  1. McKelvin scares the heck out of me returning punts.I do think there is a place for him as a back up CB, but at a discounted rate. The thing is there are so many teams where McKelvin could be a starter and thus get 4-5mil.
  2. Brooks has been notified he will not be resigned, Arenas could slide into his role. ST and reserve CB.
  3. That was interesting. Kudos to The FO and Owner for sticking w Rivera and continuity for the Panthers. It paid off. No matter win or lose the Panthers are the envy of 30 other fan bases right now.
  4. Money dictates the game being a 6pm east coast time kick or later. I would love a 4pm east coast kick off on a Sunday. Not sure about the Saturday night idea. The day after the Super Bowl is the number one call out sick to work day.
  5. Before that draft I recall more than a few people calling into question Univ of Texas players.
  6. This thought process might of contributed to the Bills taking Maybin over Orakepo?
  7. Yep, you guys nailed it. I wonder if numbers are actually down for concussions in general? Think about 30 years ago when players where becoming bigger stronger faster yet equipment was trying to catch up. There was very few rules to protect head to head contact.
  8. I think he improves next year somewhat and the Bills make the playoffs finally. It will be more about the D and the run game than Taylor going for 5000 yds and 40 TD's. This will leave the Bills in a bit of a predicament. Taylor will want to be in the $20mil a year club. 5 years $110mil $45mil guaranteed over the first 3 years. And he gets a $15mil signing bonus. Years 4 and 5 will allow the Bills to rework his deal or cut him. Way off base? Still figuring out how the cap hit works etc. In my mind the Bills end up assuring Taylor he gets $60 mil over 3 years between singing bonus and $15mil a year salary. Years 4 and 5 he goes to $25mil a season for salary. Bills can rework the deal, or if Taylor is playing well and the cap has increased this could be the going rate? You capologists help me see the light on how to do this?
  9. Get over it. Brady is not Superman. He can be beat and was. Every team in the AFC east needs to watch that beat down on Sunday.
  10. Got to agree. For ever big hit that may cause a turnover there are blown coverages and poor angles on tackles.
  11. For so many people their opinion is based off where a player is drafted and if someone else said they were good. If Taylor had been drafted in the first or second round and produced like he did this year as a rookie, every Bills fan would be filled with a ton of optimism. The fact that Taylor came by trade and was a late round pick means he has a lower ceiling for some. I honestly have no idea if we have seen Taylor's best ball, i think he has shown he WANTS to learn and improve and showed some modest improvement as the season went along.
  12. peyton- 'you are the better qb, i got the better team'.
  13. He is strong and smart. If he stays healthy he will be fine. Plus having Glenn and Cog back will help. Oline is one unit where continuity matters a lot. And as we have seen one position really can effect the play of another. RT needs to get figured out.
  14. I think the Bills are going to be in the second wave of FA signings. Whaley has said as much. Look for two or three mid tear pick ups. This draft is huge. Whaley has to find three starters in it. Like to see all our Oline FA's listed brought back.
  15. Sure looks like the Denver D is backing it up. The only TD Denver D has given up came after a Manning INT. I love watching Brady pick himself up off the ground so much.
  16. If true, this is why I think Pegula got what he wanted when Marrone quit. By this I mean, Pegula met with Marrone and decided he did not want to give Marrone more personnel power. Pegula most likely offered Marrone to coach the 2015 season. if the team met performance expectations Marrone and Pegula would meet after the season and work out a new deal. Marrone tried to make demands Pegula was not ready to give. Pegula knew Marrone quitting was an option. The silver lining to Pegula was that he saved $4mil. I think Pegula knew the entire time what he was doing and comfortable with both outcomes- Marrone staying on with a 'let's see how you do this year approach' Or Marrone quitting.
  17. Denver isn't afraid of NE. Nor should they be. Brady is due for a beat down. Denver D has all the talent in the world. If they run the D the Bills did in NE, the Broncos win.
  18. Guys, Waffle House is what it is. In the south we don't have the options like you Buffalo folks do at 2 am.
  19. I got turned off by his attitude his first few years in the league with the way he handled the EJ at QB. I am really not sure what Woods is as a WR. He has been ok. Playing with the injury is courageous. I think the Bills need another young WR drafted in the mid rounds.
  20. QB coach/OC? If the Eagles get Schwartz it would appear they are putting a nice staff together. A legit NFL staff.
  21. i think Pats fans know they are not a better team than Denver. The Pats have the better QB, Denver the better team.
  22. Good subject matter. Did the Bills D get worse once the K Gun went for swing?
  23. What happened this year?Chip traded considerable talent away and things fell off? Chip made about 3 moves to many. In the pros when you only have 46 guys dressing on game day you have to make each one count.
  24. Thanks, I watched it once on Christmas morning. It was very emotional for me, as for most of us. Between Christmas and the Four Falls, i reflected on times past with people who are not with me anymore and huge Bills fans. Glad they gave mention to Ted, he was a good coach. He knew how to handle a good QB.
