  2. Always read the fine print. In the case of Spotrac, always read the "Contract Notes" in fine print at the bottom of the page. They're essential for understanding what's going on. On Cook's page, the fine print says "2025 Proven Performance Escalator Available (3rd Tier)." I'm sure Spotrac explains what that means somewhere, but a quick Google indicates that a 2025 Proven Performace Escalator is equivalent to a 2nd round tender, which is ~$5M That's why the 4 year deal is accurately reported to be the 4 year, $5,832,057 2nd round rookoie deal he signed with the Bills, where his original salary would have been ~$1.5M (total cap hit $1.8M). AND it's also accurately reported that his earnings will now be just under $10M - because the performance escalator jumped his 2025 salary up by about $5.3M Hope this helps.
  3. Blah blah blah, I don’t blame the guy one bit. RB’s generally have a short lifecycle in this game. He wants to be paid bank to maximize his earnings. If we don’t pay him, someone will. IMO he’s a talented player, good runner and an under utilized pass catcher. He’ll have a solid year, & hopefully we can negotiate a deal that he and BB can be happy with…
  4. He's refusing to participate in team activities because the Bengals are trying to include language in his rookie contract that they've never used before. He has the option to sign a waiver and practice in the meantime, but he's choosing not to. How is that even remotely the same as what’s happening with the three players in Buffalo?
  5. For real. So much hate and vitriol over nothing. It's so weird to me.
  6. Kim has a cameo in the Hallmark Bills movie that is almost through filming. She is sitting as a patron in the Elm St. Bakery during one of the scenes. From the photos I saw she still doesn’t seem to be in very good shape, although it is nice to see her out in “public” a bit.
  7. I'm generally very anti-Tag because I think it creates more problems than it solves since players hate it, and it's often used almost as a punishment and trump cards for teams to handcuff players. However, with Cook (and high talent 2nd rounders in general), I can see it being used as equivalent to a 5th year option that teams get on 1st round picks. And therefore I'm less against it. If push come to shove and Beane decides to use the tag, I hope it's presented that way.
  8. A mostly peaceful graduation party with some gunfire. It’s not terribly uncommon these days.
  9. This is your exact quote. "The political right in the U.S. often aligns with Christian conservative values promoting policies on issues like abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, and education that reflect those beliefs. This can feel exclusionary to people of different faiths or none at all, especially when those religious values influence laws." As such, me pointing out that a majority of religions disagree with liberal ideals discredits your entire argument that people of other faiths feel excluded by conservative politics. Something has to dictate law. Does it not make sense that morality, as seen by a majority of religions, would dictate law rather than a complete lack of morality? What defines right or wrong for non-believing people? And where did that the idea of right and wrong originally come from? I am calling you out of touch because your entire argument was that Chrisitan values are the basis for the political right. Which is what most liberals like to say. You wouldnt dare to call out any other religion because you dont want to seem intolerant, despite the fact that you're actually complete intolerant. It's hypocrisy. The reality is religious values, or just values in general are the things driving the political right. The Bible may be thousands of years old, but morality, the choice between what is right and what is wrong should not change with time. The dissolution of those values is why you see people cheering evil in LA right now.
  10. I will name one for you. 1992 AFC championship game. Bills 10 Broncos 7. The Bills only TD this game was a pick 6 by Carlton Bailey in the 3rd quarter.
  11. LaDainian Tomlinson: https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/story?id=1858275. His production from 2004-2009 (the extension covered these 6 years) suggests he was absolutely worth it: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/T/TomlLa00.htm. He was all-pro four times and won an MVP. The only down year was the last one. The other five were all good to great.
  12. Happy belated birthday to Mrs Pegula! Wish her nothing but the best. Hopefully she gets to enjoy ( along with all of us) a Bills Super Bowl victory in the very near future. She’s a reminder to me that life is short & every second needs to be cherished. No matter how rich or poor you are, tragic things can happen to any of us. Best wishes to her. Be good, do good, God bless & Go Bills!
  13. I believe he might flourish on a team with a natural born leader on the roster. Steelers, make an offer! 😁
  14. Yup. The issue is never the issue with Marxists. The issue is always the revolution.
  15. I was pretty young back then so I don't remember the specific details but it's never been lost on me that one of the Bills biggest weaknesses during the Super Bowl runs was the interior Defensive line and that we had Freddy right before the Super Bowls and then Ted Washington right after. If you replace Jeff Wright with either one of those guys during the Super Bowls things might have turned out differently
  16. Re: the bolded, that's an interesting question. One could argue that Antowain Smith on the Pats was a better, more reliable player than the fumble-prone Henry, but Smith (along with all the other Bills backs from that era - Linton, Bryson, etc.) was a solid 3..7 ypc guy for the Bills. Plus he had turf toe in 2000 and looked like he was running in quicksand as a consequence that year. More generally, I think a lot of the poor RB production in that era was the line, which wasn't very talented at all. Regardless, with NE Smith had two very good Super Bowls, and I value postseason play. He rushed for over 200 yards in the postseason in 2001 and 2003 with zero fumbles. Against TN for the Bills in 1999, he had 14 carries for 79 yards and 2 TDs. He was a postseason gamer for the most part. Marshawn Lynch is going the HOF, but it could be argued that Jackson achieved the same production. Lynch was the better player, to be sure, but maybe it just wasn't ever going to happen in Buffalo for him. But generally speaking, you're right. Hell, the last good year OJ ever had was in Buffalo.
  17. I said it the other day I think there is a deal that is doable at camp that gives him some injury guarantees without a long term commitment with a declinable option next year. It would essentially serve the same purpose as a one year bridge to whatever happens in 2026.
  18. I’m a little bit country And I’m a little bit rock 'n roll I’m a little bit of Memphis and Nashville With a little bit of Motown in my soul I don’t know if it’s good or bad But I know I love it so I’m a little bit country And I’m a little bit rock n roll
  19. Until 2021, the NFL season was 16 games so for his first 3 seasons he missed 4 games. After his rookie year (an adjustment for many players) he missed 1 game in 2 seasons. I'm not sure what "counted on to stay healthy" means to you, but I don't think teams would look askance at that. It's the most recent 4 seasons that are problematic - when a guy misses more games than he starts 3 out of 4 years, no, you can't count on him to stay healthy.
  20. Chaos, clearly. The downfall of the West will lead to people begging for an authoritarian one world government
