If he could, he would’ve already done so. He’s been fantastic throughout his career here, but the wheels fell off this year. He’s been burned way too many times. It’s just a fact of life. At some point, our athleticism diminishes, especially when we’ve used it at a high level for so long.

Protecting your quarterback is Paramount too The best corners cannot cover NFL wide receiver for four or five seconds consistently... If You don't have a line who could give your quarterback 3 seconds consistently you're not doing anything in the playoffs Dan Marino and Philip Rivers had plenty of talented offenses around them for years.. like 40 years of combined football and one Super bowl appearance combined It takes a lot more than just a good high flying offense .. Josh is on the same Peyton Manning trajectory and he didn't go to his first Super bowl till he was 30 The bills have a team in place that is still getting better.. it has not peaked... And it can win multiple ways ... It does not rely on Josh Allen to be a superstar 60 minutes straight like it did 5 years ago There is a salary cap.. and unless beane is just going to throw first round picks at wide receivers which is a crap shoot picking 28... And we don't have 98 million to pay a free agent wide receiver This team is built to win multiple ways which is how you win in January We could get better wide receivers but Brandon has to draft them better in the late first or second or third round... Has nothing to do with McDermott And yes if you said top five receiver core or a top five offensive line.. taking the top five offensive line every single time

I don’t talk a lot of smack about Taron because even though he’s not having a great year he hasn’t forgot how to play, and this is the time of year he steps up. I’m betting Taron is going to silence doubters this week

I can’t say there is no faith in Beane. This offseason will be huge to see what he does to give Josh better weapons, while adding a piece or two on D. Dude has a lot of work ahead. From what has been stated previously, McD may have more pull with ownership. And that is where it can go bad quickly. When two people are trying to save their own skins and potentially throwing one another under the bus. Would not have pictured either of them doing that until Beanes WR radio performance.

Given Taron’s struggles this season, I suspect we will get a steady dose of Stefon in the slot as he plays there half the time as it is. I hope McD can devise a bracketing scheme of some sort to neutralize him. Easier said than done though. But even though Stefon torched us with 146 on 10 catches earlier, it was only a three point loss on a FG with less than 20 seconds remaining. Gonna be interesting.

This Rivers business is bonkers, gents! Setting aside all of the off field issues with Deshaun Watson, after not having played a game for 2 years, he looked completely out of place on an NFL field. It’s truly unbelievable to think Rivers at age 44 not having played a game in 5 years is going to play again. Rivers arm strength was looking significantly deteriorated 5 years ago when he was 39. It’s hard to imagine what this could look like.

Agreed but I do love how he plays the game. He’s a kid at heart. Hope he wills the colts to the playoffs over the Texans or Jags

I agree with what you are saying, but if Hoecht and Bosa are the starters and only effective pass rushers, why are we paying Groot starting money? If Groot was still on his rookie contract or paid like AJ, I wouldn't be so critical of him. But as it is, Groot is meant to be a starter and a pass rusher. I don't think he's even remotely living up to that.

McDermott does not have approval over roster moves. Beane has control of the 53. Now previously I was always told they were very aligned so going back at least to two years ago I am certain they at least talk before this decision. But if there is a wider tension from this year as is speculated can I imagine a situation where they disagreed who the guy to expose to waivers was? Certainly. And here is my completely unfounded conspiratorial theory..... McDermott may well have wanted it to be Keon. The way that pick has worked out it is BOUND to have created tension. I can imagine McDermott being like "Brandon you can miss on talent that happens, but how the eff do you miss on a person so badly?" I think McDermott is done with Coleman. He won't be on the roster in 2026 IMO.

Rivers had a weird season 5 years ago with the Colts. Won a lot of games BUT boy was he slow in the pocket and his arm strength was really weakening. This ought to be interesting.
