  1. Past hour
  2. Ah, you’re very lucky that your kids lack of sports commitments coincided with the Patriots return to the top of the division.
  3. Thanks for posting! That was worth a watch. Not very different from my own view of the game, but to hear an ex-NFL-er talk about the Texans' disrespect and disregard for our receivers was sobering.
  4. It would be great to get his arm chop back It's been a dion staple for years... I think he slightly started going away from it because they called him on penalties like 2-3 doing it last year NFL referees also have biases.. and when you see a 280 lb end on the ground.. sometimes a referees instinct is that it has to be because a lineman grabbed them to the ground Not realizing that Dion Dawkins has world class technique and leverage ability the advanced metrics have not updated from these last string of games.. but going into Houston he was the number one rated tackle with win rate on passing sets
  5. Thats true but we also lost to a 2 win Dolphins team and a 5 win Texans team with a backup QB. Another team being bad doesn't mean a win for us. We lost to some crappy teams already.
  6. Yeah, that might have been the 2nd or 3rd time ever for me. It was undoubtedly the last.
  7. I'd be a little surprised coming off last week, but the guy has been an absolute rock for like 7 years. My only real complaint about him is that we're not really seeing anymore of that fantastic arm chop he was embarrassing people with last year.
  8. What would you say if I told you according to advance metrics Dion Dawkins has the highest pass blocking win rate in the NFL out of any left or right tackle
  9. I was thinking of you earlier when I clicked on a Bleacher Report link that graded QB's for this week. They gave Mahomes an "A" Allen got an "F"
  10. Was I wrong in what I said? The bills are hard to figure out your team is wildly inconsistent.. one week they are amazing the another week you’re wondering “how did they lose to them”. The Bills never should have lost to Atlanta or Miami .. Allen is capable of a lot and is light years better than Maye right now, and he should be he is a smart talented vet one of the best in the NFL.. Maye is a 23 yr old 2nd year player still learning and making mistakes.. he can do some things Allen can’t, his deep ball is probably the best I have seen in like 40 years of watching football.. I won’t lie I don’t really remember Marino deep ball but Maye just seems be perfect on his like 75% of the time that’s a rare skill.. Allen is good he isn’t that good with THAT throw but he is definitely the better QB right now.
  11. Peyton Manning didn't even make a Super bowl till he was 30 lol John elway didn't win a Super bowl till he was 37 Matt Stafford was 0-3 in the playoffs with an average loss of 15 points.. 0 NFC North championships The bills have five straight AFC East championships.. Josh has a winning record in the playoffs We literally lost by three when the Buffalo Bills were severely more depleted than the Kansas City Chiefs... And Josh had the ball to win or tie the game Everybody saying these things are thinking with feelings... Not looking at it objectively.. it's nothing close to a Stafford situation Josh two straight years had the ball in his hands to Win it or tie... He's not running away with his tail between his legs It's nothing like the Matt Stafford situation... Who had a .400 winning percentage... Josh .686 they're not close
  12. Just seeing this thread now. Wow, I guess I really am a Homer in that 82% of the fans in this poll seem to want Beane and McD gone and are willing to sacrifice/miss the playoffs in order to do so. Believe me, I understand the frustration with the team right now, but I can't ever imagine not wishing to make the playoffs, especially with Josh Allen at QB. A few of my still optimistic thoughts: 1. It's never as bad as it seems, and it's never as good as it seems (and that goes not just for the Bills, but for all of the teams in the league). 2. We have had slumps in the middle of seasons before and come out of them. And despite the slump and the WR room, we are still 6th in points scored and the #1 rushing team. 3. I'm not basing any opinions on the Houston game: Thursday night games are always bad/struggles, always weird and more injuries. We were on a short week and on the road against the #1 defense in the NFL (playing for their season/playoff lives basically), and with a number of injuries. I'll wait a week or two before assuming that is how our team will look for the rest of the year vs. every other opponent. 4. I honestly believe that if it weren't for some very bad refereeing, we would have made the Super Bowl last year (flame me all you want for that, I just believe it to be so---there were a number of videos at the time pointing it out. It wasn't just the 4th down they didn't give Josh, it was all game). Maybe we don't win vs. Philly, but I think we would have been more competitive than K.C. was at least. 5. Since Mahomes has been starting (2018---7 years), Kansas City has prevented 17 teams from reaching or winning a Super Bowl. Just sucks that we were 4 of those teams. But, let's not pretend that having an all-time team in your conference that is also the darling of the NFL isn't a factor. 6. It is really hard to maintain consistent success in the NFL. There will be ups and downs---turnover, players aging out, injuries, contracts, free agency, having to pay a franchise QB, etc., etc. Yet, the Chiefs and Bills are the only teams to make the playoffs in each of the last 6 seasons (K.C. is on a 10-year run). Since the start of free agency and salary caps in the early '90s, only 4 other teams have made the post-season more than 6 times in a row. Yes, I understand it is because of the QBs, but they still have to have a good team around them. Sean Payton missed the playoffs 6 of 15 seasons (40%) with Drew Brees as his QB (for example). 7. We are still going to make the playoffs this year. And as we all know, the playoffs are a new season. Anything can happen...and the AFC is still pretty wide open (meaning I think the Bills could beat or lose to any of the prospective playoff teams, but none of them scare me...makes me think we wouldn't have a chance). One game season going forward. Just beat Pitt on Sunday. If so, we are 2 games up on both Pitt and Balt, with a head-to-head victory over each. Chiefs don't have an easy road (Cowboys, Texans, Chargers up next). Houston still has to play the Colts twice, the Chiefs, and the Chargers. Jax still has Colts twice and the Broncos. Plus, some of those teams will be giving each other losses. We're still in good position...it will just be from a wild card spot this year. [Do division titles still seem irrelevant now, as I have heard argued so often?] Just trying to keep some hope alive. I get it, some of you are done with the current regime and have been done for a while and save a Super Bowl win this year, your position is pretty firm. I'm just at a point of, it doesn't look good right now, but let's see how it plays out first. I know, that's what we homers say every year...but it still makes sense to me. If we go on a run, great for all of us. If we crash and burn somehow (miss the playoffs, lose bad in the playoffs or to an inferior opponent), maybe the last of us Homers will be sliding over to your side.
