He was clearly trying to emphasize the skilled positions as being the primary concern for opposing coordinators, he’s just not a very bright dude and didn’t realize how his statement would find legs. I dont need you to explain it. Ive been watching it for fifty years. I understand how hard it is to win it all. Other teams figure it out. Why dont we? Ever? Now we have what I believe is the best QB in franchise history and not only does he have to fight the opponent, but hes also battling his own head coach. And we're just suppossed to sit here and hope McDermott figures it out someday as Allen gets closer and closer to retirement? Ok. Guess there are no other options on a planet of 8 BILLION PEOPLE. I'll keep my fingers crossed that McDermott finally gets it in year twenty.

He was trying to gas up the offensive weapons including himself, because he’s not that bright he inadvertently told a truth about his QB. It clearly wasn’t his intention but there were no lies told.

Doesn’t sound like anything. He’s giving Joe all the flowers to start that clip. his point at the end, at least imo, gravitates more to what Josh does for the offense as a whole; he’s the QB and a runner at all times. They game plan shutting out Chase/Higgins to in turn shut down Burrow.

This is just his not so subtle way of putting down his own QB in order to make himself look better. They need to do a 30 for 30 one day on the epidemic of diva WRs over the last 5 years or so.
