Bills at Browns Post Game Post Mortem
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I got to disagree with this. Plus, what is ‘playing QB’ mean? I think Josh knows when people don’t believe in him. He has experienced that a lot in college and then the draft. Now his coach won’t let him win a game. Shame on McDermott for today’s loss. It really does fall on him and not just because he is the HC but because he won’t trust his QB. HC have to at some point show they believe in their QB to win them the game. McDermott’s fears are costing him and us. -
Singletary finishes with EIGHT rushing attempts

Daboll is a great play caller, everything is fine. What a joke. Daboll it appears has the same mindset of some people here, don’t call plays that work often, use them sparingly to surprise teams. Singletary is a beast, he should get 20 -25 touches a game with running or receiving. -
It’s either going to click, or it isn’t.

If part of the growth process if our HC growing into a mindset of playing to win, then I agree. The HC has to trust his QB to win him games. McDermott also needs to cut bait with under performing ‘process’ guys, going to be tough with some of their contracts. -
Best coach in 20 years is saying nothing. Daboll is not doing very well. Singletary got 8 carries today for 48 yards. 6.0 ypc. If Daboll was some great coach he wouldn’t still be a coordinator. Daboll outsmarts himself and thinks it’s all scheme. Putting the right players in the right position is just as important as the play being called. Today Beasley was used better but still not great. Beasley on the 3-2 going on a deep pattern was a waste. Use Beasley on a crossing patter for the first down there. The problem is the offense.

Around the League Week 10

I would go to this game in the 80’s when usually both teams stunk or one team was trying to get into the playoffs. The team with the most to lose would typically lose. And then fights would ensue in the stands. -
Is Wallace the best option for CB2?
atlbillsfan1975 replied to UConn James's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Teams that have either two quality receivers or a QB who can go through progressions is going to pick on Wallace. He isn’t good, and when the Bills don’t get pressure, he is really bad. -
Around the League Week 10

This is one of the true rivalries in pro football. For me this says more about the fact that the team quit on Quinn. The Falcon players wanted to win this one and they did. Let’s see how the Falcons do next week. -
No way. Your franchise QB who leads the league in fourth quarter winning drives is moving his team. Why not let him keep moving and kick an easier field goal. McDermott needs to learn to trust young guys. In particular his young QB. Starting to think McDermott might be the wrong coach for Josh. Sad, but Beane will be put in an awkward situation after 2020 if things don’t improve.

‘Process guys’ hurt the Bills today

How many times does Lee Smith get to hurt this team? -
Josh Allen - week TEN report card

Right now Allen’s biggest problem is the play calling and his coaches not having faith in him to win the game. -

He is going to force Beane to fire him if he doesn’t figure it out. I’m not saying I want McDermott to be fired, but for crying out loud he has to stop coaching scared. -

i can’t believe McDermott got out coached by Freddie Kitchen. Just pathetic. McDermott is a great motivator and culture coach. McDermott leaves a lot to be desired on game day. -
Daboll is an excellent play caller

Moving down the field and then throttle back to play for a 50+ yard field goal to go to OT. Who made this decision?! -
Don’t blame Hauschka, he showed you he couldn’t hit the field goal earlier. McDermott, is to blame. What is Hauschka suppose to say ‘sorry coach I can’t hit that’?

Playing for a 53 yard field goal. Mind blowing. Moving the ball down the field and then throttle back to play for a low percentage field goal. McDermott needs to figure out how to coach to win. Stop playing so scared. In one regard he will let his FG kicker get another chance but won’t let his franchise QB win a game. -
Bills at Browns Pre-Game thread

I haven’t seen anything that leads me to believe Kitchens is some dynamic schemer. Hope I feel that way around 5 pm today too. -

All week I have been nervous about this game like I was for Philly. This morning I’m waking up excited. Feel like I did going into the Jets game and Pats game. Bills win this one if Josh finishes the game! -
Tre White Most Important Player vs. Browns
atlbillsfan1975 replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel like Tre rarely has had a bad game this year. For defense my most important player is Hughes. Time for him to step up against maybe the worst tackles in football and make Baker feel the heat. on offense I go with Dawkins. If Dawkins can handle Garrett mostly one on one with a little help from the TE from time to time, Alle should have time to pick apart the TE’s with Beasley and some underneath stuff. -
Money is part of the problem. When you consider that the top 3 most expensive players on the defense are on the line, it’s an added layer of frustration. There also seems to be caveats, like he is our best interior lineman. First that’s not saying much. Second, Well I hope so, he gets paid 3 times more than the next highest interior lineman. I guess we could argue this forever. What I see on many plays is a guy getting blown off the ball too quickly. Yes he is supposed to eat blockers, but a little more resistance would be helpful so other players can play their gaps.

I am expecting Lee to get a bunch against Cleveland as a blocker to help with Myles Garrett. Love to see Knox get a few too and then release out for catches.

Olivier Vernon OUT for Sunday
atlbillsfan1975 replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kinda my feeling too. The big difference for me is the HC. Pederson is a heck of an offensive mind verses Kitchens has yet to put it together consistently.
