Happy Opening Game Day, TBD! Get a nap today; it's going to be a long night. Because no matter what happens, I know most of you will be up very late; either (1) imagining the SB victory parade, or (2) contemplating all that went wrong, and trying to figure out if this team will ever win a game. Just win baby, just win!" GO BILLS!!!! -
You're seriously fooling yourself if you think Ray Davis can Kick the Ball 55 yards, even with a running start - just bc you saw him kick a line drive extra point that went halfway up the uprights. No team right now is worried about whether or not their Kicker can make a tackle and pulling them off the field for players at other positions bc they are better suited to tackle. You're really overthinking this in many different ways and your misguided idea won't be a thing. If it were, we'd have seen Ray Davis instead of Caden Davis trying Kickoffs during the Pre-Season and heard reports of him doing it in practice.

My fingernails will be well chopped and getting my steps in shouldn’t be an issue today! 😎 Hopefully the bailer twine holding our D together doesn’t snap and our WR’s catch everything thrown their way…if so, we should still win. -

That’s not the point. I know Prater can kick off…the problem is, he can’t tackle anyone, and under the new rule, that could be a problem. Davis can certainly kick the ball 55 yards off a tee, with a running start.
-
So, why the he11 did they have him kick in the last preseason game? Did that reaggravate it?

T-minus... 0 days and counting!!! Happy Home Opener Day!!! See y'all @ Hammer's Lot in a few hours. Let's hope our pass rush has improved so that our defense can give Josh and the fellas the support they've needed for quite some time and make third downs not such a tragedy. Go Bills!

You Kickoff from your own 35. Even if you're kicking it to just the opposing 15, you're booming it 50 yards. You can't really think Ray Davis has 50-55 yard kicks in him You want Ray Davis Kicking off, he'll be Kicking it to where they'd be on a Touchback under the new rules anyways. Matt Prater is an actual Kicker. 41 years old doesn't mean he's broken down. Kickers in their 40's is fairly common. If there were a concern on whether he could handle Kickoffs - we'd have brought someone else in.

Ok boys, let’s matriculate the ball down the field! -
You know the rule changed, right? You don’t want to “boom” kickoffs now.
-
Matt Prater has a booming leg. And, ya know - is an actual Kicker. Even at 40 last season, he was still making 50+ yard kicks. Ray Davis kicked a couple extra points. Didn't get a lot of air on those XP's either. There's a reason he didn't Kick Off - they used Caden Davis for those. He's not booming Kickoffs.

The Harris contract was the most baffling deal in free agency to me.

Tyler Dunne's piece on Caleb Williams is DAMNING
GunnerBill replied to estro613's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure. I just don't think he was interested in speaking to anyone who disagrees with his narrative. And when you think about the number of people let go from the Bears over the past 12 months: from coaches, to support staff, to players, to personnel guys... it wouldn't be difficult to find 32 people with axes to grind. Again I am not doubting that his sources are honestly sharing their truth of what happened and what it felt like. I am doubting that is a fully rounded view of what went on in Chicago last year. -

He has a ton a sources he is relying on. I am not doubting any of those sources are genuine. I am doubting that he was ever looking for dissenting voices though. I agree with @FireChans he starts with his story then works to find the sources who will back that up. -
Absolutely not. Why is it not a viable plan?

You're joking, right? This has to be a joke.
