  1. I’ll be there. Section 331. Coaching a youth basketball game Saturday morning then hopping in the car for a 6 hour drive to the Stadium. Go Bills!
  2. Yeah. That would be useful. Any information about how teams attempt to mitigate bad weather conditions during the game.
  3. Maybe. I really have no idea what I'm talking about on this subject. Just making assumptions.
  4. I assume they will be rotating balls like they do when it is raining. Maybe they will keep balls warm when not in use, and switch them in after each possession. (That's alot of talk about balls in two sentences).
  5. …but have you subscribed to the NYT’s cooking section? I finally did. It’s worth it. I live in a house with a vegan, a vegetarian, and a fully devoted carnivore, among others. The NYT cooking app has helped ease my dinner time pain.
  6. The NYT has had a pretty minimalist sports section for several years now. But I don’t recall politics ever surfacing much it in sports news reporting; maybe in some sports-related editorial content but I think that is to be expected in any publication. My guess is that acquiring the Athletic is an effort by the NYT to seriously bolster its Sports content, which has been nearly non-existent for quite some time. I don’t subscribe to the Athletic. Does it publish editorial content? Would it, for instance, publish opinionated pieces on a topic like Colin Kaepernick, or other topics where sports, politics, and culture intersect?
  7. What “crap” are you concerned about? Just curious, I’ve subscribed to the NYT for many years and have generally found it to be a good newspaper, not perfect, but really good.
  8. While I personally disagree with Beasley's view on vaccinations, I agree with your sentiment. I don't want to see any of these players (or anyone at all for that matter) sick with COVID. I'm really looking forward to a time when COVID is no longer an issue. But that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.
  9. Mac Jones was absolute trash in this game. So was Wentz. How lucky are we to have a QB like Josh Allen.
  10. Pats gave up 226 rushing yards when they knew the other team was going to run but they couldn’t stop it. Sound familiar?
  11. Seriously. Why care about something like this? I wouldn’t go, but I could careless if others decide to do so.
  12. I agree, but you might feel a bit more optimistic if you look at the AFC schedule down the stretch. It is brutal for much of our competition for a playoff spot. Also, all of the teams "in the hunt" have multiple games against other teams "in the hunt," so there will necessarily be attrition. Even the Patriots could reasonably lose 3 of their last 4 (Indy, Buffalo, Miami).
  13. With the exception of the Colts, every loss has been incredibly close and has come down to a play or two. Yet every win has been a blowout. There is tremendous parity in the AFC this season, and homefield advantage doesn't seem to matter as much as it once did. If the Bills can get in the playoffs, they will have as good a chance as anyone to win games.
  14. Bills lead the league over the past four weeks in turnovers (11). This, more than anything, has to change for the remainder of the season.
  15. 85% of GMFB is just silliness. Beyond Nate Burleson and Michael Robinson there is little in terms of credible football insight (although some of the guest commentators who played have been good too). Kyle Brandt’s schtick used to be entertaining but has become tiresome. Overall, the constant need for a new storyline to keep fans engaged, and the hysteria in which they proclaim it, has made the show non-credible in my mind.
  16. Cleveland was without Chubb and Hunt, and Mayfield was injured during the game, FWIW.
  17. I guess the Bills should rest their starters on Monday, hope for a wild card berth and pray they make it to the AFC championship game where they are certain to be beaten by the Patriots who have been ordained AFC champs with 6 games left in the regular season.
  18. The Patriots certainly have a good team. But I think many Bills fans are annoyed by the un-tempered exuberance being showered upon them these days by football talking heads on television and elsewhere. I watched Good Morning Football on Friday morning following the Bills v. Saints game. The overriding opinion of the panel was that the victory shed no light on the Bills as a team because they beat an injury depleted Saints team. While a fair point, there was no mention that the Bills offense was great against a Saints defense that was relatively healthy or that the game was basically over early in the second half. Contrast that with the discussion about the Patriots win this morning on GMFB, where the panel gushed about the Pats being the best team in the AFC while failing to mention that the Titans rushed for 270 yards despite missing their 3 best offensive players; and kept the game close until early in the 4th quarter despite missing key defensive players and having made made numerous devastating mistakes (2 fumbles, missed field goal and extra point, horrible tackling, etc). I get that the talking heads on shows like GMFB are simply entertainers, who rely on new storylines to keep fans engaged. But their inconsistency in dealing with the Patriots is particularly annoying to non-Patriot fans, especially given the past 20 years. All of this is to say, that I am really looking forward to the game on Monday. Like every one else on this board I care most about the Bills winning each week, winning the division, and hopefully winning the Super Bowl. But a Bills win on Monday comes with a bonus; quelling the recent unabashed media love-fest for the Patriots.
  19. I thought the same thing. Weather was terrible that day too.
  20. I bet most fans of every playoff hopefull in the AFC feel this way right now (as far as worrying about making the playoffs). However, what seperates the Bills from these other teams is that the Bills have the #1 defense in the NFL, one of the top quaterbacks, some excellent playmakers on offense and defense, great coaching, and playoff experience. There is a reason that the Bills still have the best odds to win the superbowl as far as Vegas is concerned (+600). The Jacksonville loss was terrible, and made us feel terrible, but the Bills remain one of the top teams in the NFL, who should absolutely make the playoffs and be one of the top seeds. But I do understand the angst, especially with New England right behind us; given our history with that team over the last 20 years.
