Lefties are mentally disturbed and must be stopped.
Thurmal34 replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Then why is ICE at immigration court? Why is ICE at elementary schools? Why is ICE at restaurants? Why is ICE at farms? Why isn’t ICE in East LA or South Central? Maybe re-read the title of the thread? -
Are Fan Expectations Too High for Keon Coleman?
716to540 replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. I'm not into stats or analytics. I don't have time for either. I'm old-school and have always heard that reciever is the second hardest position to learn in the NFL. I believe it's true and Keon is gonna be a-okay. -

I’d give ya props, because well played, but that was the bleachers the entire debacle.

AB was a nobody after leaving the Steelers. They got the best years out of him. Yeah, "redo the remaining years" meant guaranteed money. Like the Raiders gave him and as a result only had to give up a 3rd and a 5th round pick. And the Raiders were a worse team than the Bills, having come off a 4-12 season so it's not like he spurned the Bills and agreed to sign with the Raiders because they were a good/better team.

1994 - Kelly & Reed vs Favre & Sharpe - NFL Throwback
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
What a great gem OP! Since the ‘94 season was such a clunker (7-9) compared with the SB run, it’s easy to forget there were some good individual games in there nonetheless! Reed still looking so smooth, could do it all, slot, X, contested deep balls, you name it, what a weapon! Kelly finding the fountain of youth for this one too… -

Bills Top 5 single game passing performances
NoHuddleKelly12 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not for nothing, outside of the perfect game against the Pats, I still feel like Bills vs Steelers 1991 was a clinic of utter devastation meted out against an opposing D (52-34, Kelly had 6TDs, 4 to Beebe) by our beloved Bills as zenith of the K-Gun… -

Ah yes, generalizing a fictional boogeyman, calling them mentally ill because you disagree, and calling for their silencing is figurative. backpedal more, scout -
More interesting bird sightings in my yard this weekend: I think I have catbirds nesting in the arborvitaes that line the north side of my yard. Last week I heard one calling from my arborvitaes. Then Saturday I saw one in a lilac bush near the arborvitaes. Today I heard one several times. Gray catbirds have a distinctive call. It's supposed to sound like a cat (hence the name) but it sounds like a very sick cat or maybe a squirrel to me. Previous years, the catbirds only showed up when the choke cherries fruited. The bluejays have competition for the peanuts. Except for an occasional cardinal, they've pretty much had the peanuts to themselves. A few days ago, a hairy woodpecker was working on getting peanuts out of the feeder. I'm not sure if he liked the peanuts, but he's back to the sunflower seeds in the wire tube feeder. A grackle has also been visiting the peanut feeder. Unlike the jays who take the whole peanut and fly off to parts unknown, the grackle takes his peanuts over to the driveway and uses the hard surface to help crack the shells so he can eat right there in the driveway. I also spotted a red breasted woodpecker at the sunflower tube feeder.

He was a handful in Pitts at times yes. But he was the best WR in the NFL. Diggs....not so much. The disagreement wasn't about guaranteed money--Rosenhaus wanted the Bills to redo the remaining years on AB's contract. Beane refused (but was willing to part with Bills #9 pick).

You seem to struggle with the rudimentary concept of taking things literally when they are clearly figurative. -

Minnesota lawmaker assassinated another shot.
Thurmal34 replied to 4th&long's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Is respect earned? Or subserviently given? How many police were beaten on Jan 6? Sit this one out, Ace. -
Right. Brown was so stable in Pgh and afterwards... And he refused because they wouldn't give him guaranteed money and could cut him without repercussions. He agreed to go to Oakland because they did give him guaranteed money.

AB was 2 orders of magnitude better than Diggs at that point. Diggs never rose to that level to be the kind of diva he was in Minnesota (forget Buffalo). He refused because he didn't want to play in Buffalo.
-
Yes, but only partially on Beane. When you pick in the bottom of 5/6 of every round every year, it is hard to get generational talent. You'll need to be a great talent evaluator. I don't know Beane is that. The reason I say that is because when he did get his chance - when he traded up to get Edmunds, and when he had pick #9 in 2019, he didn't wiff but he missed superior talent. Even for the same position, look at all the DT talent in 2019 and all the LB talent in 2018 that he could have. Beane will need to improve and/or find scouting talent in evaluating football talent. In the latter case, that person will eventually leave to be a GM himself if he does have strong influence in advice to help Beane finding talent. Helping the Bills finding Allen played a big part in Joe Schoen getting the Giants GM job.
-
You hate diva WRs who wear out their welcome, remember? And McBeane only wanted him if they didn't have to pay him any guaranteed money. Which is why he (thankfully) refused the trade.
