Am I missing something? I fully understand the Bills weaknesses, I get that they are starting two backup tackles. The Steelers however are not a great team, Rogers is a not what he once was, he’s playing with a broken wrist. Do they have much of a running game, isn’t their OL, particularly its depth suspect? On defense they have a great pass rush, but it’s their secondary bad?

If the NFL could, they would schedule games 7 days a week 365 days a year.

I believe they can still IR the complete bust Landon Jackson to make room for Grable on the 53. This was speculated before Jackson went down perhaps suspiciously.

What they should try to do is schedule byes around the Thursday games. No playing on 4 days rest. Only teams coming off a bye play Thursdays. As much as possible, of course. Can't have that in week 2 obviously. And they'd never do it, but it would be great to go back to 16 games. For someone who's a bit ocd when it comes to numbers, 16 is perfect.

God I so agree with this. They had 24 draft picks in just 23 and 24. If you go to the link, and look under the G column for games, these picks have played a lot of games. I will say if we can pull this off it will be a good solid win. In Pittsburgh with both our tackles out. Pittsburgh isn't a terrible team. They beat the colts and have taken some good teams to the wire.

Go to 18 games but give every team 3 weeks off. The NFL should shut the league down after the 5th, 10th and 15th games. All teams are off at the same time in a 21 week schedule.

They should go to 18 games with two byes and give us football all thru the sporting wasteland of February. Otherwise it's fine, IMO. The whining about it is usually from fans whose teams are injury prone. The schedule wasn't an issue when this roster was young and not missing games and Thursday night wasn't a problem when McD was undefeated on Thursday nights etc..

Agreed. A second bye week should be added. Or a team should not play a Sunday and Thursday game in the same week.

One of the ways the Rams did this to draft LOTS of players, instead of pissing away day 2 and 3 picks on lousy trades up…also helps the salary cap.

When they inevitably add the 18th game, I hope they do it with the addition of a 2nd bye week and ensure that teams always have a bye before their TNF game. That will more than make up for the extra game and I hope the NFLPA refuses any other compromise.
