Buffalo Bills: Back to Bojorquez
JimmyNoodles replied to LeGOATski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bojorquez (hope spelling is right) was easily our best punter last year. His job to lose. -
I think this was the greatest single season. However, for a career I can't argue with Brown or Saunders.

Bills sign TE Jake Fisher to 1-year deal

Not really. -
Bills did not Tender Logan Thomas Now a UFA

I think we'll draft one too, and I like Croom as a TE experiment much more than Thomas. -

Granted, Timothy O'Leary didn't have much of year with the fins, but IMO he was much better receiving option. Two year totals for both guys...Thomas 19 Rec for 144 yds. ...O'Leary 30 for 408. O'leary got dumped in a year they needed guys who could catch. Not a big deal, but he might have been useful last year. -

Unfortunately, a wasted experiment. Should have kept Jack Nicholas over him last year. -
OT Ty Nsekhe (Redskins) to the Bills

He fought his way up the ladder and apparently he has played very well, at left tackle, no less. Gotta love this dude. Watch his arena video. He buries players all the way into the stands. lol -
I hadn't been thinking any WR that early, but he appears to be moving up. I suppose the combine will help shake some of this out. He does fit the profile and the draftniks think he can be great.
-
Agree. If they stay at 9, this will absolutely be a part of the equation. I pretty sure Beane said this in some interview(s) about early picks. If they can't match elite physical talent to the mental make-up they want, a trade down is more likely.

Jim Kelly wants to sit down with Josh Allen...
JimmyNoodles replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fair point, but he was asked a generic open ended question. Why not just give a simple answer like "I think he's the real deal," and leave it at that. Why do you have to insert yourself into the current narrative. You know that there will be follow up questions because he said that. I would like the current Bills to own their story without the former Bills publicly getting involved. Do it privately. I would much prefer that one day when they ask JA, "Who helped you along the way?" that HE names a bunch of folks and adds "and I'd like to thank Jim Kelly." -

I don't think you understood my post. I doesn't mean anything to me one way or the other if Kelly wants to talk to him. Maybe it would be helpful and maybe not. My point is why is this news? Just talk to him. Is it necessary that the public knows about it? -

I don't care if Kelly wants to talk to him, but why is this in the news. Can't the old guard just go about their business quietly. -
I have no problem with reviews if they can be done in a timely manner. There is no ultimate solution because no matter what, a person has to make a decision. They seem to be wrong plenty of times when they review. I think it can be better, not perfect, if refs are full time employees, totally invested in that job, and sink or swim accordingly.
-
No that's a good point. I just think they should be immersed in their job. They should all know the rulebook inside out. They should all watch tape and critique what they do and how they do it. This is partly a mindset. Are you a ref or are you a lawyer who plays a ref on Sundays?
-
They work other jobs the rest of the year. Not sure if they have time to do other things during the season. However, wouldn't it be better if they practiced and studied their craft year round? With the money the NFL has it makes no sense.

124 part time

Officials should be full time. It's crazy that the NFL does not have full time refs. Also, the game needs to be called the same in the regular season as in the playoffs. Refs always let more go in the playoffs. Maybe the regular season should be the same?
