C'mon bend dont break

Per ESPN: Kraft is a model owner because he built the stadium with "private money" (bulls...), and because he also built a huge mall next to the stadium. The NFL is a big farce.

Sparano takes team to see G.I. Joe

"the longest yard", or "mission impossible" -
While everyone seems to have a problem with the cryptic nature of the Patriot's injury reports, I think it is actually smart on their part. Why not let the opposition game plan for players who won't be in the game. My problem is that the Bills don't do the same. Let the patriots guess whether TO and Schobel are playing.

Peters first game as an Eagle
buffalonian replied to DwightSchrute's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That won't do; he has a sore quad (and tight ends don't make as much as left tackles) -
Philly fans will have the same inconsistant reaction to Vick as would any other fans. Some people will love having him while other fans will vow to stop rooting for the Eagles. I can't imagine that McNabb will be happy. He is very sensitive about his role with the team. He consideres himself the face of the franchise, and in many ways he is correct. He almost left town last season when Reid benched him for a game. He will not be happy.

Peters first game as an Eagle

The Eagles have had a tough pre-season for injuries. I'm not sure what impact the Vick signing will have. I like McNabb, but he is overly sensitive. It will be interesting. -
Peters first game as an Eagle
buffalonian replied to DwightSchrute's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winston Justice was playing rt tonight and he looked as solid as Peters. Also Brad Celek got knocked out of the game with a shoulder injury. The Eagles are making the Bills look like they have a treasure trove of tight ends. -
Peters first game as an Eagle

I'm watching the "Eagles Television Network, broadcasting from Scranton to Stone Harbor." Even the heavily biased Eagle commentators were concerned by JP's inability to pass block. Wait until they see him run block. -

He gave up two sacks then left the game with a quad injury. He started this season the way he ended last season: getting abused by the Pats. -
What do you miss about Buffalo?
buffalonian replied to Billistic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- family and friends - the fact that Buffalo has the amenities of most large cities without the expense and congestion - the food (which has been already been greatly discussed) - the weather in the summer is perfect - the laid back, friendly, and unpretentious sensibilities of the people - Living in Bills and Sabres country -
http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles...iss_Philly.html I was in Philly when the Eagles and TO had their famous meltdown. I always thought that the Eagles mishandled the situation. For example, the Eagles made a big public fuss when Owens parked his car in a coach's parking space at training camp. This should have been dealt with internally and without great fanfare. Instead, it became a big media story. Many people in Philadelphia thought that the Eagles simply didn't want to pay Owens anymore money and used his "antics" as excuse to get rid of him. I'm not sure if I buy that explanation, but the Eagles certainly could have dealt with Owens differently.

Bills Home Game(s) Already Sold Out
buffalonian replied to buffalonian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess the Bills box office and the Buffalo news have engaged in a great conspiracy to fool all readers of TBD. Then again, maybe you should just check your facts before you post. http://www.buffalonews.com/452/story/696783.html The game is sold out and you are wrong. -
Bills Home Game(s) Already Sold Out
buffalonian replied to buffalonian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cleveland fans would've had to buy tickets through Bills season ticket holders. I doubt this accounts for the game selling out so quickly. Also, I'd bet the home opener is also sold out (although this is pure speculation). -
My brother and I tried to get some extra tickets to the home game against Cleveland this morning and were told by the box office that the game was entirely sold out. This raises some interesting questions: 1) Does this prove that despite being a small market, Buffalo has little difficulty supporting (at least in terms of general, non-luxury box, ticket sales) the Bills in one of the largest NFL stadiums. 2) How much harder would it be to get tickets to games if the Bills were regularly in the playoffs? 3) Should the Bills reserve more tickets for non season ticket holders? 4) How do you explain Bills fans eagerly buying tickets after ten subpar season? (What does this say about us as fans/ Buffalonians)? What do you guys think?

I don't think he would have much of a suit against the police. He apparently fit some type of description given by the woman, who may have even identified him. It sounds like the cops arrested him based on the identification by the woman. This goes to show that identification evidence is extremely problematic. Victims identify innocent people everyday as having committed crimes. These victims aren't necessarily lying, they are just wrong. A jury should have some real strong physical evidence before convicting someone based on an identification.

Clayton says Bills likely not done dealing
buffalonian replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've always wondered if Clayton ever actually held a football. -
I was hoping that the Bills would resign Peters. It's hard to believe that only a couple of years ago he was estatic with the contract the Bills gave him, which was done while he was already under contract. I usually don't think this way, but JP deserves some bad karma for this. I live in Philly and know that the fans here will eat him alive if he plays the way he did last season. I certainly won't feel bad for him. The Bills deserved better than the way he acted.
