  1. Spiller has potential that Chan learned to extract after a while, Hackett hasn't done that. It would be a waste to waste it but you do have a point, that the team is built different now. But in anycase you get your playmakers plays that playmakers can make. Utilizing the talents of the players on the team is something Chan did (sometimes), I still have hope that the team gets this but I do wonder if my hope is displaced. I am not saying Chan was a really good coach (or even OC, his schemes got figured out and he didn't have the talent to get more out of his guys) but I do think Spiller is not used well, just Chan got more out of him, obviously. BTW year one with Chan doesn't count. Most rookies don't do well, even over drafted 1st rounders. Spiller was no exception. Also, you left out return yards I think...which in at least my opinion should count. There are plays Spiller can make and having at least decent Oline and QB play would verify this, again IMO. Last point, would you like to see Spiller on NE* 2 times a year? I wouldn't. It really has nothing to do with Chan. But you know there are other coaches that would make CJ play up to his potential.
  2. Glad to hear he is feeling better.
  3. Ah death, just what we need more of around here, welcome. BTW the OP is below average and I find it confusing that he stole Joe The Six Packs screen name by putting those underscores in there.
  4. The league really need to make calls, review-able. It has gotten beyond stupid and boring as hell. Our game was longer than a bunch of other ones yesterday just because the refs were so freaking flag happy. Their WRs lined up off sides several times as well and on kick offs for DET. no one was set, every freaking time (I thought the rule was holding still for at least one second or something like that?)
  5. I'd be happy with 4 out of the 7 Cleve NE* and KC being my picks for those losses but anything can happen, which is why I'll be watching. 3 out of the last 4 could very easily be losses too. 9&7 might do the trick but if we are there I would think NE* wins the division and it might be 1 and out in the POs. BTW I like where we are at so far and am a bit more optimistic than I was a couple of days ago.
  6. wine and sun never really a good combination in my experience but what do I know?.
  7. Hmmm Prater? a guy who is drinking too much and one step from a year long suspension? also how long is his suspension right now? is it 4 games if he comes back? On the other hand Probowl player with a 64 yard record and consistency. It will be interesting to see what they do, for sure.
  8. #1 Brown is an "in case we lose Spiller" after his contract player, he is not playing because we need a kick off specialist, which actually has been working out well to my surprise. Boobie has looked good on STs and did have one good run, I would rather have FJ take the load most the time though. I wish that they would figure out how to use Spiller better, I don't think he sucks, I think he is not what they use normally in their offense. I hope but doubt that changes. IMO they have a playmaker who they don't give the opportunities to make plays because they don't think they can or the team (especially the Oline) as built just doesn't fit his skill set. I would like it if they could make plays up that are spreading the field horizontally more and get him out of the middle of the field,(as opposed to the bunching up we do, now so often) you know line up to play to his strengths. We don't need him to get 15 touches a game, Fred yes, as long as he can still do it the way he has. I would think with a better and more experienced QB we should have more plays that work in the run game (is the playbook bigger cause if not it should be). I read somewhere that Hackett said this past week Orton wouldn't have much different plays than EJ did, I would expect that to change. We need better balance between run and pass, that usually helps win games. It still bothers the hell out of me that him and Fred are not on the field together more too. With the talent we have at WR right now and lack there of at TE, we should get our playmakers on the field together as much as possible.
  9. Actually, the second half of the season that Wanny was the DC, the Bills looked much better (which was a surprise when I saw the stats somewhere a couple of years ago I think it was in the top 1/2 of the league and considering the amount of time they spent on the field that year, it did have to be expected). I find it interesting because in some respects what Schwartz did in a couple of games this year (including yesterday) is some what reminiscent of what Wanny wanted to do with the D. It is more about our secondary personnel being better this year IMO. But the D is looking very very good in anycase.
  10. Because Kyle is old? Actually, I kind of like the idea but it would be ultra expensive.
  11. Brown was leading the team in tackles before the game, he is doing well.
  12. Good for him will keep him in my prayers and thoughts.
  13. For those of you keeping score at home: 300 YD Passing: Orton 1 Manuel 0 it is actually the first 300 yard passing game for the bills since Fitzy was QB Orton becomes the first Bills QB to throw for over 300 yards in 28 games. Manuel did have a 296 yard game last year against Carolina last year.
  14. IDK, for some reason I thought Det took the time out there, maybe I am wrong but that was what the announcer said if I remember correctly. They will never do that. very different form of attack. Most plays we are bunched up, not spread. I wish CJ and Fred would both be on the field at the same time, when they have done that it has worked. They have used some misdirection plays with Spiller and Fred but what they are dialing up most of the time is uninspiring to say the least. I get the philosophy behind it but man it is conservative and unimaginative at some of the worst times. The end of the game was the exception to that. All and all, that was a great defensive game by both teams and the Bills got lucky a bit at the end but Orton looked pretty good and we were on the road, I'll take it. BTW, I thought the momentum really changed with FJs speech to the O. The guy is what it means to be a Buffalo Bill, hope he is good to go next week. Check his stats running between tackles, it will surprise you (although I do kind of agree).
  15. I thought you were being funny, I chuckled btw nice write up.
  16. Love that and I like his delivery. Think he's very good.
  17. This ^^ I know some stuff about this: If you don't mind the smell and have patience with a sticky roller (esply on a humid day). I obviously prefer bullseye 123. Skim coating is always the way to go (you only need do one wall if it is just one patch, unless it is a big wall takes little time) I always used to "prime" with True Value's ceiling white it used to have more pigment than any other brand and some primers. I have no idea if this is all still the way the things are in the states though as I haven't lived there in almost 9 years. BTW I used to work in art galleries and museums in Buffalo and NYC, have more experience doing this kind of stuff than I ever wanted to. If you are ever doing a whole wall of skimming. over the years I found it is easier to use a bit of dish soap on the knife blade every 2 or 3 swipes to makes it smoother, less sanding. I also prefer wet sanding with a very light sandpaper.
  18. I use the ignore function sort of as a bet that someone will get banned. Right now I have 23 with 6 banned. I used to be better at it as those 6 were all I had at first. I guess it is just wishful thinking....I also do what Jauronimo does and look anyway, if they live up to it I don't read what ever they say in a thread. I know I'm an idiot but I do know I'm one, so at least I am a self aware idiot. TBCH Tampa Bob said Fred Jackson has played his way off his shite list the other day so I was kind of thinking of uncloaking him.
  19. So she is naked? And has a cancer problem.... hmmm where's Poojer?
  20. HCDM: So Kyle, are you ready to play? Have any questions? KO: Yes and no. HCDM: What do you mean? You are ready and have no questions? KO: Is this a test? HCDM: Obviously, it's not a test, why did you use HGH? KO: Is that like JD? HCDM: No it's not, listen I am banking on you not being a Jason. We need you to step in and take us to the playoffs. Doug and I don't see eye to eye on EJ and your the man, how are you feeling, good to go? KO: You want me to leave? ARE YOU SAYING, YOU WANT TO FIRE ME? Bills chat, as overheard on the field by a certain national reporter at practice yesterday.
