I was with you up until this. Shavers has no business being on the field, period. He's not an NFL caliber WR. He looks decent enough lined up against other Practice Squad players and guys who will be out of the league during the Pre-Season. But he's been active every single game this year and has gone without a catch in 5 of the 7 games. He has not earned more playing time. If you think Coleman has a hard time getting open, you should watch Shavers running routes on the All 22. The only thing Shavers should be doing is making room for whomever we Trade for and/or Gabe Davis when he's ready.

Why wouldn’t this happen? KC has started 5-4 before and still ended up in the AFCCG.

Or Curtis Samuel, who's played in only 3 games and has a total of 3 catches for 35 yards? It should be both. Get the best WR you can in here via trade and elevate Gabe Davis. If everyone stays healthy and there's no one to IR, release Tyrell Shavers and Elijah Moore. Any upgrade over the pathetic WR room we have, no matter how small, should be exercised.

The first tweet is nonsensical/straw man territory. If there is a spread of several weeks, can't both things easily be true? Especially if the games where Allen was most asked to carry the team are also the games where his play was the worst? Also, which specific run earned Cook the scepter? I'm mostly remembering untouched yardage (~75% before contact WTF?!), so am I just omitting a particularly violent but less memorable rush? Could be.
