Nobody wants to hear this but we might need to actually trade down a few times to get like 10-12 picks this off-season and basically retool the roster. Then hopefully have two deep draft classes to them go on a more serious run in 2027.... Don't get me wrong Josh Allen can take us pretty far and if he gets hot he is capable of taking us to the super bowl but I'm just trying to be realistic. I think this roster needs a lot more work than all of us are willing to admit. I'll be the first one to say I was probably wrong on a few players They need to cut the fat as well contracts like Knox, Samuel, Rapp, Palmer, Milano & Taron have to be thrown in the trash. There's others to but those would be too much of a cap hit to even mention. This team is in trouble McBeane have ruined this teams chances at a Superbowl they can go to the trash bin as well. uticaclub Posted Tuesday at 02:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:43 PM Since we've exhausted Beane-drafted and signed players, we're now signing players Rex drafted because they went to Clemson. I’ve enjoyed the McDermott journey, but if Rexy had Josh instead of Tyrod, he would have achieved the same success as Sean. 3 1 Quote
Urban Achievers Posted Tuesday at 03:01 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:01 PM (edited) What do Bills scouts get paid for? Do they keep coming back to meetings saying “nope, we looked all over and didn’t see anything good, but just wait until the draft — we’ve cherry picked the very best underwhelming set of dlinemen. Just go with our old players til then. Can we go home now?” I mean this is something well beyond a bad cliche at this point. How can Beane as a grown man look himself in the mirror and not see this as utterly ridiculous? Edited Tuesday at 03:05 PM by Urban Achievers 1 1 2 1 Quote
2003Contenders Posted Tuesday at 03:12 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:12 PM The one thing I will say is that Lawson used to excel at setting the edge and remaining disciplined in run support (something Bosa has been horrible at accomplishing). If nothing else, even if he isn't active on game-day, maybe Lawson can help coach up the other d-linemen? Quote

With some obvious and very few exceptions, Beane has failed- terribly! This is why, he grasps at aged, replacement spare parts and used trinkets! What a disaster! Quote

T.E. Posted Tuesday at 03:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:19 PM Look at the bright side, guys. If your first-round draft pick is still on the team 10 years later, that probably means that he is one of your best players in franchise history! 1 Quote

Out of 31 other teams is there not one single edge that might be a better option? And why and how are DTs Tim settle and Ford doing so well elsewhere? It’s just so frustrating to see our former players on both sides of the ball thriving on other teams. 5 minutes ago, Warriorspikes51 said: signing a familiar player to the practice squad is not worth this kind of scrutiny Normally I’d agree. But with the Bills these moves start on practice squad (same “it’s just the practice squad” jargon) but it’s almost a lock they are elevated soon enough. Go Bills! 1 Quote

Lawson comes in on a Practice Squad spot. Big difference. Just now, BuffaloRebound said: Obviously. The fact that it always comes to this is the problem. The inability to find and develop younger players to fill these roles is the failure. It's literally just injuries, in this case. We're low on bodies. This is the regular-season equivalent of bringing in players during training camp/preseason to just take reps, except unfortunately the games count. Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted Tuesday at 03:27 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:27 PM Yeah...it's over for this year. The drafting has been so bad that it's laughable. 2 Quote
