The rookie is rumored to start. Can get him late for fantasy purposes, but he's really impressed. Eckler will have a role on 3 rd downs and they have Chris Rodriguez, who will be used on a lot of goal line/short yardage situations. Sounds like a true committee backfield and they really weren't interested in paying Robinson.

I agree - mostly nothing burgers. But almost nothing has happened that is giving us good vibes. And that’s largely because the team hasn’t played yet. The starters. So the vibes most likely are going to be …. Not great. Nothing good happens in August.

Eric Dickerson Claims Teams Were Told To Not Draft Shedeur Sanders
Neo replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ll come at this differently. It’s all about competition. There are 212 Shedures in any draft, each slightly different from one another. Here’s three “power challengers” that had thirty two teams drooling. I can’t explain Shedeur’s fall. He’s a one time thing, like everyone. I also can’t see see dozens critically thinking business people accomplishing nothing, at great expense in lost opportunity, to teach someone a public lesson. His dad was the ultimate in arrogance when drafted out of Florida State. There’s not a team in the league that wouldn’t take him number one over all in a re-draft. Encouraging the league to avoid massive guarantees is apples to oranges. That’s a “how we do business as an industry” issue. Shedeur’s a “who do we employ” issue. 1 John Elway, QB. Elway threatened to play baseball to avoid the Colts. ... drafted on schedule. 2 Jim Kelly, QB. Kelly spent several years in the USFL to avoid playing for the Bills. ... welcomed back with open arms. 3 Eli Manning, QB. The future two-time Super Bowl MVP forced his way out of San Diego. ... -
wealthy people using the public to make themselves rich or not have to pay for the infrastructure to do the same. what a surprise. sucks, is what it is. its all about leverage. this "public" stadium, that is really going to out price the general public when it comes to tickets etc, is going to look real nice in 10 years when JA17 isnt playing anymore and we're back to being a place no free agent wants to come because we dont have a QB that can play. this is the issue i had with the taxpayers having to build this for Terry.

That can happen in a 5 on 5 sport with a shallow roster, and the ability of one star to change a franchises future for 10+ years. A franchise qb can have a huge effect on a franchise, but nowhere near the effect one FA signing in NBA can afford. Look no further than Burrow! If league hard resets today, hes a top 3 pick. Sure they've benefited from him... but compare his effect to the NBA. How many singular guys could sing be more valuable to a teams future, compared to his on an NFL team. There's got to be 30+ guys in the NBA that would change a franchises win% more than a Burrow does the NFL. Its never happening. -
That's a solid pickup for SF. What the heck is Washington doing at the RB position? They now only have Ekeler & a rookie 7th rounder. They seem likely to take a step back this year.

when it comes down to it the NFL is a bunch of old wealthy white guys who dont like their employees telling them what to do. Sanders wanted to do his own thing, well, that usually has consequences in the real world. do i believe the NFL colluded? sure, theyve been caught multiple times, zero reason to think otherwise. we all have to know our place in this world. you want to rock the boat, pick a fight with somebody bigger than you, you better know you can win. just how it is. -

even if they did it is their business and shold be allowed to do as they please -
They don’t need to declare the severity of it. He had a hand injury and practiced fully each week

So what do you think of Terry's new yacht?
SoonerBillsFan replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
He invested 1.2 billion in the stadium, but some of you have an issue with him spending his own money on something he wants? Christ people... -
Most of this is just nothingburgers (Cook's hold-in was like a week and ended positively, Gabe Davis isn't even signed, preseason is just preseason and injuries happen), but I do agree that New England looks poised to push us. And I do slightly worry about the mindset of the team (McDermott imploring the vets to get it in gear during that one clip) and whether they aren't distracted by the Hard Knocks stuff. I can definitely see a slow start to the season where we are forced to play catch-up to push past the Pats (see 2023).

So the higher a guy is drafted, they get a bigger contract which means the agent also gets a little bigger cut. So can't see agents really pushing for this unless they know their client isn't going to fair well in this process. Can't imagine someone wouldn't "break rank" and then they get drafted higher and get the bigger $$'s

Right. Probably worried that the NFL will become the NBA where the players hold all the power. -
Brian Robinson Jr reportedly headed to the Niners. Odd trade for both sides - Commanders with big playoff aspirations and Niners just traded away Mason who was one the most productive backs in the league last year when he started for them.

This is easily explained aside from typical Bills doom and gloom - I’m pretty sure most here felt like winning the division last year was a long shot. Just hope to get in the playoffs? Now it feels like we can legit win the whole thing. So with the expectation of a Super Bowl win - not a division title - win the whole thing. Here are our pre season “highlights.” 1. We resigned our own - that’s great but they’ve been here and our D was terribly mid last year - how is it better? 2. The 2 new Def line guys get suspended 3. The 3 Rookie D line guys have played a majority of the snaps in 2 preseason games where we got shredded. Nothing to get super excited about …… yet. 4. Our first round pick has a significant injury where we may not see him till October 5. Our starting safety we are counting on can’t stay on the field. The coach is essentially calling him out. 6. The first “hold out” under Beane happened. 7. We have looked God awful in the 2 preseason games - not counting the 1st quarter vs the Giants where Bosa and Milano looked great. 8. Why was Gabe Davis here? 9. Tre White hurt. 10. Competition from New England is legit. Their schedule is very easy and they look ready to take the next step. I think Maye is the best QB of that rookie class. Their rookie RB is lighting it up. They will be tough. The challenges from the Dolphins and Jets were based on a HOF QB add that fizzled out and then Tua got hurt. This is different.

The thing that is “not a good look” is the judgmental look cast in the direction of others, with commentary. I’m wearing Cole Haan deck shoes. They cost about $110.

His uncles, neighbors, girlfriend, blind, son works at High Mark. He does face painting there.

the sad reality is the life expectancy of new stadiums in the league is only 20-30 years. so we very well could be facing this discussion against really quick.

The implication is implied- flashy black man. Not exactly a new phenomenon for the nfl to decide worth exposing its arse over. Where'd he "hear" this? Deion? 😂
