seems he comes up with all sorts of amazing reports from the psychics he talks with afterwards. Although he is still waiting to meet the beautiful blonde with the million dollar inheritance he knows that his sports predictions are 'spot on!' In fact, I think he may have even bumped into your brother coming out of Madame Zuma's $10 Psychic Sports Parlor ... WE NEED DEFENSE ... forget the quarterback picks ... none are worthy of the #3 position in the draft. Although Fairley will probably be gone at #1, we still will benefit from our choice of several players who can have an impact such as Bowers from Clemson. Alabama's Dareus and even North Carolina's Quinn all are much better selections for the Bills at #3. No we do not need Von Miller (we were blessed with Van Miller for all those wonderful years that Von and his work hard when it makes him look good attitude can go elsewhere). But, I'd tell your brother to go back to Madame Zuma and get his $10 back because Newton is not going to be a TOP FIVE pick at all ....
  19. My out of town friends have always been impressed with the sight lines and comfort of the stadium. Almost all have loved the ambiance outside the stadium in the Abbott Road lots. What they have not liked is the weather, the rest rooms, and the number of people who stand for most of the game blocking views.
  20. What I have seen of Von Miller is that his motor is not always going ... when he wants to make plays he seems to increse his intensity but frequently he is sitting back if a "big play" is not within sight. I frankly would be worried about picking him up with the #3 pick.
  21. As another UB alum, it shows what a great job Turner Gil did at UB. The Bulls are starting to make their marks in the NFL! Now, some attention needs to be given to the program back at UB! And, Starks does show that it is rare that a running back is worth a first round pick ... there always seem to be some good RB's and WR's who don't get drafted or who are available later in the draft. Linemen early .. the building blocks of a team!
  22. Wait ... wait .... maybe this board can start whining about not having Cowher and how either he or Shanny are the answers to all of the problems of the Bills. It is clear to me that other teams and perhaps the Bills have learned that winning a Super Bowl in one city has never been a guarantee that the coach will win one in the next city he goes to. The lack of interest just makes me laugh at how everyone on the board screamed last winter during our search. I think we got the right guy!
  23. This was his ROOKIE SEASON!!! He showed some signs of being decent and showed some signs that veteran offensive linemen could take advantage of him. It would have been nice to see him play a little more but we had a Pro Bowl player named Williams who we needed in the game. I can't remember what McCargo did his rookie year but elsewhere on this board the 'seasoned veteran' McCargo's statistics have been displayed. In addition, a certain Penn State lineman I am sure did not come close to Troup's contributions and he was picked in ROUND #1. So, take a deep breath ... let's see if Troup works out during the off season, hits the film room, and works to be a better on the DL. By this time next year we should have a better and more accurate sense of this draft pick!
  24. Fred is ours and I am glad he is ours. Marshawn had one run ... an amazing run ... an NFL forever highlight reel run but that's all he has really done since going to Seattle. I am happy for him and hope it turns his career and life around. But, it was his longest run since his junior year in college ... and in addition to not coming close to that since then he has had his walk on the wild side .... give me our quality citizen, team player, and great running back Fred Jackson ... and the draft picks!
