Christian Gonzales made 2 great plays to have us settle for a FG on that last drive. Was going to be tough if we didn’t punch it in for 6 there. Think if Josh feathers that EZ throw to Keon further outside he has a better chance. -

Actually thought Rousseau had a pretty decent game. Nothing spectacular but certainly a building block for the rest of the year if the last 4 games of his are anything to go by. Tre looks like a rotational guy in his career. Can’t have him out there every snap of every game for the defense, so that is something to focus on. Patriots played that game perfectly last night. Absolutely abused that cover 2 and 4 shells. Maye made some great throws behind and underneath the coverage last night. -
Looking ahead to the Falcons…All of a sudden a must win

No idea how that team will do. They lost to the Raiders and Steelers… They will probably drop another game. We assumed we’d roll past the Saints handily and beat the Pats last night. Teams will lose games. That’s the beauty of the league. -
For all you McDermott haters, who would you want?

Man can’t lose one game 😂 -
And here was me thinking it was McDermott, Tre White, Keon Coleman, the defense and the offense outside Josh/Kincaid. At least going by the PGT.

Yeah, I got what you're saying. And again, there simply isn't a lot of reason to think so other than wanting to believe it. Again, Mahomes himself said he improved a ton. And got specific about what he learned. Well, college just isn't even close to enough evidence to say he would have been fine without that extra year. He was raw. Certainly talented also, a wildly talented arm. But very raw. His mechanics were inconsistent, and yes, that did include his footwork. His decision-making also was inconsistent. That was sort of the magic word for Mahomes, inconsistent. But not after that year of QB camp with Reid and Alex Smith. He learned a ton from Smith and Reid that year, it went very far beyond mechanics into understanding of game management and the willingness to stop constantly looking for the long ball and run the offense. So you're wrong about his footwork. He'd already changed it before his pro day. Just listen to the Mayock link I put at the bottom of this post. And no, they did a whole ton more than changing delivery his first year. He got an absolute ton of mental work, work in reading defenses work in learning the playbook that freshman year. Reid had him 10 yards behind Alex Smith doing mental reps every single one of Smith's training camp 11 on 11s. "He's got a great arm, big balls and he's mobile. He is going to drive his head coach crazy for the first couple of years and there is no getting around that. If it clicks for him and he's coachable, I think he could become a special quarterback." - NFC executive https://www.nfl.com/prospects/patrick-mahomes/32004d41-4840-1939-e4c1-bb89191b4e71 Again, it's very very clear that he'd changed his footwork and mechanics after college. Just listen to this from Mayock at his pro day: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX22m9txxUM No particular reason to think we can be sure he'd have been fine without that year, not beyond wanting to believe it.

Maye clutched a completion to Diggs out of the jaws of a sack and Josh threw a bad interception. That is what lost us the game I’d say. -

The only time the Bills offense looks good is when they're behind and trying to catch up and Josh Allen is allowed to do his thing. Also, give credit where credit is due. The Patriots are an improving team, and Drake Maye looks like a franchise QB. -

That's my point, there will be games like this again, especially against better teams. We may have an easier schedule this year, but KC and Philly will boatrace this defense. I don't think as good as Josh is that he can overcome that, this everybody eats offense isn't very effective. Brady has tried to be cute too many times when the score is too close. And also, you gotta remember, 30+ points we've scored have been against below average defenses. Lacking a true number 1 receiver will keep hurting us as the year goes on and as of now, we lack that -

I have a lot of negative thoughts but one positive one. Dalton Kincaid is awesome and the Bills seem to be finally using him right. -
You don't. More, the defense is 17th in points allowed and at least before week 5 they were 9th in yards allowed. Using "can't stop a nosebleed" to refer to a team that is 9th ... well, it's just ridiculous. But even if it wasn't so silly ... no, you just don't, not with a team that was 4 - 0 when you wrote this. And the three offensive turnovers were the reason we lost even though the defense didn't play great either.

I shouldn't post when overly tired and emotional. Saying that, I'm still doing the tired bit. I've had under three hours sleep, but the emotions have settled somewhat. I also realise I have these emotional reactions after every loss then have to grovel so it's going to seem quite shallow right now. But I do want to apologise for the post immediately after the game. Maybe some of it was based on my truth (I do wish Josh would cut down on the commercials!) but the phrasing could have been better. And he definitely deserved the opportunity to make a jibe post Ravens. But it is a shame it didn't work out last night. I will maintain, for me, the offense was the main issue. That's not to say the defense and ST were blameless - nothing of the sort - but there were too many errors over the game to get over the line. The All-22 will be interesting to see, as a cold rational look rather than emotive, how the last proper drive planned out. Was there a lack of open receivers? Were potential successful plays missed underneath? My main concern is this defeat was coming. It's not as if the Bills have looked like a smooth operation coming into today. We've relied on big plays and moments to defeat poor teams. Today an average team came in and turned us over. The one is not as secure as it was 24 hours ago, and neither is the division. The shadow of the Chiefs is growing and the Patriots are in with more than a sniff. The AFC seems flawed his year, no team is anywhere near perfect. I think the two most complete teams are in the NFC (though, as said, I think the Chiefs might be starting to click). We need to take advantage of the good position this puts us in, and yesterday was a failure in that regard. - Today

Doesn't matter whether it's a must win or not. They won't lose. No mystery here. Just a weak ass NFC South team -

Update: Dorian Strong to IR
BillsFanForever19 replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, the plan was always for him to be at most a bridge to Hairston - if not a backup to Hairston straight out of Camp. The injury to Hairston forced us to rely on him, which is *nowhere* you want to be. They'd have been playing more of Dorian Strong tonight with how poorly White was playing. But now we don't even have him either. That's the toughest part about this. White is toast. But our only other options right now are to play Ja'Marcus Ingram or Dane Jackson. Which probably wouldn't be much worse, but wouldn't be any better either. Tonight was exactly why I was saying the idea from another poster that we IR'ed him to make room for players coming and that it was "nothing to see" was ridiculous. We really could have used him tonight and I can't believe they'd purposely put us in a situation where we would have no choice but to stick with White. -
