I mean you draft a guy and never play him (Elam) then you draft a guy and over-play him at a position he’s not suited for (Coleman) this is purely competitive ego (as stated by others). McDermott is McDermott, he’s a c word in my opinion. He’s too clever for his own good and misses the big picture frequently. If not for josh Allen he’s probably coaching a top 12 defense somewhere.

Benching a 2nd round pick for repeatedly exhibiting bad football character does NOT reflect poorly on anyone but Keon Coleman. Sure, the very high day two pick appears to have been spent on an immature player who isn't taking his job seriously enough. But the draft is in the past. This is the present, and the kid needs a wakeup call and/or to simply step aside for guys who ARE putting in the work and seeing the results. Simple as that. I commend McD for holding Coleman accountable.

I think they aren't done with him quite yet, and financially it makes no sense to cut him. That leaves a trade, and then they gotta figure out is it better to cut and run or help the kid try and get better, mature and improve. Honestly we don't know what it's been like behind the scenes, and we won't know if this message being sent will work OBD will though, so whichever way they go, I gotta be aware they see him everyday. No offense but I am 100% certain so many people have disliked Sean McDermott for so long they're going to call out anything And call everything a paper tiger We've literally gone into the playoffs with the Chiefs starting AJ Klein at linebacker because of injuries... Played without our starting safety Played without Bernard .. played without Milano Played without Christian Benford We've literally been handicapped in the playoffs for years And in the NFL if you could put out multiple years of top five defenses you're not a paper tiger... Josh scores 30 on top 5 defenses Everybody will always complain We've lost by a field goal to the Chiefs two straight years in the playoffs severely handicapped .. not with injuries that are 10 weeks old that professionals adjust to Injuries that are 6 days old 10 days old.. and we're playing outmanned and we've lost by field goals So if Andy Reid had the better teams and we are more hurt.. I'm pretty sure Sean McDermott did a hell of a coaching job the last two years despite the narrative

Im as frustrated as anyone with the way Beane has handled the WR room after trading Diggs but it doesn't sound like they are taking into account Offensive Line. I'm sure Joe Burrow feels betrayed by Cincinnati in that regard 😂

Only way he gets back on the field this year is if injury forces their hand. Hopefully we won’t have to see this clown back in a Bills jersey. Guys like him almost never turn things around, and he’s not worth wasting the reps on to see if he can buck that trend.

Those years it was paper tiger though. Could keep a lid on average teams, never stopped a nose bleed in the playoffs. Never rushed the passer. Also got a lot of turnovers which is, at least in part, always a fluky thing when you have a streak like that. It was never a great defense, those of us that watched know that.
