ExiledInIllinois
BUMP... I just posted this at SabreSpace.com... I wonder what people hear may think if this could actually pose a problem for some over reactionary 20 year olds... ESPECIALLY one of them is an arrogant hockey superstar and the other his working class muscle... Things may get out of hand real fast and it is not the drivers fault: I think I may be on to something IF the cab had speed sensitive door locks. Really! I am almost positive that cars with auto locks HAVE to have speed sensitive locks... Well, maybe...?? I think it is a safety feature for your passengers IN THE BACK SEAT. The passenger in the front is NOT affected by the feature. The back seats a totally different story! I can see the young Kanes getting offended. I am such a geek... I just did my own tests on my Chrysler. A passenger can't leave UNLESS the car is turned off OR the passenger uses their switch... NOW if the passenger over-ride is on, then the driver can only release the passengers in the back seat... The driver may not even know that the passengers can't get out if the car is still running... And rightly so... It is a SAFETY FEATURE to be locked in the rear seat. It is automatic. I think the Kanes are even more wrong now. Any comments about this?... I am open to all sides if I am right or wrong, let me hear it.

State revokes new license of Kane cabbie By Aaron Besecker BUFFALO NEWS STAFF REPORTER 8/13/2009 The cab driver at the center of the charges against hockey star Patrick Kane applied for a driver’s license under a different name and address shortly after his license was revoked in 1999 for drunken driving, a state Department of Motor Vehicles official said Wednesday.... Radecki’s license was revoked in December 1998 after he failed to submit to a chemical test and in April 1999 for driving while intoxicated and violating the terms of his conditional license.... His first license was issued to “John” Radecki at an address on Liddell Street in Buffalo. On the second license, however, Radecki changed the spelling of his first name to “Jan” and used an address in Silver Creek in Chautauqua County. He also changed his height from 5-foot-11 to 5-foot-10 and had a corrective lenses restriction removed.... The move also leaves 62-year-old Jan Radecki of Buffalo facing the possibility of a felony charge, Chautauqua County District Attorney David W. Foley told The News on Wednesday. Particularly amusing are the remarks of Radecki's attorney, high-priced BuffTown mouthpiece Andrew LoTempio... On Wednesday, LoTempio expressed his client’s willingness to remedy the situation, saying, “It’s all news to Mr. Radecki, and he’ll do whatever he needs to do to straighten it out.” Link - Buffalo News Yes, this is all news to Mr. Radecki - he has no recollection of applying for a new license immediately after the revocation of his old one, using a different name, falsifying his address, and changing his height. :w00t: Soon, this pillar of honesty will not even remember having the Kanes in his cab, or even going out that night! The Senator
Well, in that case, this rummy deserved to be beaten about the face and head. My point, apparently more obtuse than I thought, is that no one knows if the guy even was beaten - freakin guy's a recidivist drunk and a liar, and may well have bruised his face falling in the gutter. The grand jury met today to consider the evidence against Kane - why don't we just wait to see whether they indict him, before we convict him? Senator....he may be lying. And maybe he isn't.And this probbly kills any lawsuit. But some recidvist drunks have crimes committed against them. Happens. Happens. Better be very pure before you have a crime committed against you. Certainly it happens. We just don't know if it happened in this case, Not yet, anyway. I'm anything but pure, but I'm wise enough - and sober enough - to know better than to draw attention to myself, particularly if I happen to be a rolling crime wave! Just heard LoTempio on the 6 o'clock news - said there was no robbery - the Kanes didn't try to take any of Radecki's money - there was a 'fare dispute', the kids were locked in the back of the cab, and then there was some 'wrestling' inside the cab... Those are LoTempio's (Radecki's attorney) words. Sounds like a helluva 'beatdown', hey Dean? Carry on, you Kane crucifiers.....
The Dean
Certainly it happens. We just don't know if it happened in this case, Not yet, anyway. You seem to think you know. EDIT: BTW, I would venture to guess LoTempio is playing along as the payoff is being negotiated. Fairly straightforward, actually.

The Dean
As do you. You are suggesting LoTempio and his client lied before a Grand Jury? No. do you have the transcript of the grand jury? You quoted what he said on the 6PM news.
The Senator
No. do you have the transcript of the grand jury? You quoted what he said on the 6PM news. You must know that grand jury testimony and proceedings are sealed - but still subject to perjury penalites - so we'll just have to wait for the grand jury indictment of the Kanes for robbery and for that 'brutal beatdown'

The Dean
My post citing LoTempio discussing the incident as he emerged from the grand jury proceedings made no sense? It made no sense to assume what he said to cameras is what he said to the Grand Jury. Especially when he is in the middle of negotiating a large settlement. TheChimp
Kane has retained no other than Paul Cambria: This Paul Cambria? I guess he may need him for future cases is the sex gets out of hand for 20 cent. I know this is a total tangent...but I clicked on that link and read the "Cambria List". That very last one made my jaw drop. No freaking way that is a real addition to the list, is it???? Holy racism, Batman!!

I was surprised to see "No black men-white women themes" on the real list. But we need to remember the list was developed to help pornographers avoid prosecution and conviction by a justice department led by a right-wing AG with a God complex: Under the ”Cambria List,“ directors are also now to discard blindfolds and wax dripping (so no 9 12 Weeks) as well as scenes between black men and white women, lest David Duke find his way into the jury box at an obscenity trial. (One might assume that Ashcroft‘s Justice Department would not seek to dismiss him.) http://www.laweekly.com/2001-03-01/news/porn-jitters/
ExiledInIllinois
I guess Kane is reaching a plea bargain because an idictment may come down. Kane Plea Deal Sources told the paper that Kane and his cousin, James Kane, would either plead guilty to a violation such as harassment or disorderly conduct, or an adjournment that could see the charges dropped later.
