Was he a turnover machine because of Daboll or because he was young dumb and full of ---?(If you've seen the original point break you can fill in the blank). I'd like to see current Josh in that offense.

It was quite obvious after the first 2 drives that the Bills were totally unprepared to play. Looked like they did no prep and had very low energy across the board. Everyone was kind of jogging around going through the motions. Defense was on their heels watching teammates try to tackle instead of hustling to the play and helping. What’s discouraging is they never could snap out of it. Never showed any fire or emotion. Almost like they didn’t want to be there.

But, but…it’s such a complicated offensive system. -
This offense is McDermotts vision and he's absolutely convinced it will win him a Superbowl. This guy can't be fired fast enough. He's turned Allen into Trent Edwards. He makes Dick Jauron look like Bill Walsh.
-
The ironic thing about this offseason is the only guy who was extended who hasn’t been a disappointment was the only guy no one seemingly wanted to extend

I just think that's a ridiculous assumption that he sat in his office focused on two players to the extent that it prevented him from discussing deals with other teams. It's simple logic. Those guys are usually in the office 7 days a week this time of year. Your gonna sit here and tell me Beane talked to two teams and spent the rest of the time just staring at the phone waiting for a call back. He or nobody on his staff talked to any other team? Really?

But McConkey doesn't solve this team's biggest issue which is they don't threaten deep and outside and it means teams can compress the field against us both vertically and horizontally. And look I'd have picked him before Coleman, because Coleman doesn't do any of those things either and McConkey is just a better football player. And anyone who tried to argue that Coleman was a contested catch specialist hadn't watched enough of him in college. He wasn't that for Florida State he hasn't been that in the league. He is pretty average in that facet. The thing Keon does best is run after the catch ball in hand. It is not coincidence that when the Bills were getting some production from him in the middle of his rookie year pre injury that is how he was being used in the main. Coleman was just a bad pick. A slow, big slot, who is a career non-separator and average at the catch point. I said it at the time and I stick by every word.

I wonder what number he's going to wear for us? Something tells me the numbers he wore in Kansas City, 17 and 12, won't be available 🤣 -

Man, there are Wikipedia pages devoted to single Andy Reid plays. When was the last time the Bills ran a play where a defense was totally fooled? The long TD to John Brown in the Dallas Thanksgiving game? -
based on this, I think the Rams and Seahawks are the class of the NFC

This year, we're at the peak of this offensive philosophy. Even if we want to do something else, there's no weapon to do it on offense. Just the fact that we still talk about a WR1 tell us everything. We have to deal with it, but i still scratch my head. Another philosophy would be bringing as a priority every weapons this QB needs on offense, and more if it's possible... An offense with that QB should play at a face past. You can run the ball the number of times you want in a fast pace! In fact, we ask Allen to be a game manager like a lot of QB in this league...and when something goes wrong, we suddenly ask him to play like superman, without the weapons. There's no way that man doesnt see it. If i play against the Bills, i have to find a way to slow down their offense but..they do it themself for me. Complimentary football are some magics words so say -playing first to not loose- or -trust the process-. This defense is a pure product of our HC and it seems that everything is set for helping this defensive scheme, even our offensive philosophy. This team is build like that. We have to deal with it, like i said. We're a good team and i will hope for the best...It's not like i can do anything else!

