  1. Cleveland. 50 yard line. 10th row. Bills side. Mayfield, Tyrod, and Allen. I know only preseason but I'm still excited.
  2. I actually don't see a problem with trying with a guy like this. Putting him on the practice squad and seeing what he can do. He is definitely very athletic. How is it different than asking Jason Peters to learn a completely different position. Or JJ Watt for that matter switching from tight end to defensive end. Guys have switched sports or positions for years. Some positions are much easier to learn than others. I would rather try a guy that may have unlimited upside over one of a hundred other guys that all have ability within 1% of each other. My question is I don't even know if he's draftable or signable. He's only 20, and he has to be out of high school for 3 years so it would depend on when he graduated. How could it hurt to at least send a scout and try him out.
  3. His legs are like tree trunks
  4. I'm not suggesting he could ever make it in the NFL or that he should be drafted, just a little break from this crazy stress of which QB we will get.
  5. Watch video at top Rugby player Jordan Mailata (6-8, 345 pounds) giving NFL a shot - NFL.com http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000920719/article/rugby-player-jordan-mailata-68-345-pounds-giving-nfl-a-shot
  6. I disagree. I rarely post on this message board but I check it and read it almost hourly and have for a dozen years. This is exactly the type of post that I come to TBD hoping to find and to be able to read. I am beyond sick of people complaining about multiple "similar" postings or worried about 'posting counts' and that being a determining factor in an individuals credibility or love for the Bills. In fact I almost prefer new postings so i don't have to scroll through 80 pages of mostly nonsense. I compliment this poster, and would like to say thank you for your effort and insight and please continue the good work. I have liked Rudolph for over a year and have predicted him to be the Bills choice for just as long. Thanks again.
  7. I'd be interested in 2 tickets if anyone has some available. Thanks in advance.

  9. Only because I'd love to see Fred Smerlas play again... My second choice being Cookie Gilchrist because I've never seen him play, not even in video.
  10. I don't think Ragland is even relevant in your argument. He was taken with the 41st pick after the Bills traded up 8 spots with Chicago giving up two 4ths in the process. Buffalo contacted every team in the second round starting with Cleveland attempting to move up and Chicago was the first taker. So Buffalo couldn't have gotten Jack with their second round pick. Then the question becomes should they have drafted him with their first round pick instead of Shaq Lawson? This is the Myles Jack that every single team in the first round passed on. So if we were wrong, everyone else was wrong as well.
  11. I agree 100%. Everyone is resigned to the fact that EJ is out because he has been practicing with the 3rd team and Cassel and Tyrod are in because they have been with the 1's and 2's. How about consider that the complete opposite is true. They already know they are keeping EJ so are giving the other 2 players most of the quality reps to decide which among those 2 will be kept as well. That is my thinking. I guess we will see. My bet is he stays. And starts.
  12. I know very little about Charles Clay and am not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but it is extremely informative and makes me better understand the Bills desire to sign him. http://www.thephinsider.com/2014/7/17/5913477/the-curious-case-of-charles-clay
  13. Thank you so much to everyone for the replies. I will definitely be at one of them.
  14. Getting off cruise ship Sunday morning, was wondering if anyone knew where I could watch the Bills game.... Thanks
  15. I disagree. I think with a changing room a lot of $100 jerseys would be walking out under sweatshirts, etc. There's a lot of very expensive things that would disappear. I do however think more mirrors are needed. They only have 2 by the hats. None on the other side of the store by the jerseys.
  16. Or he could sit him for the year possibly severely devaluing him going into free agency.
  17. The Bills have 49 sacks. 1 from the record with 2 games to go.
  18. Maybe, just maybe he made a deal with the devil... "I'll give you a better arm, super bowl rings, fame, fortune, and a smoking hot wife. You just might have to give me one little thing in return. "A pro, and leader, in every sense.
  19. It's a degenerative condition. This isn't me looking to find trivial things wrong with Byrd. This is a legitimate concern. " there is at least a 40% chance a player with those risk factors will eventually require hip surgery or other treatment for degenerative conditions."
  20. http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2605795'>http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2605795 Everyone is ecstatic that Jarius Byrd is back but why is everyone so willing to throw a big contact his way? He has been diagnosed with the same hip problem that Percy Harvin has that has at least a 40% chance of requiring hip surgery. This after Byrd has already had problems with and lost playing time because of his hips. Maybe the Bills are doing the right thing in not throwing him a huge contract with a ton of guaranteed money. "Harvin hadn't appeared on an injury report with a hip issue since Weeks 2 and 3 of the 2010 season. But every NFL team that examined Harvin at the 2009 scouting combine knew he had impingement and tightness in both hips as well as weak abductor muscles, two people with knowledge of those examinations told USA TODAY Sports. The people spoke on condition of anonymity since the results were not released.A study published in January — co-authored by Vikings team physician Christopher Larson, Tennessee Titans team physician Thomas Byrd and hip specialist Bryan Kelly — suggests there is at least a 40% chance a player with those risk factors will eventually require hip surgery or other treatment for degenerative conditions.Another player from the 2009 draft, Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd, showed similar signs on X-rays at the combine and ended up missing the end of his rookie season to have surgery for a labral tear — the same type of injury Kelly is to fix for Harvin today in New York". http://m.usatoday.com/article/news/2605795
