He can't and won't. Football is the ultimate team sport. We really need the defense to step up this year as the season is depending on it. Beane made a lot of moves to improve that side of the ball. Hopefully they work out.

We know Pegula won't pull the trigger this year. Going into an offseason where he has to solidify Luxury suites and PSL's....

Trust me I know it's not a popular opinion, but it's how I've felt for a while. Safety to me is a position that shouldn't be drafted in the first 2 rounds, and if you do draft one they better be a total stud. To me the first 2 rounds are about premium positions with high end athletic traits. Safety is not a position where I care as much about athleticism. Obviously I'd prefer to have better than Hamlin out there but I'm also not panicking over it. Agree to disagree on this one Alpha.

After you said, and I quote "hes awful barely an nfl talent" I pointed out that right now, the bottom half of our WR roster do not have the confidence of the coaching staff who watch them every day. In order to remedy that, other WRs are being brought in to asses their viability to replace one or more of the currently rostered WRs. You may feel that Gabe David is "awful, barely an nfl talent" but others feel that he might be the best choice at this time, given who else is available. Im wondering perhaps if you can have someone around you help you understand this, maybe with simple images rather than words.

Proven by last year. Everyone was worried our offense was going to suck because we lost Diggs and had no #1. Well, the offense was great and we were let down by our defense in the biggest moments- again.

McDermott is 7-7, most wins against low seeds and 0-4 on the road. Just like Marty he can't get past the AFCCG. And here is the kicker, his teams lost some very close games... sound familiar? Marty Schottenheimer's NFL playoff record was 5-13. He reached the playoffs 13 times in his 21 seasons as a head coach but never advanced beyond the conference championship round. In total, he coached 18 playoff games

I’ll keep going. This D gives up the easy quick pass way too much the last 2 years. The FLATS. And screens they all are undersized by design. Get pounded on the ground. Get injured bc they are a reactionary D and small. used to never give up the big pass play. But now they give up that.

Both Bishop & Kincaid will be Utah busts. While Josh is in his prime, we just afford these high pick misses. When we settle for blatantly mediocre players like Hamlin or the possible return of Gabe, we send a message to our fanbase that knowing the system takes precedent over playmakers.

The Safety play this preseason has been comical. Theres not one positive thing I can take away from these two games aside from the potential of Jordan Hancock next year because McDermott won’t play him with his ultra-complicated wizard level Safety requirements.

He’s better in the playoffs than Marty ever was, but he can’t go 0-5 against the Chiefs without being replaced. It would be time for a new voice and direction, because clearly McD can’t get it done for whatever reason.

Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G, Daniel Jones, Jake Browning, Marcus Mariota, Andy Dalton, Jacoby Brisset, Gardner Minshew, Cooper Rush, Zach Wilson, etc. Russell Wilson at this point (even though he is technically starting, but he is basically a backup level QB now). Tyrod Taylor is still maybe above average as a backup. I was actually really hoping the Bills would sign Zach Wilson as a backup. He is athletic and has a big arm. He is a good kid and would probably really benefit from being with a strong organization and Josh Allen. I think he would be a good backup.

This ties into my position about McD scheme and philosophy. It’s too complicated or they can’t find ALL the right players to run it. We hold poyer and Hyde as the STANDARD. They WERENT good enough in their time here! They got bounced by kc multiple times and Cincy. So like to hope that we get ANOTHER Hyde and poyer is selling this idea short. I’m at . And have been. NEW D or new Coach.

Ugh….it’s pretty sickening to have a great quarterback, one of the best to ever play the game, and not be able to at least reach the SB. It’s through no fault of his own, it’s this damn defense that constantly sucks and we have, supposedly, one of the defensive coach mind in the league. Yet somehow his defense keeps getting beat by an offensive minded head coach who apparently can coach a defense better as well as handle the offense. This is just sickening. I’m not sure what the next move should be, but should we have gotten rid of McDermott a while ago? He’s not a bad coach or a bad guy for that matter, but is this a similar situation to Tampa firing Dungy and hiring Chuckie to vault them into the SB?