  13. An average Allen game from this year and KC blows out Indy in that game. No kidding. Mahomes was awful for most of that game. Mistake after mistake after mistake and his team kept them afloat until he could find his groove. Here on the other hand you have fans pointing to a freeze frame where Shakir is maybe open for a 2 yard gain on 2nd and 10 and saying we can't possibly win with Allen missing that throw. The performance standard is on a different planet.
  14. To be faaaaair... Our QB isn't doing what he is capable of either.
  15. Cmon Pat, the Bills ceiling is much higher. Your QB can’t do what ours can. Advantage Bills. If the Bills get a few guys back, the Bills can beat anybody in AFC, but then there’s the Rams waiting. Ugh!
  16. A lot of patriots fans forget some fun facts ... Prior to Brady they gave Bledsoe the best contradt in NFL history. He was their future. They got lucky on Brady. Before Bledsoe got injured Belichick didn't think he had long in New England. His second year after having all the same problems in Cleveland and he was on thin ice Before that the team was open to the idea of relocating due to por interest in the area - who loved every team (Bruins, Red Sux, and Celtics) far more than the Patriots Lots and lots of cheating and scandals helped get them to the tops.
  17. The entire second half of that game was a coaching choke-job waiting to happen until Andrews made some uncharacteristic errors. Sick of how McDermott and Company play not to lose anytime we have a lead in the second half of a big game. He is not going to put up with current regime much longer. No one in his position would.
  18. Maybe if he adds 4% body weight he can earn more money or turn into another player.
  19. It's funny how people think they know how teams are going to play next year. I mean, everyone knew in week 13 of the 2024 season that New England, Indy, and Denver would have commanding leads in their respective divisions one year later in 2025, right? The entire season will be sold out well in advance of the opener. Almost all will be season ticket holders.
  20. Dude you're playing semantics I'm Not the only one who says Gregg can add good football weight... It was literally talked about why he was such an intriguing prospect because his frame was not maxed out You are going to argue anything I say.. football coaches and scouts around the world all said Greg had room to grow his frame and he still does I don't care if Greg adds 15 lb of pure muscle or 12 lb of muscle in 3 lb of fat he has the ability to get bigger and it will not hurt his game it was one of things that made him a intriguing prospect I guess you think the 25+ lb that Calais Campbell gained was all terrible for him There is a reason why they check these guys out in their underwear because a football player's frame is very important.. some guys cannot hold a lot of weight some guys can hold more Greg was always said to be a guy who could put on weight without hurting his athleticism because he has a really good frame Not every 6'6 player is even built the same.. body structures are different... Greg has a very good football frame there's a reason why that comes up in his scouting reports
  21. Today
  22. If I am trying be unbiased I would say it all depends what Bills team shows up.. if it’s the one that faced KC they definitely have the edge if it’s the one that showed up for Miami I think they lose and lose badly.. I really can’t figure out the Bills.. Pats have been consistent in the fact they have beaten the teams a good team should but you still see the flaws and where they need more talent.. the next matchup should be fun..
  23. Huh. Dude says learning of a massacre makes him sad. You then mock him. You’re sort of a dick, aren’t you?
  24. Good fat? Okay… sure he could be bigger. Not sure that helps him. Just a weird argument.
  25. Bro he literally talked to Wyoming the other day and said he lives for bounce back days like after the loss That's not a guy who's defeated and is going to run home to California Your opinion is rooted in your feelings not anything concrete.. there is zero rumblings Josh is unhappy and he is always said his goal is to play here forever He's literally the superhero for all the children in the area and all the childhood Cancer patients.. I think that means just as much to Josh as anything .. He's not throwing his legacy away in Buffalo... If he forces a trade or just walks away from the team in his prime his entire legacy is taking a hit in this city He might leave at 40 not at 32