Um, yes, yes I do. That's what the evidence all shows. Oh, and as for Josh having to say this because he's supportive, please stop with this nonsense. This is the whole deal where people assume any opinion from a star is a lie because the listener doesn't agree with the star. It's just nonsense. The argument goes like this: "He's a teammate, so he has to say something like this. Plus he's disagreeing with me here, so he must be lying." This line of argument, that a fan knows what he really meant and that the fan is a better barometer of what Allen meant than Allen is, it's crap. As a supportive teammate, Allen DID NOT NEED to lie. He just didn't. Off the top of my head, here are ten texts/tweets he could have sent without lying that would have completely filled the bill: Yeah, excited to work with you, Keon! Keon Coleman!! We're gonna put up some serious yards! Psyched!!! Really looking forward to throwing to you, Keon Coleman!! Alright!!!!! Yeah, baby!! See you at camp, Keon! Hey, my new best friend, Keon Coleman!! Keon, this is going to be great!!! Oh, yeah!!! Keon Coleman!! Keon is a big guy!! This will be fun!!! KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEON!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to giving 110% with you, buddy!!! All of those would have been just fine, without lying. This is always the (dumb) argument, that he had to lie to be a good teammate. And it's total bushwah!!! There's a reason he said "You're the guy I wanted." The reason is that he's the guy he wanted. Again, he didn't have to say that. Could've gone a million different ways with no problem. Brandon Beane: "Josh is crazy about the draft process. If I get a call from Josh in the offseason, it's usually him seeing somebody on a highlight, running into somebody, throwing with somebody -- just something to ask me what I think about this guy. He called me at the Senior Bowl (asking) what do I think about a couple of guys there. So he loves it. "He's been in the building the last couple of weeks now that the offseason program's started. So we did give him some guys, we said, 'Hey, sit back with the coaches, y'all watch them together and talk about how you'd use them. I'd like to hear what you see.' And he liked a lot of the guys, he really did. But Keon was one -- I know he liked him a lot, too. And Josh and I didn't speak on Thursday, really. Maybe he stopped by that morning. But that next day, Friday morning, he FaceTimed me. Actually, I was still at home before I headed in here. And he was like, 'What are you thinking?' And I said, 'Well, barring somebody blowing me away, I'm going to take Keon.' And he was pretty pumped." https://www.nfl.com/news/bills-gm-brandon-beane-josh-allen-pretty-pumped-we-drafted-wr-keon-coleman Along with everything else there, he says Keon was one of the guys the coaches specifically showed film of to Josh. And that they knew Josh liked him a lot. And folks are trying to argue that Josh wasn't very likely to have formed opinions of 1st round WR prospects, knowing that was one of the most likely ways for them to go? And again the guy who said he had a source that the Bills were going Coleman (Jordan Schultz) didn't just say that they were picking him, he said that he was Allen's favorite left in the draft.

Cut Codrington and put him on the 53. -
I say trade Josh straight up for Mahomes. Actually I don't say that, but it's an amusing troll.
-
Because it worked so well against the Dolphins and Falcons and Patriots. This is where you tell the opposing players how handsome they look in their spiffy uniforms.

Don't be so hard, man. -
Ladd wasn't a consideration. They've already got his skills on the team with Shakir. Lots of fans wanted him, and for obvious reasons, but the Bills didn't really have needs there. But yes, Allen said it after the draft, that he'd watched a lot of tape on round one guys that year. And that he'd really liked Coleman a lot. Anyway, this isn't where Allen talked about when he'd watched, but here Josh talks about what he'd liked about Coleman's college tape specifically.

Do you think the Chiefs would beat the Patriots as a 7th seed?
bubba2018 replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
The patriots could beat the chiefs in the playoffs so i don’t get the point of this. This Patriots are good, for christ sakes people are being such wussies -
They have to play them anyways. Its an AFC West year. The good news is the Pats will have to as well.

Since 2018: Colts Round 1 WR: 0 Colts Round 1 TE: 1 Colts Round 2/3 WR: 5 Colts Round 2/3 TE: 1 Bills Round 1 WR: 0 Bills Round 1 TE: 1 Bills Round 2/3 WR: 1 Bills Round 2/3 TE: 1 The Colts are actually the perfect example of if you don't want to spend a first on receivers you have to keep throwing day 2 picks at them. It was a successful model for the Steelers for years too. Since Beane has been GM here no team in the entire NFL has drafted fewer WRs in the first two days of the NFL draft. Just one. Keon Coleman (and that one is a bust). 32/32. And now we have the worst receiving corps in the league. Is it any wonder???
-
No. It really wouldn't. The Bills receivers are the worst in the NFL. There are downfield shots called in this offense. Josh keeps coming off them and going underneath because there is nobody open. Give Brady the Colts weapons this offense looks very different.
-
Nah. It's starting to get to be time where you can say he's not looking good. But way too early for final opinions. That's just ridiculous. Hell, Allen missed him when he was open downfield long twice this game. The text that makes your point here is Skurski's. And he edited out some of the most important parts of McDermott's comments specifically to make it look like he was saying something he wasn't quite. Here's the Skurski quote you used, in blue, and what he left out from McDermott in red: "He knows if I'm not satisfied (about it). Just like any player.... It's fair that you're asking about it. I promise you, it gets addressed when it isn't where it needs to be. There are times just like any player or any performer where it is exactly where it needs to be, and there are times where when it's not, and then we have to address it, to get it hopefully where it needs to be. So it's addressed. It's been good at times and other times it can improve for sure." Leaving out the bit about "just like any player," included there TWICE, is misleading of Skurski. Does this refer mostly to whatever he was benched for a couple of weeks ago? Maybe. Maybe not. But it's basically impossible to tell from what we see here.
