I actually took the 20 minutes to watch that and it is pretty insane. Josh is still the MVP.
-
Did you mean to include Bobby Hebert?

Joe Marino on with Jeremy and Nate this morning. Making a nice case for how different the Bills team is now. I forgot that Mathis, Logue and Jackson played a bunch on the Defensive line that week plus the hobbled rapp running around.

You’re speaking out of both sides of your mouth, you say they are tied in EPA per play and then says overall Maye is ahead, how does that make sense? -

So wait, a sideways look at a particular topic and the mods have merged three threads in 5 minutes. But the actual GameDay thread full of pats wankers, one in particular, and crickets..!?! Just ban this dipstick already, it's boring and ruining the thread. Unless typing things into chatgpt and pasting the results here now counts as a contribution? -
Ketanji Brown Jackson: Embarrassment
MattM replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
What stain of DEI? She got roughly the same grades as Gorsuch with almost twice the workload. She was also (literally) a national champion debater in high school. I thought you guys were all about demonstrated objective merit? Or is that only a one-way street? As noted, he was not an academic superstar (relative to HLS), not even graduating towards the top of the class, but you for some reason only focus on those things for her. Why is that? For the record, I was actually friendly with the guy (he was fun to grab a drink with and shoot the *****) despite our political differences, so bear him no personal ill will despite my disappointment with his decisions and his crossing his fingers behind his back during his confirmation hearings. I just find it hysterical how you folks are so willfully blind on this issue. -
Our run defense is shored up the last few games. If we keep that up we can beat anyone.

I see thousands of TV's turned off early and then... Well you know... " I knew the Bills would win, had to shovel the driveway "

Not entirely true. I played around on the cap for next year and easily found about $50M. And that's not pulling every lever I could. Now, a chunk of that may go to sign our own and we do have other holes to fill, but there will be money, especially if contracts are stacked wisely. The real issue at WR next year is aside from Pickens, who the Cowboys are rumored to be happy to tag, well the pickens at WR are slim. Not much there and a lot of teams that will be looking for WRs in the off-season. Means the mediocre WRs that are out there are likely to get paid well. Davis being back next year wouldn't shock me. They probably would have kept him if Jacksonville didn't offer him a ludicrous deal. In order to upgrade the WR room, Beane is going to have to be creative....and if trading he is probably going to have to overpay. I don't see any way they can justify not spending high draft capitol on WR next year. And with the type of WR they have looked at and/or brought in (Waddle, Hardman, Cooks) they understand we lack speed. That's what I expect them to draft. Speed at outside WR.

And there's this highlight on her resume. -
this will be interesting for sure. One major problem was the commitment to Curtis Samuel. I had a look at our WR salaries on Spotrac, and we can finally cut ties with him after this season. Palmer is also a commitment, so I hope he pans out the next two years. given how tight this team’s cap is, there’s simply no room for error on signings with considerable guaranteed money.

the 2026 discussion is interesting... You would assume Davis and Cooks are gone. Healthy Palmer (fingers crossed, but can we count on that from a planning perspective?), Shakir, Shavers, Coleman (he isn't going to get cut if I'm betting, just doesn't make financial sense) and a rookie or 2? Is THAT good enough? I guess it depends on who the rookie(s) is and their impact. We aren't going to be spending in FA because we don't have the money. Swing a trade for a disgruntled Justin Jefferson? I don't know.

Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*

Again, the receiving group for the Patriots is not even in the same realm of talent as the receiving group for the Bengals. I would hope even the most die hard Patriot fans could at least remove the rose colored glasses for something obvious like this. I don't mean any disrespect either. I would hope you would agree both QB's have done more with less this year. Neither plays with a top 10 or even a top 20 group of pass catchers... The game this weekend is going to be a challenge for both teams but I'm optimistic Buffalo comes out on top this time. Benford is playing much better now than he was back in week 5. Hairston didn't even play week 5 and is back now and fully healthy. The abomination at safety that was Taylor Rapp is no longer on the field and MLB Bernard, who looked lost that game and most of this season, has been replaced by Shaq Thompson who has raised the level of defensive play across the board. Also, without your best run stuffer on the D. Line, Cook should have a lot more opportunities for big gains up the middle. There is a reason why Bills fans are confident (not cocky) going into this game and these are just a few. Go Bills!! Hoping for a good, competitive game. No new injuries for either team. And the refs to not decide this game either way. Good luck Sunday. Go Bills!! -

I’d argue that democrats lost their collective voice pre-2020, except of course to rationalize that Biden wasn’t in decline when as you say, he was, that slippage was completely acceptable, and the creation of new, novel ways to target political enemies made perfect sense. That brought you to 2024, by which time Dems had long been bamboozled. I agree though, that 3 years can change everything, especially in older Americans.

So many posters talking about the Bills “wasting” Josh Allen’s best years. But you could say that about Burrow, Jackson and Hebert (am I missing anyone?) as well. KC and Mahones have blocked a pretty impressive group of QB’s from getting to the big game (other than the one appearance by Burrow).
