I thought he might get fired this week. That loss to Carolina was a bad one.
-
Huh?

The tape is certainly out there now on defending Maye when he rolls right (something we didn't really adjust to). It's where he has his most effectiveness. I think he's a really good QB - but our D just made him look a level better than he is right now.
-
Trading the Worthy pick to KC was a great example of this hubris.

NOOOOOOO Just when I thought we had rid this bum forever

Can't come fast enough

I'm not sure what context these stats show. Air yards or just the results? Because there have been several short screens or check downs that our guys have busted for big plays. Doesn't necessarily mean we are pushing the ball down the field. Here's the thing.....I think the narrative itself of pushing the ball down the field is kind of overblown. What I want to see is more consistency in the intermediate areas of the field.....that 15-20 yard area and I want to see that consistency come from on-time plays within the structure of the offense. So many times, Allen scrambles, buys time until someone finally comes open. Seems like it is a rarity that Allen drops back, plants his feet, and fires a laser 15 to 25 yards down the field. You'd think if teams are playing to prevent you from getting over the top, there would be room to roam in these mid-level distances. But that's not happening with consistency. So, no....I don't need to be chucking the ball 40+ yards down the field on a regular basis, but it would be nice to see more success in the intermediate levels within the structure of the offense instead of relying on Shakir or Cook to bust one after the catch.

We have among the worst.
-
The answer to that, was throwing Cook the ball in the flats/over the middle. Get him in space and let him cook.

I do think there’s a level of arrogance there that’s tough to overcome. There is a belief that “we know better” that leads us to bringing guys like Phillips and Spector back. I’d love them to just bring in guys that are better, even if they haven’t been in the system before.
-
If it's soo complicated how has every offensive coordinator in the NFL figured it out? 🤣
-
Have we even thrown a deep ball this season? I know we have some 20+, but I haven't seen any plays that really stretch the field beyond that. And we have the best deep thrower in the business. I really have a love/hate w/ this team.

Rex Ryan named as a possible replacement. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=a6f1a1c3981d313e49b53f65bcf41e3570dca0e58855a5df9c8969f4e27b868bJmltdHM9MTc1OTc5NTIwMA&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=4&fclid=39432f18-80d3-69d2-2993-3dda815f6841&psq=tony+pauline&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cubXNuLmNvbS9lbi11cy9zcG9ydHMvbmZsL21pa2UtbWNkYW5pZWwtb24tdmVyeS10aGluLWljZS13aXRoLWRvbHBoaW5zLW93bmVyLXBlci1yZXBvcnQvYXItQUExTzJvT1c_b2NpZD1CaW5nTmV3c1NlcnA

Have we considered that this complicated defense might be a tad too complicated even for our current lineup of players??? ...and how has that worked out for us so far???
-
I don't know if it's familiarity, sentimentality, or something else - but it's clear at this point that they have a level of comfort w/ players they know over potentially more talented players who they don't know. It's pretty weak.

Samuel and Moore on down on the pecking order so while haven't produced much they have made some plays on their limited touches. That's the issue with a share the wealth passing game, guys aren't going to show big individual state numbers but if things going right Josh's numbers will be I mean as bad as Josh was Sunday night he still finished 12th overall in passing yards which is slightly better than average. In terms of trading for a guy, I mean it depends who is out there. I've seen mention of Rashid Shaheed brought up before, it makes sense but oddly enough he's having his worst YPC year to date. Yet also on a pace for his best reception and yards total of his career. Another name I'd look at is Tre Tucker from the Raiders. He is undersized but with Jakobi Myers the slot he's forced outside and done well this season and he's low cost only counting $1.4m against the cap this year and $1.68m next season. Though not sure the Raiders would let him go unless give them a higher draft pick.

I guess the Ravens have to try something. -

Rasul Douglas played the week after we traded for him. -
Only 5th round or later rookies can learn the system fast. Anyone else takes too long so is pointless to look at.

Ridiculous stat that sums up the secondary play

I thought Strong played really well in the time he's had on the field. Did we ever get any details on what's going on w/ him or a timeline for return? We might end up needing both him & Hairston by the end of the season. When the season started, I thought our CB situation was much better than it actually is. -
It's been an hour since this news broke. is he on IR yet?
