  1. Past hour
  2. Several have already alluded to this, but I think you need to start with who is considered a franchise quarterback. To me, I think that the team has defined someone as their franchise QB by signing him to a non-rookie contract of at least three years. Not sure that three is the correct number of years, but I think it's close. Two years isn't really a commitment to saying that they are your franchise QB. Maybe you could say three also is too short but it sounds correct to me. If a team signs a QB for three years, they likely enough guaranteed money that it's very painful to move on from him. Or, perhaps instead of number of years, it's a dollar amount or percent of the cap at signing? Once there's a definition of who can be considered, then it's an easier conversation as to who belongs in the "worst 5" category.
  3. This story legit vanished. Wow. He’s definitely “offing himself” in jail. Walz absolutely activated this guy.
  4. I was at the last Bandits final. I didn't bother to look. I was busy celebrating. That Athletics article never actually cited any instance of Terry doing something that hurt the team. It was basically: a) he's around the team a lot. b) unnamed sources say that isn't good. c) "hamster wheel."
  5. Until he gets a Ring, he shouldn’t be included in this list. In fact, he can’t even get to a Super Bowl with arguably the best QB in the league.
  6. John Stewart ladies and gentlemen who goes by Homeloser here. It’s “gotcha” time to belittle a great American victory.
  7. Oh weird, I thought it was “COMPLETELY OBLITERATED!” What happened to all that chest-thumping confidence?
  8. What part was he lying about? There is no evidence that uranium was removed.
  9. I would rank him around 31. After the 13 seconds incident that where he belongs
  10. Having a HOF caliber QB guarantees nothing. Dan Marino never won a Super Bowl despite playing for 17 seasons under 2 HOF coaches, Don Shula and Jimmie Johnson, both of whom won Lombardis with other QBs. In his 10 playoff seasons, Marino only played in one SB (after the 1984 season). He lost in the AFC Conference Championship twice, the last loss (1992 season) to the Bills. He also lost twice more in the playoffs to the Bills before his retirement. Obviously, the author of that op-ed piece could only find 4 NFL HCs on the proverbial "hot seat", so he scoured fan sites and discovered TSW's McDermott haters. Sammy Sunshine strikes again.
  11. Right, that's probably the only time communism could work is a small community of people sharing everything. If there was an apocalyptic event and a town survived and the doctor was just as important as the farmer and they shared everything that could theoretically work assuming the biggest guy in town didn't start hoarding the food and killing anyone who questioned him, which is how communism always goes. So the argument that there was not enough people for it to work is silly. The problem is usually there's too many people not doing their fair share and trying to scam the system while other people have to work harder to pick up the slack.
  12. Pretty silly statement. How do you rank and measure the sensitivity of NFL GMs? Beane is a top GM in the league and does a great job. He has built one of the best rosters in the NFL, as well as a talented staff. He is normally pretty buttoned up and has only rarely let his guard down and gotten testy with the media. He's a good professional.
  13. This regime is deliberately lying, and no one on their team knows how to handle it - so they just keep shifting the goalposts.
  14. He was arguably a top 5 QB last year. 2 years ago he was almost out of the league. like I said, opinion noted lol.
  15. It was the second thing.
  16. You know what they say about people who overcompensate and get absurdly defensive - deep down, they know they’re full of it and way in over their heads.
  17. Is it really an opinion though? I mean the facts are pretty clear. Bakers QB rankings in the NFL last year were: 3rd in yards 2nd in TDs 7th in avg yards per pass 4th in QBR 3rd in comp % I think its more than just an opinion that he should not be in consideration for the last of the franchise guys. He was arguably a top 5 QB in the NFL last year. Like I said, there are guys who you listed worthy of consideration and open for debate for the dubious "last of the franchise guys"...but Baker right now is not one of them.
  18. Does he have a team fanbase willing to GoFund him or did he burn those bridges everywhere he has gone?
