Some rules that I think are dumb

Ohhhhh I understand it more now. It was a longgggg run. In that case, Bills decline the face mask and it would put it at the Chiefs 20 yard line. -

the catch rules just overall defy common sense. You slow anything down to the frame, and it probably doesn’t look like a catch. my rule change would be— if it looks like a catch in real time, then it is. Should be a judgment call, just like calling “holding” is a judgment call. We shouldn’t be looking at surviving the ground or the ball moving. -
He had his left knee jammed into the turf in the game prior against the Pats too. If one looked closely enough, he wasn’t moving the same after that either. He’s been getting banged up the last couple of games, that’s for sure. Josh is definitely becoming too commercialized and was thinking about all the golfing he’d be doing over the bye week.
-
It’s frustrating because we know what we have at the QB position. A once in a generation QB. Expecting him to put on the cape every game is wrong and delusional but even just borderline decent games from Josh would have won these last 2 games if not 3 comfortably. @TheBrownBear said it perfectly. The team doesn’t play well on either side of the ball at the same time. Defense is clearly an issue but can show up. Offense is clearly our life support but sometimes doesn’t show up. Not to repeat but for as bad as the defense is and has been the last few games, they’ve done enough, barely, to keep us in games. Offense and Josh hasn’t executed hence the hole we are in.
-
The one that makes sense is Olave. I’m not entertaining a head case like Pickens. Leopards don’t change their spots. Olave is young, cheap for now, and on a dumpster fire team. We just need NO to lose every game until the deadline.

It would be one thing if the WR establishes a change of direction to come back to a pass. But they literally are just allowed to stop on a dime on an underthrown ball and all the WR has to do is allow the DB to run into them by stopping on a dime. It should be a no call.

No one performed well last Monday night, including the coaches, everyone on the O and D lines (Walker was OK), the back 7 on D, the WRs, the TEs, the RBs (maybe not Cook and Davis made one good play). And Josh. It is OK to acknowledge that last one even though we all love the guy and know how great it is to have him as QB. The bye week comes at a good time. There needs to be a lot of introspection, some direct discussions about individual players that need to sit, trades that might be needed, and so on.

stop responding him to him and the trolls.

Before the obsession with "narrative control" here, there was another similar obsession. As a grown-up, I didn't even know what it meant: Ratio'd. I looked it up. It means the ratio between likes:unlikes (or whatever they call it on Twitter; I don't have a Twitter account) to a post. So the same people were all excited when, say, a Kamala campaign post had 3:1 negative reaction. The rest of us were perplexed. I mean, does that tell me anything other than "new" Twitter/X has 3 times more right-wing than left wing subscribers? Or more accurately, 3 times more politics obsessed right-wingers than regular people? No. It doesn't tell me anything other than that. Why would a grown man (and they are all nominally men) care about this nothing statistic? Do the same people care if a poll shows the Dallas Cowboys have 3 times more self-identified "fans" than the Buffalo Bills? Are these the people who scream their heads off when some pathetic old nostalgia act says "Now right side only ... who's ready to rock and roll tonight!" Are they thrilled if their side is a touch louder? Yes. Yes they are. But such is the immaturity of the Trumpist. And it flows straight from the immaturity of that 79 year old who reposts ret@rded (he said that word is now in vogue again!) internet memes. Ratio me!! Use that little pukey emoji. I'll be crushed.

My god, do you hear that? It’s Gabe Davis’ music!

Our entire receiving group other than Shakir are giving us pretty much nothing. We barely throw to any of them, except Keon on the sideline when he is blanketed. We design almost nothing down the field for our WR's. We hit two nice passes to Palmer and then he was injured. We have barely used Moore. Samuel only dressed for two games, and we did not target him once down the field. Keon can not catch on the boundary. Get him running in the middle of the field. As for Shavers, figure out what he is good at, and give him some targets. As for Shakir, get him the ball all over the field, not just within 3 yards in front or behind the LOS. Sure our WR's are not game breaker burner types. But my goodness we are scheming almost nothing down the field. Elijah Moore was above average in his career before coming to Buffalo. Get him the frikin ball down the field some!! The same with Samuel!! Our passing scheme is absolutely absurdly terrible!! And this is with probably the best QB in the league. Get rid of Joe Brady if he can not orchestrate an NFL passing game. And if McDermott does not want him to. Get rid of McDermott too. So if you want to dress Gabe, make sure we throw him the ball. Running is fine. But you had better be able to make plays in the passing game, otherwise you are not winning anything. This is not the Chicago Bears of 1985. And even they threw deep to Willie Gault and Dennis McKinnon a decent amount. -

There seems to be this assumption that anytime Allen scrambles for 10 seconds that it is because everybody failed him. For whatever reason the last few weeks Allen has leaned into hero ball pretty heavily, looking off high percentage plays in order to huck down field for low percentage options. It has been most prevelant the last two weeks but noticible for the last 6 weeks. I love the dude, he is one of one, but he just doesn't seem like he has had a great feel for the offense this year. Even on a lot of his scrambles he will roll out with 15 yards of green grass in front of him, and throw up a prayer on 2nd and 10 rather than take an 8 yard scamper to leave us with 3rd and easy. -
And I'm confident that over the course of the whole season Allen will make those plays, just like last season and the seasons before that. What isn't reasonable is that Allen will make those plays in every game. As Greg Cossel frequently notes its just not realistic to expect Allen to pay like Super Man every week.

Where the offense usually gets the benefit of the doubt on most things againstthe defense, like wr and defensive player catch ball at the same time and goes to offense, makes me okay with ten yards for offensive holding.

Did Groot not line up in the neutral zone 2 weeks in a raw? This is football 101 stuff: 1) Am I lined up where I am supposed to be? 2) Did I look down the line to make sure I am lined up onside. Mental errors like this should not happen. I have never been in favor of small LB’s.

We laugh because otherwise we'd cry. If McD/Brady could never ever ever pass the ball again and get to 9-8 or 8-9 they would be perfectly happy with that. And before some homer gets mad, do you think this looks like an offense that has put any thought whatsoever into the passing game? They don't draft for it, they don't gameplan around it, and it would appear they dont even practice it.

Hey man, I’m on record acknowledging this team goes as far as Josh takes us. He’s an absolute stud. I see all sides of the pine.. the defense being a serious issue the coaching staff not being up to par lack of talent at the WR position I don’t disagree with anything there. Not for a second. There was so many plays left on the field that were a combination of the coaching staff AND Josh. @JakeFrommStateFarm highlighted about Bijan’s 171 yards and a TD on the ground. Out of that total he put up 138 and the TD in the first half. Defense/STs did enough to get us back in the game. 3 stopped drives after the boys made it 14-21. One of those drives they took 3 off the scoreboard with a blocked FG. Josh’s failed 4th down pass to Ty Johnson and the botched snap on 3rd down were back breakers. Either of them go the opposite way it probably turns out a different game. Lots of blame to go around and as much as people want to pile it on the defense, it was a collective effort by the team top to bottom; including the MVP.

Or not even play well for 4 Quarters. Just don't play so poorly for 2 Quarters that it was barely believable that it was a professional football team out there on defense. They literally were incapable first hald of doing the most basic of basics right. That is what concerns me the most about it. Their fundamentals are absolutely miles off.

Nope, I won my game this week because the other guy was playing Josh Allen at QB.
