  1. Having Mosley and Williams out certainly would not help their cause. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/09/jets-dont-expect-c-j-mosley-quinnen-williams-to-practice-wednesday/
  2. The NFL Network reported that the Giants defense registered only one quarterback pressure against the Cowboys this week.
  3. The flag was thrown after JA released the pass. The pass is intercepted before the flag hits the ground. So JA did not know there was a penalty when he threw the pass.
  4. It stinks he’s on the Pats, obviously. That being said, I wish he were active for the Steelers game. That would have made for some good opening-week action.
  5. When using the college streaming option can you start the games on a delay or otherwise “record” them and watch them from the beginning at a later time? Thanks.
  6. September 12, 1982 Bills v Chiefs Bills won 14-9 on a sweltering afternoon. Jimmy Connors won the US Open the same day and I remember watching part of it on a small portable television in a parking lot at Rich. I went to an earlier Bills home game in ‘80 or ‘81 but I can’t recall the date.
  7. There is a distinction between why CK took a knee and the collusion lawsuit against the NFL. They are two different things. He took a knee to bring attention to racial injustices. That act relates to what you refer to as his “principal and conviction.” The lawsuit CK filed against the NFL had nothing to do with his principals as they relate to racial justice issues, rather it involved seeking compensation for the concerted effort by the NFL to prevent him from playing football and the damages he incurred as a result. By agreeing to settle, CK is merely accepting a resolution to his having been blocked from playing football. It says nothing about the underlying racial justice issues or CK’s commitment to those issues. As such, settling with the NFL does not make him a “sell out” as to those issues.
  8. I’m all for getting players. But it doesn’t change that Crossman has been a bad coach
  9. Yes. Coaches are responsible for players carrying out basic responsibilities. The special teams deficiencies have been chronic all season; penalties, turnovers, missed assignments have been rampant. Does Crossman deserve a pass? He has been horrible for a long time. He needs to go.
  10. Theo losses in a row attributed primarily to special teams mistakes.
  11. How many weeks/ years do we have to deal with this?
  12. The guys on the morning show are decent (Simon, White, Sal), but I agree, the post-game crew is unlistenable.
  13. Missed blocking on the punt that was almost blocked; guys running into each other on the muffed punt; multiple special teams penalties again. Special teams played an important role in the loss today. Another useless comment
  14. Another week with subpar special teams play that affected the outcome of the game. This has gone on for years since Crossman has been the special team coach. The special teams has been disorganized and has made major mistakes week in and week out this season. I’m surprised there has been no questioning from the Buffalo media on this point. Crossman needs to go.
  15. I know many Eagles fans and have been to Phillies, Eagles and Flyers games. Generally speaking, Philadelphia fans are no different than fans anywhere else (Flyer fans might be an exception). The idea that they are somehow "trashier" than fans in other locations is simply a myth. Sure, there is certainly an element that is obnoxious and out of control, but it is the same element that exists in other fan bases. For example, I was at a Red Sox game at Fenway in the 80's when I saw what looked like an entire section of Boston fans descend on a family of Tiger's fans, tear apart a sign they were holding and steal hats off of the kids' heads. I was at the Bills v. Eagles game in Philly in 2015 and nobody gave me a hard time. The Eagles have a dedicated and long suffering fan base, much like the Bills. I am happy for them.
  16. September 12, 1982 against the Chiefs. It was hot. I went with my dad and he got this little portable television and we watched Jimmy Connors play Ivan Lendl in the US Open final in the parking lot. Fergy threw a TD pass to Jerry Butler and the Bills won. I went to a least one prior game in 1980 with my grandfather but I can't recall who they played. I still have a Bills rain poncho from that game.
  17. Yes. But then again, I've routinely been "concerned" since I started watching Bills games in 1980.
  18. Sometimes it's hard to quantify the quality of play of defensive lineman. Stats don't always tell the story. I think this is the case With Shaq. He has done an excellent job taking on blockers and forcing running backs into spaces where open linebackers have been in a position to make tackles. In other words, I think he is playing his position exactly how the coaching staff is asking him to play it.
  19. It was one of my kids' first experiences attending a Bills game. She was bored out of her mind by the 3rd quarter (as was the case for most fans in attendance). I told her that the the anguish associated with dramatically losing a very winnable game was good preparation for being a life-long Bills fan.
