  2. Yes this is exactly correct and it's what I was worried about all offseason. The common refrain from the fanbase was that the offense was already elite so all the investments needed to go to the defense. And McDermott and Beane clearly agreed because that's the script they followed. My concern was that all the investments in the world wouldn't make a difference on the defensive side, and that we should instead go all in on investing around Allen because he represents our best shot at a championship. Unfortunately all of my fears have come to fruition. In a vacuum I understand blaming the offense more for this loss. But we have a defensive head coach with his hand picked DC, and we've spent the vast majority of our draft and FA resources on the defense over the past two offseasons. What is the point of all that if we can't even win one ugly defensive battle? If we're doomed to lose every single game against a decent opponent where Allen and the offense aren't at their best?
  3. Article speculated Moore for a 4th round pick. Hell yeah in a millisecond! He’s signed 4 year $110 million contract with Bears in 2024. We would need to have Bears eat a big portion of 2025 salary, and Beane will have work some cap magic. Then we would have a true number 1 WR for Josh, for this and next 2 seasons. And it would only cost a 4th, which Beane can easily recover by trading back. Moore will open up the offense for everyone. I really like Shaheed on the Saints too. He would offer up much of what Moore can, for much cheaper salary. We still need a starting CB, and that will be tricky to acquire. Right now I believe CB2 to be the Bills weakest position currently. Beane must upgrade CB 2 IMO, and that will improve the defense immensely IMO. Get it done Beane, overpay if you have to. Make this roster Super Bowl Champion worthy! There has been a huge drop off in Rapps play. That’s our second weakest position spot imo.
  4. if you don’t ask you don’t get. I’d hope Beane has had the phone glued to his ear since Monday morning trying find a WR, let’s hope someone takes his call
  5. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46513232/buffalo-bills-wr-keon-coleman-benched-first-drive-snf Surprised I didn't see a thread on this. Doesn't sound like a big deal, it was just for the first series apparently over something during the week. If I had to guess (and I am only guessing as they didn't say what the specific reason was), I would bet he was late to something. Before people blow this up, if you read the article both McD and Brady talk on it and have both good things to say and site areas of where they want to see more consistency from the young player. So this isn't some doom or gloom moment, but still worth noting. The encouraging part is they said they are seeing growth, and the area they want to see more from is consistency, which should come as no surprise to anyone. Personally, I think Brady needs to do a better job at getting him (and Palmer) involved. While I like Brady overall, his play calling and his situational decisions have left a lot on the field out there at times this year. I think with a guy like Keon, they need to start making an effort to get him more involved and putting him position to do so more often with crossers, slants, and comebacks. He seems like someone who will get stronger as you get him more involved and we saw it week 1 as well. Note: Samuel is another guy I think they need to work in more, he is getting open and not getting the looks.
  6. Raiders, F it. I am taking Rams in half. Rams Eagles and Packers all have juicy matchups down the road.
  7. Thank you, I will check this out! If I am wrong, then I take back what I said
  8. No, the entire year 2024. You can look for yourself here - Snap Counts by Team - Footballguys
  9. GB…don’t overthink it. The Vegas line only moved from -14.5 to -14 after the trade was announced. Flacco got bumped from being a starter in Cleveland and hasn’t been the same as that small run he had in Cleveland two years ago. He was not good in Indy last year. I do think he will slightly improve their offense, but not much with their horrible O-line.
