Maybe. I admit I hate mental mistakes as well. It is, as someone who has coached, the most infuriating and frustrating thing that happens in a sporting contest. My view is lean towards the rookie until they repeat the mistake. At the point you have to pull them unless everything else they are doing is clearly outperforming the vet. Very occasionally you miss that way. Im my soccer coaching I can immediately think of one guy I definitely pulled the plug too early on and regretted. But I can think of a ton more where my instinct was 100% correct.

Every GM, personnel director, and scout I’ve ever known over the years understands this well. 40 times, vertical jumps, broad jumps are used primarily to gauge athletic explosiveness which are key indicators for talent evaluators. That aspect of the combine’s utility means it won’t be de-prioritized by those charged with evaluating various results.

No. It sounds like it's over abortion. Those are mostly nuts on the right. But to be clear I think people who support abortion are the worst. -
1. Bruce Smith 2. Jim Kelly 3. Josh Allen 4. O.J Simpson 5. Andre Reed 6. Jack Kemp 7. Thurman Thomas I think these 7 have to be in everyone’s top 15 After that Joe D, Tasker, Kyle Williams, Eric Moulds, Cornelius Bennett, Fred Jackson, Daryl Talley, Billy Shaw, Reuben Brown, Cookie Gilchrist, Elbert Dubenion, Dion Dawkins, Kent Hull all have to be in consideration.

Proof the Democrat party has become a domestic terrorist organization in the era of Donald Trump: - Democrat donor shoots President Trump in the head, kills MAGA rally attendee in Butler, PA - Biden-Harris voter tries to kill Trump at his golf course, gets into shoot-out with Secret Service - MSNBC Super fan and Bernie Sanders campaign worker opens fire on Republican Congressmen playing baseball, sending multiple to the hospital - UnitedHealth CEO killed in cold-blood by leftist - Two Israeli diplomats assassinated in D.C. by leftists - Violent anti-ICE activists in LA attempt to kill federal law enforcement, US Military members - Mass doxxing and death threats of conservative creators, including the FBI Director - Tesla owners attacked and dealerships torched - Molotov cocktails thrown at peaceful protesters in Boulder, Colorado by leftist terrorist - Michael Reinoehl, Antifa member, shot and killed Aaron Danielson, a Trump supporter, in Portland in a political assassination - Portland Riots and Attacks on federal buildings that lasted a year and injured hundreds of federal officers - Left-wing Seattle CHAZ/CHOP Zone that led to multiple shootings, resulting in at least two deaths - Minneapolis Police Precinct Burning and BLM Riots that led to +20 direct deaths, 2 billion in property damage - Madonna calling to "blow up" the White House, Kathy Griffin "beheading" President Trump - Open threats of violence from Democrat leaders against Supreme Court Justices, Trump administration officials - Importation of millions of criminal aliens who rape and murder Americans And now, two Minnesota Reps. were shot by a left-wing Tim Walz appointee impersonating a cop in what looks like an act of political vengeance. This list is just the past 10 years. It's not random. Violence is hard-coded into the Democrat party. Kill for power. Check out what leftists were doing in the 1960s and 1970s. Democrats have never disavowed the violence. The Democrat Party needs to be treated like the domestic terrorist organization it truly is. -
The mindset should be if there's a tie or even if it's close you give the job to the rookie because the rookie has the most room for improvement. We shouldn't be afraid of mental mistakes early in the season if the rookie is learning from those moments and ultimately playing better than the vet ever could in December and January.
-
I’d take the SB for that amount. Raise the stakes and I might change my mind
-
I think he probably does. I reject the "he doesn't trust rookies". If they are better they play. I can't think of a single rookie he has sat who later we went "okay maybe he should have played" maybe Cook > Singletary as a rookie. But if there are ties I do think he tends towards experience. He hates mental mistakes more than he hates the guys just being out "athleted" (not a word I know).

Everything you’re going to hear about a “hit list” is a freaking lie. This guy was hired by ….. something in the deep state to carry this out today. Yea sure….he was going to take out the entire MN political leadership per some hit list. -

We mostly agree with Levin here - the “isolationist” wing of the party is small … but yes very vocal with some prominent voices. The United States has NEVER been isolationist. Not from the second we began colonies. We moved toward the Mississippi. We moved West. We intervened in numerous countries in the late 1800s. WWI. WWII. I don’t understand this “revert back to isolation” nonsense.
-
That's kind of where you can catch the grifters in conservative media. The tariff policy for example. Traditional conservatives know that the power of the purse should be in the legislative branch and that Trump is violating the constitution with his tariffs. They're also pro free trade and not isolationists. Seeing some twist themselves into pretzels trying to explain why tariffs are a good thing and not a direct tax on the American people is hilarious to me.

What I always wonder about McDermott is if it's a tie in his mind does he give the vet the job or the younger guy?
-
I didn't read the tweet, but I agree with your comment. MAGA "conservatives" and, how shall I say this, actual conservatives are generally two different things. When they're bundled into one, we get friction points such as this one. Traditional, conservative foreign policy would support Israel here. MAGA "conservatism" is isolationist and would leave this issue to the warring nations.

I’d like to see some supporting evidence that the dollar amount of WR overpays in FA over the last 3 seasons is equivalent to any other position sans QB. the Beasley and Brown contracts were in 2019. The NFL has changed a bit since then. Amari Cooper wasn’t a free agent. Diggs didn’t play a snap on the extension given to him in 2022, are you being sarcastic that it was worth every penny?
