If it is for ST then I trust Tabor's judgement as he one of the best ST in the league, now the question is who gets sacrificed for the signing?
-
Once we start hitting the cartels... You will understand why they are going to be deployed throughout many cities... The current scenario with the damage the cartels are doing to America is completely untenable... The push back begins now... Mexico and Venezuela are prime targets... Their cartel members here in our cities will react with violence... Given the military ordinance they have cached within the continental US, along with the logistical support they continue to get from China... This dust up will be one for the history books...

Poyer will start the second half of the second game after Hamlin and Bishop run into each other and put themselves in concussion protocol. You heard it here first.
-
they already have like 3 guys dedicated to coaching the secondary. He is here to play.
-
Hyde was still over coming injury that was probably career ending. I’ll take what Poyer currently is on the field over Hamlin. Hamlin never had juice, Poyer just doesnt have the same juice.

Tank for Downs
-
The chance (however small or large) that he develops as a player is worth more to us than anything another team would give us for him now.
-
Well they already had a Hancock so they added a Franklin. They all hang together, you know. (he is a special teamer who plays safety)
-
and if an active roster signing who gets cut?
-
.
-
I agree, but why not just put him on the coaching staff then?
-
This! And more than anything this is a condemnation on the FO work on addressing the secondary the last 6 months. I am no film guru like some, but I cannot think of another S on the market, that keeps us under the cap, and can be ready in 10 days if something goes wrong. It is a fine signing that had to be made because of mistakes made 150 days ago. It is very strange that we have at some point this FO has done good job of identifying guys like Poyer, Hyde, Jordan Philips. Guys who can fill important roles in this defense that are under the radar. But then struggle with it going forward ever since. The inability to replace Poyer/Hyde with a complete pairing has really put our entire secondary on the backs of Taron Johnson and now Christian Benford.
-
Definitely. Even though they are just bringing him in for the practice squad why did they wait to make this move until after training camp/preseason is over? I really think they are more behind at the safety position than they were anticipating this year. Hoping for the best but makes me nervous this season we see more of the same issues as last year

With the secondary the way it is I think we all know what the Bills will be doing with their 1st Rd pick in the 2026 draft.

Retatta Tempo Ford Taurus Ralph is cheap ex-Panther signings George Siefert at the airport These are Wall of Fame bits that will never die. Fight me.
-
It's really not that different than the players that transition into coaching.
-
This is exactly what this is to me... Poyer looked cooked... but then again, Hamlin and Bishop combined for some really burnt toast ... this is insurance... and could it be that his ceiling is literally no worse than Hamlin right now?
-
Hyde essentially only did it for the playoff run.
-
The fact that it is legitimate to wonder if this is a real or ceremonial retirement contract says something…
-
Sounds like he will be a player coach. Maybe he could play in a “break glass in case of emergency” sense.
-
One day contract to retire as a Bill I hope. Maybe Coleman will cheap shot him.
-
Just wondering if you can name a former All-Pro veteran who signed a contract at the end of his career with the intention to be on the practice squad all season.

I guess this means more Rachel Bush tweets!
