Keon drops 60 in Damar's celebrity basktball gam
RoyBatty is alive replied to stevewin's topic in The Stadium Wall
True BUT the poster has a legit point, doing windmill dunks so high in the air is taking it too far imo, he very easily could have hurt an ankle, comparing it to Josh Allen playing softball is an absurd reach. If I was McDermott i would not be very happy. -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
HappyDays replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
No the expectations are right where they should be. He was taken in a WR heavy draft which means the talent was pushed down the board, and we had our pick of 7 different WRs before we traded down. So if Beane and the scouting staff did their jobs properly then Coleman should be expected to develop into at least a solid WR2. That means he needs to be a regular contributor and get a minimum of around 800 yards. Now if he doesn't hit that in year two does that mean he's a bust? Of course not. But this year you want to see meaningful progress leading in that direction if nothing else. -

Seriously. Move the "I'm a better human" vs. "I'm a better capitalist" to another board. -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
Don Otreply replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fans are very likely to over and or under estimate what players will do, especially, fans mistakenly assume that when a player is cleared to play after injury they Are at 100% performance level, when in fact they aren’t close to that level of output, an example is what we all know, it takes a full season post being cleared to play for an ACL injury to be ready to go full tilt, yet we all hear the incessant blathering that the player’s career is over, washed, bust etc etc , fans are freaking nuts on a good day, lol 😁🍸🚬 -

Keon looks like a bigger Stevie Johnson to me. I'm hopeful he can be as good as he was -
I have watched pretty much every game since 1988 so I think I have a good grasp on that period and I would rank those I have seen: 1) Bruce Smith 2} Thurman Thomas 3) Josh Allen( yes already) 4/5) Moulds and Reed 6) Kelly After them no one is a sure thing to me, and I don't like discussing people I never watched because I am working off legend not fact.

He could hurt his back on a swing, could tear an ACL playing his Hydes annual softball game rounding a base or chasing a ball, etc. I mean, its not like these guys are in bubble wrap in the offseason. Allen also plays basketball in the offseason too by the way. Players across the NFL do this kind of stuff all the time, not sure why its an issue for some when Keon does it in a teammates charity game. -
Its hard to put Josh ahead of our legendary QB... right... but in the end... Josh does things that Kelly could never do... his ability to run... throw off of a scramble ... avoid drive ending sacks... Jimbo never had... Jimbo presence made people a little bit better... Josh, simply makes those around him so much better than I think they would be elsewhere... So I agree Josh is a generational talent..

You do realize the video in that post is a live town hall by the No Kings organizers themselves, right?

1994 - Kelly & Reed vs Favre & Sharpe - NFL Throwback
corta765 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is because in general football fans who only know the NFL 2005 on do not understand how much the game has changed and how protected the QB is now just by the rules alone. Between the protection of QB and the rules that limited what a defender can do against a WR on a hit the game favors big QB play over anything. Back before this it was way more common for average QBs to win SBs because the team itself mattered far far more and the stats by QBs looked far more pedestrian compared to now. That obviously wasn't the case and the eye test will show you how guys like Elway Kelly Farve were warriors between the hits and play they took. It is why you cannot compare era to era because the playing field changes every ten years and the game evolves. -
Being honest the cherry picking of stats of Josh vs anyone just reinforces to me how special he is, the number of stats he is the only guy in NFL history to pull off is absurd.

AS IF MAGA cares if there is a chasm. Liberals don't care either Stalemate SMH so many links man. These again are totally tribal and slanted to MAGA DUH see I can't really trust anything you post now. You are way too tribal in your views. *sigh* you can justify your tribal views all you want. You've lost credibility , sad. Now I can go leave you all again until the NEXT debacle
-
Grass roots! Organic! Yes, people are definitely convinced to flee the MAGA ship. It turns out that it takes a full ten years of branding them as racist Nazis and people eventually come around! 😂
-
I disagree again. You cannot state this with certainty. I think the chasm widens with MAGA jumping ship I'm not raging. I'm telling the truth which MAGA tribalists hate. BINGO Im actually calm because otherwise hurts My health. period. so that's that

I'm not disagreeing to me Allen a better than Kelly ever was. As Kelly had one great year in 1991 when he lead the league in TDs with 33 but after that he had a few seasons with 20 or a few in the teens. I've always felt Kelly was above average but never elite due to his seemingly playing his worst in the Super Bowl. Toss in he had some sugar high Josh moments when he threw interceptions that had no business being thrown. Thurman was better than Kelly IMO.

“Unfortunately, Mr. Mamdani is running on an agenda uniquely unsuited to the city’s challenges. He is a democratic socialist who too often ignores the unavoidable trade-offs of governance. He favors rent freezes that could restrict housing supply and make it harder for younger New Yorkers and new arrivals to afford housing. He wants the government to operate grocery stores, as if customer service and retail sales were strengths of the public sector. He minimizes the importance of policing." "Most worrisome, he shows little concern about the disorder of the past decade, even though its costs have fallen hardest on the city’s working-class and poor residents. Mr. Mamdani, who has called Mr. de Blasio the best New York mayor of his lifetime, offers an agenda that remains alluring among elite progressives but has proved damaging to city life." "Mr. Mamdani would also bring less relevant experience than perhaps any mayor in New York history. He has never run a government department or private organization of any size. As a state legislator, he has struggled to execute his own agenda." "...We do not believe that Mr. Mamdani deserves a spot on New Yorkers’ ballots."

I said they were well attended. Because they were. If that's your sole metric for a success, ok then. I didn't say they were paid off to go against their beliefs and rage about Trump. I said many were paid to be there, because indeed many were. The Army birthday celebration was also successful in what it set out to do. Celebrate the men and women of the army and foster patriotism. Neither one did anything to change a damn thing about the political chasm in this country. But rage on!
