  2. I see no value in placing Allen's play under a microscope and nit picking his every throw. Of course Allen is not without blame here. But from what I can see the critique of Allen is that he isn't elite in every game. IMO that is an unrealistic expectation of any player. I could put together a 30 minute highlight reel of Allen making amazing plays through the first 7 games of this season. If you combined ALL the WR plays how many would truly be amazing? With the exception of Shakir's elite RAC plays the Bills WR's have not done much that would make anyone's highlight reel. As for saying that some of us are acting like "mother hens" protecting Allen all I can say is that Allen has earned it with years of elite play. Who else on the Bills can say that? Maybe Cook but his exceptional play has only been for a year and a half. I'm just not ready to embrace posts critical of Allen. They reek of "what have you done for me lately". That might change if I see a season long Allen slump where he doesn't put the cape on. And for the record there is a difference between an in the moment harsh of criticism of a bad Allen throw, which I have shouted at the TV on more then one occasion, and having entire treads wondering if his married life is causing him to now "suck". As for Marino I like and respect his opinion but I suspect there's more context here then you're admitting. IMO the issues with the Bills passing game, in order of importance are: * Lack of WR's that are effective at the boundary and can stretch defenses downfield. In fact the Bills have a bottom 5 WR room by any reasonable measure. * The design & structure of the passing game and the new emphasis on running the football. McD & Brady are robbing "Peter to pay Paul". * Allen is not as good a QB under center as he is in shotgun. I have confidence that Allen will improve here but the poor WR room complicates things. * The O line is better at run blocking then pass protection. And the low number of Allen sacks is due more to Allen's ability to escape then the O line maintaining the pocket. I suspect that if you fix the WR room so that it is average by NFL standards you will see a significant improvement in the passing game.
  3. I think they are. No matter how great Reid is as a play caller and designer they were pedestrian last year when their receivers were injured. Look how dynamic they are now. The big difference is speed. It doesn’t seem like Bills coaching staff values or know how to use speed.
  4. Wow, almost 90% voting for McDaniel. Almost unanimous like the 100% that voted for Josh to have the bigger game against Diggs last season in Houston.
  5. Well ya it's a strategy that is debated amongst baseball purists You would never see Randy Johnson intentionally walk a guy like shohei.. it would be May the best man win the at bat I do take that back and I just looked it up.. Randy Johnson did intentionally walk Barry bonds with The bases loaded in like 1998... Winning nine to seven, walked in the eighth run And then finish the game lol
  6. Some could argue too many hugs… Got to let go at some point!
  7. I went ahead and crossed off anybody who has never played in the NFL or has played and has sucked for at least 1 year+
  8. Lack of hugs from their parents as a child
  9. I’m curious as to why there’s no rumblings on Pete Carroll and his job being at risk. The Raiders weren’t great by any means last year but they look significantly worse. That’s after trading a third rounder for their QB who by all standards is atrocious this year.
  10. Browns GM did not meet with the media during the bye week. First time in 5 years not to do so. They are crucifying him on the radio. If the GM goes then there is zero chance Stefanski stays. They will clean house. If they lose to the Jets I would not be shocked to see both fired. Myles Garrett slammed helmet at the end of the game. This time he didn't swing it at a player.
  11. I’m no expert but I would surmise that hands are the root cause of holding penalties.
  12. Hands….the solution is amputation
  13. they probably will because they CAN. I honestly think that rule needs to be changed. One man, if capable, SHOULD be able to decide games. Pitching around him to me reads chicken. I want to see greatness. jmo
  14. Wait, is Logue 19 years old too, like Tremaine?
  15. I don't think their receivers are Head and shoulders better than ours Rice is the only one who is absolutely better than what we have... and they have a gimmicky play caller who puts these guys open in space which we don't do Ju ju and worthy are washes when we have a healthy Palmer and shakir and even Coleman is gone for a hundred this year and I don't think worthy has
  16. Definitely, high hopes indeed! Better to communicate your doubts or second guessing before the snap than have to react if you’re wrong. Love to see it!
  17. I mean he's definitely an ace pitcher but he's had some wear and tear on his elbow which has hampered his ability to start 25+ games a year Dodgers didn't even pitch him in the regular season last year.. and only like 13 times this season But in a win or take all series he's going to be nearly impossible to hit in late October with his speed and ability to overpower But he's going to get the Barry bonds treatment at bat now they should walk him every single time
  18. McDaniel would be a MASSIVE upgrade at OC for us.
  19. Hitter. Marginally. I guess it’s subjective as you can make a case for him being the better at either. An Elite baseball player on both sides.
  20. I saw that as well. My guess is he was confirming he was in the right spot or had the correct assignment. Only once did I see Bishop move him from where he was lined up. Kid looked good. High hopes. If Beane got that pick right and if Bishop gets a little better, 4/5 of the secondary is set for next year. I think Taron will be around for another year. And if Hancock keeps progressing then 5/5 spots in the secondary are set. That would be huge. That leaves the top of the draft for two WRs and DT. I'd add a mid-round safety and LB as well.
  21. I’d def bring him in as a consultant
  22. Bean is on the move, working out 4 washed D lineman
  23. so do you think he is a better pitcher or hitter? Supreme at both. That's just wild YEP I did too the bitterness flows from my friend. she is as padre fan as I am for the Bills. Even a half season ticket for the Padres is a massive time investment
