  1. Watch the replay and look at Corner's elbow: clearly down in the endzone. The refs muffed this game badly. Today's game is yet another example of the inadequacies of nfl reffing. Perhaps the NFL will one day cease to recruit its officiating staff from AARP meetings and will get qualtiy football people who actually understand the rules of the game and are physically and mentally capable with keeping up with the action. Today's Bill's game was an abomination. The league should be ashamed.
  2. yep, it just "takes the sails out of our wind." Ironically, Hank is credited for bringing the 3-4 defense to the NFL.
  3. Not to worry; I live in Philly. They routinely eat people like Jimmy for breakfast here.
  4. Hey guys, did you ever consider that he might not really be a Jets fan? Everything he says is far too sophisticated for a real life Jets fans. As you all know, most Jets fans make grunting sounds to communicate. For nourishment, Jets fans rely on a dump truck that drops piles of raw meat in the parking lot of the meadowlands. Our new friend is far too clever and evolved for these activities. My guess is that he is really a bored Bills fan looking to push all of our buttons. PS: B-I-L-L-S
  5. I also think it has something to do with the behavior of the fans for the opposing team. There were some Dolphin fans in my section. One of them looked like Vanilla Ice. He was talking trash to the entire section throughout the game. People gave him a hard time but generally left the other Dolphin fans alone. It should be common sense to not heckle the home fans at an NFL game when you have the away team's jersey on. Frankly, I'm suprised the guy didn't get it much worse given the way he was acting. As far as the booze is concerned, I don't think that the NFL is even remotely concerned about excessive drinking. Pay attention to the commercials during the next game. 30% involve drinking. Teams make a ton of money from concessions and the tailgating scene has contributed greatly to the rise of the NFL in popularity. I believe that many people who attend NFL games care as much about the tailgate as they do the actual game. Drinking will not be severed from the NFL sunday experience. It goes on at every stadium, every weekend, in total excess.
  6. I have better things to do than listen to dumb meatheads on a radio show. As a result, I did not hear their comments. Frankly I could care less about their opinions on the Bills or anything else. I am looking forward to watching the Bills this season.
  7. Hopefully the last few games are evidence that Edwards is returning to his form of a couple years ago. At least it gives us something to feel positive about heading into the season.
  8. I like listening to wgr, but I agree, it's their job to watch the entire game. Sad to think that they have something better to do; I wouldn't treat my job that way.
  9. I'm thinking that McNabb would've looked nice in Bill's uniform. Too bad he (allegedly) spurned us.
  10. I'n not going to set fire to my television because we looked bad during the first preseason game with over half of our offensive line out. And didn't we already know that this was going to be a difficult season? Settle down my friends; it is going to be a long and challenging season.
  11. Don't forget that we are missing Green, Wood, and Bell. They might not be superstars but they are 3 of 5 starters.
  12. I disagree. The worst thing is having to listen to Joe Theisman's interminable babble.
  13. Very true. I would take a Bills playoff spot first. We are due.
  14. I love this! Keep holding out Revis!
  15. I agree with both points. While I'm doubtful about a Bills playoff berth, I am anxiously awaiting the inevitable Jets implosion.
  16. Jack Kerouac arguably wrote some of the best American fiction of the 20th century. Please don't compare him with the drivel produce by Adam/ Aaron Shatz. Although I bet Mr. Shatz is well versed in Madden '09, which clearly makes him an NFL expert.
  17. This article is garbage. And who is Adam Shatz? And who cares what some knucklehead from "Football Outsiders" has to say. It's like one of us writing an article on the history of weaving. This is not a critique of the Bills fan who posted this (I'm glad you did). I'm just tired of listening to naysayers who aren't Bills fans. We all know the Bills aren't good. And while I can take the expressed frustration of fellow Bills fans, I don't need another subpar "sports writer" to tell me what is wrong with my team. I'm just hoping to be suprised this season by the Bills playing some competitive football and learning how to be a winning team again. I don't need Mr. Shatz, in his infinite wisdom, telling me that we all suck.
  18. Maybe we'll see a lot of two tight end formations.

  20. Sorry. Didn't see that someone else had just started a similar thread.

  22. You refer to Obama's "base". What do you mean by that? Generally, I would presume your comments (in the context that you presented them) to be a euphemism for racist or classist stereotyping. However, since you claim to be a Bills fan, I will give you a chance to explain your position. Nevertheless, it seems absurd to think that Obama wouldn’t want to create jobs.