  10. On G. Elliott Morris from an actual pollster who has a proven track record...
  11. This year or last year? This year, yes in a 5 game sample size. The 20+ game sample size is much different.
  12. Hey, I agree with a lot here. However, that #1 WR we had in Diggs faded at the end of the season and went invisible in the playoffs the last few times. The good teams can take away a #1 WR and perhaps even two of them. Buffalo had the #! scoring offense in 2024 without that #1 guy, who is almost always a diva and wants the ball every play. A #1 WR isn't going to make or break this offense come playoff time. Diggs' last game for Buffalo against KC, 8 targets, 3 receptions for 21 yards! All game long. The Chiefs had LJarius Sneed and Trent McDuffie at CB...two of the best. Sneed was covering Diggs in the first half and went to cover Shakir in the second half. This CB hadn't allowed a TD to anyone all year long until Shakir caught a TD in that game. And yeah, Buffalo ended up drafting Kaiir Elam because the Chiefs traded up right before them in the draft to steal away CB Trent McDuffie. Elam was a mental case, and he needed to go after getting smoked by KC last year. The main reason the Buffalo secondary looked so bad against the Patriots is simple. Tre White played poorly and was toasted by Diggs. If the rest of the secondary were playing up to par, he wouldn't look so bad. All of the Buffalo starters are having a subpar year, except perhaps Cole Bishop. A player who missed a lot of time at the start of last year and is still learning as he goes. Christian Benford, who was a star CB the last two seasons, is not looking so good this year. With Dorian Strong out and Hairston on IR, things might not get better until after the bye. I wouldn't be surprised if Beane traded for a CB at this point because who knows how long it will take to get that #1 pick up to speed, as he hasn't practiced since July? The Buffalo defense is doing better than it looks, considering all the problems they have right now. Then look at the Baltimore Ravens and all their injuries 1-4. I can't even imagine what this board would be like if Buffalo were 1-4.
  13. Actually, he's right minus KC. Philly, Wash, Det, Cincy....etc....(what he posted earlier) their #1-#2 guys play consistently at over 85%
  14. Hey Jerry... ... oops, that wasn't the one I meant to give you, either...
  15. Well, you always need to get better. I don’t think an argument can be made that the Bills are better than a bottom 5 WR room. Will that ultimately cost them? TBD. It did cost them dearly the other day. Amari is obviously cooked and looked so out of shape in his brief return this offseason. Who is this year’s “Cooper?” Olave? Jakobi Meyers? Doubs? DJ Moore? I’d try calling Arizona and offering a 1st and whatever WR they want for MHJ. It’s a long shot but maybe it’s just not working out there? I saw an article today with the OC there saying that he didn’t do enough to get him the ball. Maybe you can slide in and buy him cheap from a 🗑️organization. I think there’s about a 2% chance Arizona would listen but it’s worth the call.
  16. I love this, he accidentally stuck his middle finger up instead of his thumb? Easy mistake to make 🙄🤣🤣 Robert Kraft accidentally showed the masseuse his c*** when he just meant to show her his foot. True story. These old guys get confused sometimes.
  17. Copy pasting myself from another thread: "I'm stealing this information from Joe Marino's all-22 analysis. Leading up to the game Joe said the Pats have weak coverage LBs, and that one of our priorities should have been to get them into their base personnel and throw the ball into it. In his all-22 analysis he revealed that we got them into base personnel on 14 plays. But we only passed on 2 of those plays. Both passes were 20 yard completions to Kincaid. The 12 runs averaged 2.8 YPC... That represents a massive missed opportunity. We got the looks we wanted but didn't take advantage on nearly enough of them because our identity is that we run out of heavy personnel and that's that. Stubbornness hurt the offense on Sunday night." I'm starting to worry that Brady game plans for his players' strengths but he doesn't game plan for the opponent's weaknesses.
  18. We need to trade for DJ Moore
  19. Hopefully those will be thrown in 'jail' also.
  20. "Everybody Eats" is the easier way to say "we dont have anyone that can beat you"
  21. You believe in the year 2025 that Trump attempted a coup in 2021?
  22. From the moment video began to circulate on Sunday of Cowboys owner and G.M. Jerry Jones showing the New Jersey state bird to Jets fans at MetLife Stadium, it was obvious that the NFL would impose a financial punishment. And Jones was fined $250,000 — despite his laughable claim that he meant to give a thumb’s up instead. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/an-intentional-thrown-drink-isnt-much-more-expensive-than-an-inadvertent-middle-finger
  23. That is incorrect. The teams that play the most games rotate their WRs/TEs. Go look up the snap counts for 2024 Philly, Washington, Buffalo, and KC.
