This could be your bread and butter... When a football coach says bread and butter they mean their staple... What you do best... Execute in your sleep I learned from a very good coach once that you perfect what you do well.. so you can execute it in any situation... Rather than trying to do stuff you're not great at The other team could know what you're doing but if you execute it to perfection still won't be able to stop it The trap pass... And we have a terrific running game and great tight ends We opened the game versus Cincinnati with this... It's going to pay dividends You can't sell out on the run if they'll hit you with this... If you sit back on this James Cook will go for 7 years a carry Then instead of crossface you start going up the seam... This is One singular concept that can bring the bills One step higher and I'm glad to see it

No, he said top four. We’ll pick teams tomorrow. I’ll take his four. You take your four. Well ask any GM in football if they want Allen, Mahomes, Jackson and Burrow or any four you name. You’re pointing to three, four, or six week stretches where this guy struggled or that guy struggled. That’s an obvious truism that doesn’t address, let alone negate, his point. ”Tom Brady is the greatest. Wait, Eli Manning beat him in a Super Bowl.”

Quit your day job, become an NFL GM, and then put together a roster that EVERY fan on earth agrees with. Good luck.

No one for Josh to throw to yet the Bills are ranked 11th in passing with 2,937 yards. The top passing yard team, Dallas, has 3,581 yards. A difference of 644 yards. Dallas has 109 more passing attempts, most likely due to being behind way more often than Buffalo. So, the nobody's Josh has to throw to are doing pretty damn well.

His last 10 games includes 3 games over 100 yards. But in general his average performance seems to be like 3 receptions on 5 targets for 40 yards and a TD every other game. Not exactly huge output. There is a very good chance he won't break 1k yards this year.

There’s something different about McD this season…

He’s definitely grown as a coach. When Sean first took the team over, he was as serious as a heart attack (and still kinda is in some ways) but last last 2-3 years, he’s really started to loosen up some and the players do appreciate that. The local reporters seem to appreciate it as well. What really caught my eye is going back to last year on our run. In some of the post game press conferences, guys like Dion were saying that he’s letting them be them now. It’s not all work no play like it was for the first 4-5 years in his tenure. Him doing snow angels with Josh after the 49ers game…the cracking of jokes to the media (never used to do that, Stone Cold McDermott) but he’s become now what Belichick was in his later years. He’s striking a nice balance of fun and being serious. This version of McDermott is perfect, and it’s the sweet spot that Reid has been in for years. You can’t go all the way to the other side with it now, because if you do that you have Mike McDaniel. Even tho he’s a likable guy (and I like McDaniel) he’s never winning a Super Bowl…he’s just not. I personally think if McDermott bags a Super Bowl, his perception will change somewhat. Folks still think guys like Tomlin and Harbaugh are great coaches, yet they only have 1 title. McDermott knows how to win games, he’s been very good at it. Yes, ultimately you’re graded on how many championships you win, fair or unfair…but the guys on pace to be one of the best ever in terms of wins if he coaches another 15 years, basically the rest of Allen’s career. I’m very pleased with what he’s done in Buffalo with his opportunity. He’s brought stability, a winning culture and a perennial contender to the area…and it wasen’t easy. Guys like Gailey, Marrone and Ryan all had a shot at it. Each of them had sone success in the league to get their opportunity, be it as a coordinator or head coach…and I even liked a couple of those guys, but none of them figured it out…but a young Sean McDermott did. No coach is perfect, but I like ours. -
And that's why it's crazy to think our coaching is terrible defensively because of that lol Those conditions literally 100% favor the offense and defense is always playing catch up in those conditions And Joe is literally the closest thing to a Dan Marino.. he is by far the best pure passer from the pocket in the NFL... Now that doesn't mean Josh isn't a better player but that encompasses everything that makes Josh special... There's nobody better passing from the pocket in rhythm then Joe Brrrr And he's playing with nothing to lose so it's all on the line versus Buffalo Bottom line back to back drives we took the ball away I expect us to have a really good game against the Patriots defensively... Drake is my fantasy quarterback and I don't want to start them in my playoff matchup despite him being terrific all year I think we will have some looks for them

Tomlin is on the hot seat too. Not sure who follows the NBA. They often fire very good coaches for various reasons. Most of them move on to different teams. Sometimes they are successful other times not so much. Point being lots of organizations aren't afraid to move on even if the coach is very good. Sometimes a team needs a change.

I was a bit lazy in my post. Watching the game again, I thought the defense did a better job than I thought, and the Bengals' success was more about Burrow and Higgins than any other factor. How do you stop accurate, quick passes to big tall receivers? Allen is the better quarterback because he's bigger, faster, more creative, and with a stronger arm and more dog in him. But Burrows' icy calm, uncanny accuracy and quick release are extraordinary. Reminds me of Marino.

Agreed.

It’s all because of the JaMarcus Ingram situation. Tim Graham described McDermott as “seething” about it. I just can’t see a way that Beane releases Ingram for Clay without McDermott signing off on it.

Completely agree on Evan's trajectory. I probably mentioned this but over the summer I sat directly behind him at a Mets game. When I texted my friends they wanted me to slap him upside the head - which I was perfectly positioned to do, lol. On a humorous note I have a couple of Met fan friends who are highly reactionary and lean towards negativity. The group text this morning had some moments. One take was that it was Juan Soto's negative effect on the clubhouse that made Diaz want to leave. I had some fun with that one.

We’ve been pretty good with (Allen, Cook) Kincaid, Thompson (starting), Benford -
Interesting. Wide receiver is Buffalo weakest area on offense. Buffalo only gets a handful of receptions out of their receivers anyway. Running back and tight end, along with Josh, of course, are the skill players carrying the Bills offense this season. Those realities, along with New England's strength at cornerback has got to inform and shape Buffalo's offensive strategy.
