Matching up with playoff contenders
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Denver is properly questioned and Jacksonville is getting slept on a bit personally I’ve seen Denver look bad for three quarters far too often to trust them at all.. their strength of victory is atrocious(worse than NEs even) and they just snuck away with a lot of those wins. The Philly win is starting to lose its luster with Philly losing to a straight up injury decimated chargers team -
They're a very pedestrian and flawed offense with a below average QB. Great defense sure, but not at Houston's level of physicality. Houston was ready to beat the breaks off them until Stroud got hurt. Tons of close wins, bad DVOA, lower than the year prior. Buffalo would be favored at Denver. In fact Buffalo would be favored or even money in every playoff game if this ends up being the field. So to say we should plow thru these teams is a mistake as we are vulnerable as well, but we also have the best QB in the playoffs and a decisive edge at that position vs any other team.

Will someone tell Ed to put his Gawd dam horse away already???

He's not wrong on the WRs, we all know this. Our WR room hasnt had a true 1 since Diggs. But those guys do not exactly grow on trees. Were Samuel and Palmer waste of money so far...yes. Coleman seems like a waste of a pick. And the FO has to answer for that. But they also get credit for the TE room, RB room and OL. As to defense, the secondary is coming together. The LB w Thompson have been a strength. And we have literally had only a handful of games with Oliver and Bosa in the lineup together. We do not have a true game wrecker on D, and likely wont given where we draft. Packers had to send a whole lot of draft capital for Parsons. Look...we know Beane knows we need to upgrade the D and WR room. Thats why he was calling about Waddle, Quinnen and others at the deadline. But we need a dance partner. We gotta work with what we can get this season and try to improve the WR room in round 1 next year. And WR do take some time to develop, even the very very good ones.

I've never seen a team sustain more injuries in practice than the Bills, what the f#*K do they do out there? -
I don't know much about medical walking shoes, but I know trying to play corner and plant/cut/accelerate with a bad toe is a legit issue that is not simple to get around.

I'm choosing to believe it's Kanye's latest snow boot design. And because Benford took a team friendly deal, he could only afford one. -
That very well could be, but remember Denver has had, let's say, several playoff games gifted to them by some suspect officiating blunders. I recently wrote about being "fan scared," and how silly it is. I'll admit being "fan scared" about playing the Broncos for that reason alone.

This team needs to take up dancing lessons because apparently, they keep stepping on each other's feet. -

I think the ravens know they don’t have the guys in the trenches to do anything meaningful this season so they aren’t playing super hard. Really wouldn’t even hate a ravens matchup barring massive changes in the last four games. If the bills finish 3-1 or better and the loss isn’t NE they’ll be a road favorite in any afc matchup imo -
I think he’s done.

Meh… A little tired of the rely on JA too much talk….what top team doesn’t rely almost entirely on it’s qb…Bills just happen to have the most dynamic one in the game…What do they mean anyway? He passes the ball and occasionally runs…and not for nothing but most qb’s could have done that 40 yarder…don’t think what he does is “not sustainable” No mention of best running game in league and fwiw….Bills wr group has rarely had its top guys all healthy and we are missing the two best d line men…hopefully Oliver gets back….

Cosell is one of the most respected football gurus around, lives football. Truly passionate about it. I also value his opinion, think he should be brought on board to help Beane and McD choose the exact kind of players they need now in the draft and fee agency. I think he would love to do that, really use his immense knowledge and skills to help guide an NFL team. But he is not always right. He had said James Cook was not an starting caliber, every down workhorse back several times on One Bills Live, after the draft and after he had played for a year or so. Because I respect his opinion so much, I bought in wholeheartedly. I think Cook is second in the league in carries this year and a true workhorse back who runs with both speed and great power. I hope Cosell is just as wrong this time. I think he is.

Could be hopium but ‘medical walking shoe’ sounds pretty minor to me -
