Tua gets the bag - $53M a year
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to hellofellowbillsfans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The lack of draft investment in the offensive line is this killing their offense. 2 2nd's over the last 2 years and then you plug them in as starters on the left side. There isn't even consistency in veterans. It's patchwork at best. They're a bit banged up so its hard to fully judge - but the backups being all free agents, with 3 free agent starters currently. Then you have ifedi and daniels who are free agents on IR. The only guys they've drafted and developed are jackson and eichenberg (whos basically a 6th OL). 2 years ago the dolphins led the league in yards, and were 2nd in scoring. The key there? Healthy tua for 17 games, and mostert and achane both had almost 1000 yards. They also had robert hunt at guard, and armstead at LT for at least portions of the year. -

I'm so done being humble. We're the best team in the AFC, we have a soft schedule, the Division will be locked up in record time, we have the best QB on the planet. If we don't end the season as #1 we underachieved. I've been a humble Bills fan for decades, this is not the year to be humble. Don't be a dick, but do be proud, loud, and for god sakes let loose and enjoy this. -
Tua has Waddle, Hill and Achane at his disposal...........28 other teams would kill for that support around their QB. I don't blame the supporting cast, i blame the QB who can't improvise on the fly and get his playmakers the ball and I blame the QB who chokes in critical situations.

Forcing the long game is the modern NFL. Allen has shown the ability to take it. Teams that get over aggressive Allen carves up. Jets and Miami are man to man teams who played zone to limit Allen from killing them. I have no doubt the first team that goes the other way will regret it.

exactly. the OLine. most important part of the team for the QB. its been atrocious for the majority of Tuas career pass pro wise.

how much more can the Dolphins give him but a better O-line? At the skill positions he has two top end WRs and a top end starting RB, the rookie they have looks promising too. Granted Waller's been hurt but still. -

Age old, do they sit the player who is recovering but could use a week to get to 100%.... back and forth... essentially, I think McDs philosophy wins out... when the player is ready to come back and play at full speed he comes back.... this takes the guess work out of it and is overall the best philosophy... especially early in the season... come playoffs or playoff crunch time... I have seen him move not fully healed guys into the rotation especially if we are really thin... I get that... I just dont think game 4 is the spot he abandons that philosophy... i think if Milano and EdO are ready to play and healed to a point where they are not risking additional injury to their particular ailment then they play... if not they sit... I think he focuses on the player not the game at this juncture. -
Mitch’s greatest interview on McAfeee
-
That's the benefit of having retired.
-
Realistically nobody knows how he would look like if he sat in my opinion it cannot hurt a quarterback, especially a talented one... Six games or one year or two years.. can only help a pro adjust Go. Bills
-
i appreciate Mitch. came in at a time when his leadership was sorely needed. wish he could have played longer.

Tua is the ultimate "system" QB. i dont knock him for anything else. when the "system" isnt working, there isnt much off script he can do. to be truly elite, a true game changer, you have to be able to do it all. Tua simply cant. his fault? nah. Fins fault for giving him the bag? not really, hes a top 15 QB, hard to find those. Tua simply needs more around him to succeed than top 5 QBs and if the team cant provide that, struggle ensues. happens.

Small transistor radios only purpose are to play sound publicly. Cell phones and tablets have 10000000000 uses that don't necessarily interfere with the people around you. Transistor radios do not. You could likely get away with those AM/FM headphones. They used to be way more common in stadium. I am way less concerned with the PbP than I am with replays. I keep my FUBO app playing the game when I go in, so if anything is close I can just pull it out of my pocket and the broadcast is already showing me. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=am%2Ffm+headphones&hvadid=174212295266&hvdev=c&hvexpln=0&hvlocphy=9007315&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=4485767461479763924--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=4485767461479763924&hvtargid=kwd-37530186&hydadcr=24659_9648993&mcid=d3099a1056bc34a8b3632cc5d7b77bf6&tag=googhydr-20&ref=pd_sl_4o39kpgzg1_e

I mean, Bill had to go deeper, consistently. Literally, ALL of the positive stats on our playoff defense are from the Wild Card round facing the likes of Skyler Thompson, Mason Rudolph, etc. Our PPG is fairly horrific outside of the wild card round. We, like Bill, also have the best quarterback. Unlike Bill, it just doesn't matter.
