Anybody else we pick up will also be a JAG, but they won’t know the defense. That's an assumption... speculation. Besides special teams, Ingram never earned the opportunity to play so it's questionable how well he understood the system. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of guys who can function as the team's 4th or 5th cornerback. Quote

He did have two interceptions including a pick 6 and a sack last year with a couple of tackles for a loss That's pretty good for a fifth corner Mind you cam and jamarcus are my guys so I'm going to have their back but I've always liked this skill set and he's a good kid and a hard worker But his stats last year with some playing time were definitely not practice squad level Edited Saturday at 06:44 AM by Buffalo716 3 Quote

I’ll say this: the nfl should address that a waiver player should have to show up before you cut someone else to absorb them. Maybe give teams 24 hours to place them on either the roster or non report list, and if they enter the facilities they have reported Edited Saturday at 12:14 PM by NoSaint 1 1 Quote

He got his most snaps against KC and at times looked completely lost in those snaps. He got a few snaps the following week against Miami and since then he's been inactive in every game. He wasn't very good in run support either. The long Bijan Robinson TD run happened in part because Ingram couldn't get any kind of leverage against his blocking WR to make Bijan slow his feet. I get that he's been in our system but to me Dane Jackson and Ingram are identical in terms of impact on the field. Hopefully we never have to find out what it looks like if 2 of Benford, White, and Hairston get injured. The only thing I'd slightly challenge is the comparison to Dane.... I think they are about equal as outside corners, but Ingram can do a multitude of jobs whereas Dane is a single purpose player. That's why one was on the roster and the other on the PS. I agree that in his game time this year Ingram really struggled, but that was a bit of a change from 2024 where we has serviceable at nickel and dime early in the year when we had injuries and even played a bit of outside corner and did okay. He isn't someone we should cry about losing, but he is a bottom of a 53 rosterable player in the NFL. That's why another credible team with playoff aspirations in Houston picked him up. My frustration with this is less about the principle of losing Ingram and more about the principle of giving up anything, even if it is just a versatile bottom of the roster jack of all trades, master of none to chase a 34 year old corner. Forget the names, that is just bad process. He is a versatile bottom of a 53 guy. He played better in '24 than he did in '25. I wish him the best. Quote
