Conflicting reports. Or maybe she spoke with campus police o the Fayette County Sheriff’s office. -
It’s not mismanagement. It’s careful management. If they take a big swing at QB and they are wrong, everyone is gone. The longer they pretend they are biding their time at QB, the longer they remain employed. The drought era Bills LOVED this tactic. You trade up multiple firsts for a QB, and you miss, you are fired. You take a late first QB here and a day 2 QB there, sign a mid tier guy or a reclamation project, and you convince ownership you just haven’t found the right guy yet, and ownership is happy with playoffs almost every year and a full stadium for a divisional game in December, and you have a job for a really long time in the NFL. Not only that, but they committed to the Rodgers experience this season. So there’s really no reason to not go for it now. Really they’ve wasted 5 year committing to the heir of Big Ben already. What’s another year?

Right in that very article: A spokeswoman for the Lexington police said the department did not have a report matching a sexual assault allegation against Hairston. A spokesperson for the Fayette County Sheriff's Office did not immediately respond to requests for comment Wednesday. -

My other brother Darryl wonders if it's even possible to engage in non-shady activity if it's done in an area where some of the sun's rays are being blocked. Then again, my memaw says he ain't right. -

yes but we had a long sad drought . Perhaps you are of the younger generation ? " Ralph is cheap " was not quite an exaggeration. God Bless him. and the 90s Heartbreaking, but exciting. But heartbreaking I stopped watching the NFL for a few years But these days they are exciting as heck and I love it -

Agree with all of this. No criminal charges, only one alleged victim and no big PR issues means the NFL is better letting this one go. No need to keep it in the ews. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45644674/woman-accuses-bills-maxwell-hairston-sexual-assault This article says that she reported the alleged assault “within hours” to law enforcement. -

I could be wrong, but I read the police had no record of a reported sexual assault. I know she claims that she reported it, but I read that the police had no record of a sexual assault from her. -
Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
Doc replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
LOL! Every team has premier pass rusher as a need. If they teams knew how good he would be, he'd have been drafted top-5. He lasted until 30 because he had 1 year of any production whatsoever, his last one, out of 4 in college. And who knows what he would have done for Buffalo? All I know is what happened. A team everyone thought was tanking and had most of its talented players shipped-off made the playoffs for the first time in 17 years. But don't worry, as has been said numerous times, McD was running the draft that year. He essentially fired himself when he recommended Beane. -

It is NOT suspect. He literally had nothing before this so there was no point in a civil lawsuit until now. The bigger timing tip-off is how she went to the police IMMEDIATELY. Even now that they can, I'd be surprised if they did since there were no criminal charges. -
Not just saying the quiet part out loud. No. Actually boasting that he - the Attorney General of Florida - is going to participate in a sham of due process (note the quotes around the word "process") by having national guard JAGs play immigration judge in kangaroo courts. This out to get you disbarred.

My sources date from 2022 when it was 100% the case that the NFL could not discipline a player for happenings prior to the draft. I would assume yours supercede, being from 2023 Perhaps the NFL decided to change their policy after the Araiza happenings. -

To be honest, we don't know what happened. We don't know Hairston very well, and we don't know the woman at all. The timing of the civil suit is suspect though. Only those two know what the truth is. -

Do you have a link. I found the opposite: https://sports.yahoo.com/personal-conduct-policy-opens-door-154327245.html “College football players, beware. Anything you do before entering the NFL could result in punishment from the NFL. The 2023 version of the Personal Conduct Policy includes language that opens the door to the possibility of imposing discipline on a player for conduct that happened before he joined the NFL. That amounts to a dramatic change to the prior Personal Conduct Policy.” This article is from 2023. I do not expect the NFL to discipline Hairston, but it sure looks like they could. It makes sense that they’d want the option to do so. What it the next elite college QB prospect is a PR nightmare? They’d want the ability to do something about that player.
