The only thing I disagree with is that this game had any chance of becoming interesting at any moment

Well, we'll never know will we because the refs decided it was going to end right then and there on their garbage call

Shouldn't be that way

They are really not good...essentially winning games on theast play every week.

My best friend is a die hard Bears fan, while he is obviously very happy he said the same, that they are not very good

I hate Collingsworth but was pleased to hear him say that was a "terrible call." I assumed the commentators are told not to critique the refs like that so that was good to hear.

That said, I had zero faith in Goff being able to tie the game there. Speaking of terrible, that's what he was tonight..

It's honestly astounding how bad the Eagles offense is based on how good their OLine is and their skill position players.

Eagles fans no longer have backing to complain about the defensive holding call that set up the Chiefs’ game winning FG in the SB a few years back.  As ticky tack as that was at least there was a jersey grab on that play.  There was literally nothing on the PI that was just called on the Lions.

  • What did that ref see on that play, its just an amazingly bad call, especially in the situation, difference between getting ball back and game over.

He probably saw the WR off-balance and took it as an "indicator" that he'd been yanked.

Hopefully it was a cheap lesson to knock that nonsense off and call what you actually see instead of what you couldn't. <laughs at own naivety>

It's easy to point the finger at Goff, but that Philly D made him look like that. That's 2 weeks in a row they made higher-end QB's look like backups.

Yeah, Goff looked absurdly slow back there in the pocket tonight, and missed a lot of throws he should have made regardless of the pressure and wind.  It reminded me of how Allen would have likely been able to keep plays going with his feet, although I wish he had some of the weapons that the Lions have on O.  If he feels any pressure, Goff becomes very average at QB.

Hopefully we can get some pressure on Hurts and stop the run by the time we play the Eagles.
