  1. Today proved Mario still can play when motivated. The game should upset Dolphin fans more than make them happy. Mario is a very selfish player. When he feels like it or has a reason to, he plays hard.
  2. I want to say you are wrong but I just can't. I am racking my brain trying to think of one game TT took over and won because his arm. Please help, anyone?
  3. Pass catching aside the big thing Hunter and the other guys need to continue with is blocking down field on run plays. Woods is a solid WR and an excellent blocker.
  4. It is funny you say that you are warming to letting Gilmore walk. I am actually going just the other way. I had a debate months ago with Bandit about Gilmore and elite status. After watching these first 6 games, I am seeing that Rex's scheme is more plug and play with regards to LB's. It is also very scheme/role reliant. Yes Rex wants great talent everywhere but I bet if you ask him, 'choose between Z Brown and Kyle or Gilmore' Rex goes with Gilmore.
  5. Great job! Posters like you are the reason I started coming to the board years ago. What I take from that list of ' players allowed to walk' is we have to hope the coaching is the reason their was a lot of production. I mean how Mills has shown improvement from last year to this. Alexander having the production he is. Kromer and the Ryan bros played a big role in those players improving. I suspect Rex might tell Whaley to let Z Brown walk and make a few other cuts to bring back Gilmore. I think Rex believes and focus' on the front 7 scheme wise. Rex wants elite talent corners. With that in writing and looking at it Bandit, what moves would you make to keep Gilmore?
  6. Joey Bosa says 'what you talking about'? Shaq has the ability and with the other guys around him, i think Shaq will have a shot. Factor in you know Rex is drawing something up to try and give the kid his shot. i think probability is high for a Shaq sack!
  7. As many of you i read that and got excited, after i stopped trying to understand that first graph, and read the actual article. Then of course i reminded my self of the last couple of seasons the Bills started out hot, only to fall. I then reminded myself of 2004 and the 'we got to beat the Steelers backups' last game. Point is, of course the Bills can fall completely apart. I did notice that when i read over the list of teams, specifically the AFC teams, not one jumped out at me. Of course there are a bunch of teams on there that can beat the Bills. Heck the Bills could lose to Miami this weekend and we all will think the sky is falling. I have a different feeling about the Bills this year. I have this cautious optimism that the team has bought into what Rex is selling. That is about 75% of what it takes to be a winner in the NFL or any sport, heck business. When management and coaches can get their team and staff listening and carrying out the tasks and assignments, things go good usually. Bills have their deficiencies, there is no Tom Brady to rely on to throw the perfect pass after 59 mins of bad play to win the game. No, for the Bills it is going to take every man pulling in the same direction, lifting each other up, or stepping up when one man falls down. This makes me think about the city itself that this team plays for. The city has not had it easy for a long time. While the Bills did have a great QB in Kelly, Kelly had other greats around him. Buffalo has always been a great community that takes pride and rallies around each other. Just like for the Bills it will take a great team to win. I think Whaley has done a pretty darn good job working with Rex to build that team. Now as a fan i will enjoy the ride. Relish in the wins, curse the loss'. I will watch up until the end. I think the Bills could finally be on the verge of something big.
  8. There is not much difference in raw talent in the NFL from the best to the worse. Look at alexander this year for the Bills. It is getting the right guy to fit the right system and be motivated to execute his assignments. As for the injury thing. I think some of you guys are trying to give Philly fans a run for their money on being intolerant. Marcel is a little out there. I think he will come in and show up when we need him.
  9. This is great news. I want to see the big fella stay healthy and work himself into the rotation. The other positive is that Lawson should not experience the rookie drop in play late in the season from the extra games. How many other teams get to add a first round pick after week 6 to an already solid unit?
  10. It rarely works out this way. We have all seen it plenty across all sports. What is perceived as a weak spot pre game does not evolve into one during the game. I hope I am wrong and the passing game gets on track. I am also wondering when will Suh and Mario get on track? I hope that doesn't happen this game. If it does, then it will not matter that a safety is missing much.
  11. If it was said, so what?! If it wasn't said, so what?! We all need to take a breath and stop looking for controversy. Bunch of 'Cause Heads'!
  12. Fun to think about.
  13. Miller is exactly what Whaley thought he could be. Miller needed a year in the league to adjust to the speed. Miller is also healthy. You need to have at least 3 out of your 5 lineman to be good to great. If you have 4, like the Bills do, you can compensate for one being average.
  14. Very Sad indeed! Heart goes out to the family.
  15. I don't like sharing the team I love with people like you.
  16. Depending on how old you are, fish sticks are like today's chicken fingers.
  17. If Monos leaves to be a GM someplace it will mean the Bills have had success. Be happy for him and that. Whaley knows how to find young talent.
  18. Great read. I have watched most of the 49ers vs Cards and some of the 49ers vs Boys game. The only and I mean the only advantage I see the 49ers having is a couple of extra days rest. This coupled with the uncertainty of Collin Kaepernicks play, gives me some concern. IF this is a different Bills team, as your analysis pointed out, the Bills should win.
  19. Fine line for sure. Almost seems as if he tried to go out In practice and pick right up where he left off and he pulled something. Doesn't sound to different from us old fat guys trying to hit the gym after 10 years! Ha
  20. Get on them early and put them away. I would like a pay back for that game a four years ago in SF where they whipped the Bills. 45-10
  21. I understand what you are saying. I do think if the doctors and training staff and the player think the foot is ready, then it is good enough for me. Sammy is a great talent who has yet to reach his full potential. There are many variables to why Sammy has not. I will say if you dislike Sammy for where he was drafted or what was given for the move, that's not on Sammy. Hope he gets healed up and is back for the playoff push, with the Bills sitting at 8-2!
