The only economics education I have had is a half of senior year in HS, what my parents (neither a HS grad) instilled in me, and living 68 years, But I do know that the adage above is much better than the garbage you (Rowdy) are spewing.

This is definitely not the line of attack to use. Both sides try it when out of power and both sides soon realize nobody cares. I don't think it has anything to do with poor huddled masses. Plenty of MAGA are poor. It's more to do with providing anything at all to illegals while many traditional Americans (white male) are not doing the best. The former blue collar has largely become the former lower class and the former lower class is just off the grid completely. The immigrants and minority programs have largely turned into things for the former blue collar to point a finger at and say, but what about me! THAT's the reason it's this way! The government safety net can't/won't provide for both groups. So while simultaneously lining the wealthiest of the wealthy like usual, they're trying to limit the lower / lower class group as much as possible thru program elimination or deportation. Hoping that maybe more will be left over of them. But it will never actually be that way. The less fortunate will just keep getting less and the rich will just keep getting richer.

I don’t know why there seems to be an urge to be on one side or the other. How about….we sit in the middle until we know more? How is that for a novel approach? I’ve never met either of these people. People complain about thr big, rich, greedy corporations and the lack of jobs for Americans. Some of these big, rich, greedy corporations are paying illegal immigrants well below minimum wage, taking away job opportunities from Americans. Make it make sense.
