IMO McDermotts camp is subtly hinting that he has actually wanted WRs all along. If you notice this is becoming a veiled talking point in local media and even Sal has hinted at McDermott wanting more at the WR spot. When that happens there is something going on.
-
Too many bought into the stupid everyone eats mantra and thought that meant the people eating needed to be leftover jags other teams wouldnât put on their practice squads
-
Would it shock anyone if Pete Carroll was 1 and done In Vegas, too?
-
Trent McDuffie might be the best cb in the NFL Elam had a psychological meltdown in the AFC championship and basically single handedly cost us a super bowl appearance. It was that bad ... Elam was just released and Dallas beat Philadelphia
-
Yup I was arguing with people on here that having two legit WRs is a key component to being a Super Bowl team. Eventually we regressed as a fanbase and I was trying to convince people that having ONE was important. I don't really understand what happened there but at least we've woken up from that collective fever dream.
-
Yes donât go all in to win a Super Bowl. We want all those draft picks or how else would our D line consist of so many 1st and 2nd day of the draft starters. I mean weâve got Greg Rousseau, Boogie Basham, AJ Epenesa, Dwayne Carter, Landon Jackson and TJ Sanders! Rotating fringe NFL talent since 2019 McBeane style đ

Congrats! Letâs hope she can bounce back and the Bills can get her her first win. This reminded me of when my first child was born in 2011, and the Bills started 4-0. I thought she was for sure the answer to our prayers and the franchiseâs good luck charm! But, alas, it would take more than good baby luck to make Trent Edwards a good QB.

Remember back when Diggs was here and all we were asking for was a steady WR2 to complement Diggs and take some attention away from him? Now, Beane has somehow managed to convince a good portion of this fan base we didn't even really need a competent WR2 even though he was contemplating parting ways with a first round pick mid-season, which to me is an admission he knows he's wrong. I'd be more worried about making the playoffs at this point. Josh Allen is only taking this team so far and the lack of talent on this roster has reached critical mass. Josh simple can't do enough to hide it anymore.

Iâm watching the Rams demolish people as the Super Bowl front runner and I have to remember our brilliant GM said he runs this team as to not be like them.
-
The reason buffalo has 7 wins is because he has this eras Elway. Those 80s denver teams were kinda meh. Similar to buffalo. The good news is it really only takes 2-3 superstars to make a big difference
-
If thatâs the case then he really needs to hire Ozzie Newsome as a consultant to not botch the first 3 rounds and kick McD out of the room entirely

And yet, Dallas is 5-5-1; K.C. is 6-5; Cinn is 3-8 (obviously w/o Burrow). Not saying I wouldn't gladly accept a stud #1 WR on the Bills---but all three of those teams may not make the playoffs this year. The Bills have 7 wins and are still 6th place in scoring (despite the up-and-down slump). K.C., Cincinnati, and Philadelphia have all scored fewer points than the Bills. Only Dallas has scored more (9 more points across 11 games, or 0.8181 points/game). Again, I'm not saying I don't want a stud receiver on the team, but having a stud receiver or even two stud receivers still does not guarantee anything. And before you say we have Josh, those teams have Mahomes, Dak, Hurts, and Burrow/Flacco...not chopped liver. Plus, the 2025 draft was not great for receivers. We were not going to go up to #8 for McMillian, if we went up to #19 from #30 for Egbuka, we would have had to give up at least a 2nd rounder as well---but that seems to have been the only move to make, and who knows if we could have gotten up there or not if we tried). Only 3 other receivers were drafted in the top 50 (Jayden Higgins, Matthew Golden, and Luther Burden). Judging by their stats on their respective teams, I'm not sure any of them would have been help this year. In 2024, the only real move to make was to go up to 23 for Brian Thomas, Jr. (which is what I was hoping for at the time). He had a very good rookie year, but hasn't quite lived up to it in year two. So, who knows. I guess we also could have drafted Ladd, but I understand them thinking he wasn't the type of receiver we needed. That's really it (I'm not sold on Worthy yet). I doubt we could have moved up to spots 4, 6 or 9 from 28 for any of the top three guys (we would have needed another first round selection, which we didn't have, or give up say 2025 1st and our 2024 4th round picks or our 2024 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th round picks). In 2025 free agency, Davante Adams was the only stud WR available (going to LAR). In 2024 free agency, Calvin Ridley was the only big WR available. One each year, with 32 teams. As far as trades: 2024: Keenen Allen and Davante Adams (other name WR trades included Deandre Hopkins, Cooper to Bills, and Diggs). 2025: Pickens and Metcalf (Meyers). So, between FA and trades, basically three stud WRs each of the last two years moved (again, with 31 teams each whom may want them). I mean, maybe it isn't as easy as we think to just go out and get a stud #1 WR. And that's before even talking about contracts and cap. But, having said all of that, I also have no issue with fans wishing Brandon took more shots at the WR position at least.

I want Allen to have weapons like Jerry Rice & John Taylor
-
No, they don't. Other than Mahomes the last player in that Will Anderson/Jalen Carter type impact area for the Chiefs was Chris Jones 10 years ago.........well before their SB run began and pre-dating the McBeane era. Their drafting largely mirrors that of Buffalo since the McBeane era began. They just had a head start with Kelce, Tyreek and Jones all in place while the Bills basically nuked their roster in 2017 and started from scratch.

Because I didnât bet on the Texans. i made a post on the board last week about how the Texans +5.5 is the play of the week (even if we won, Texans had only lost twice at home this season and it was by 1 and 2 points, to good teams). I felt the same way towards KC -2 (they were on a heater) and Bucs +5.5, so I was 0-2 when betting against the Bills this season. I mentioned how if it werenât for the fact I wagered too much on those 2 lines, I would totally be in on Bucs +5.5 to keep the streak going and give us some good luck. So I apologized to Bills fans in advance and here we are. I am fine with âpaying for Bills winsâ, but my bank account, not so much. If I placed that bet, Gabe Davis gets 2 feet in bounds. I am so sorry.

You make good points⌠I thinks itâs also important to note that Beane was never a âfootball talent evaluatorâ type of GMâŚBeane comes from the money side of things- heâs a salary cap guy, accounting. He was never the type of person that had an eye for talent. Therefore, he needs to rely on the guys around him, to really give him the Xâs and Oâs about player evaluationâŚđ

Some say "it's not like they didn't try!" As if that matters. Trying isn't the job. Results are the job. Everybody tries. I don't blame Pegula for not firing Beane yet because the season hasn't played out. What if we go to the Super Bowl?
-
I mean, yeah? Great WRs have been making game changing plays since the inception of the NFL and their importance has only grown over time. Watching something like 75% of the fanbase pretend otherwise was like waking up to find that flat earth theory had become the dominant point of view. People on here literally said having a true WR1 is bad for your offense because they want the ball too much. The one bright spot of this season is we can permanently bury that insane take. Unfortunately the people in charge of the team led the brigade on that take - they even sold merchandise off of the idea - so hopefully they'll be buried along with it as soon as possible.
-
I'm just speculating but because the cast came off, I'm assuming he's getting closer to 100%. And it's something he can play through and be fine for the playoffs
-
We have been brutal on the road this year. I get that we have a talent deficit and play calling has been buns but the uncharacteristic penalties, turnovers, and complacency/lack of effort is whatâs making the difference between wins and losses. The field in the AFC is nothing special. Need to get back to basics, start peaking toward the end of the season, get in and anything is possible.
-
We are closer to getting rid of McBeane than we have ever been. I really think it can be done within 3 years.
