They don't have the experience or knowledge to adjust on the fly.  They can script stuff up w the talent we have for opening drives and stuff, but when the game is dynamic if it doesn't go their way they can't bring it back.

 

I think MCD has this team built in his image and this is what it is.  There is no mad man Kevin gilrbide of who will fight for what he says is how the o needs to be, there is no wink Martindale dc who will get into a fist fight to support their cause, we have kromer who is a stud, and then people who can script up what MCD wants well, and then they kinda hope it keeps working the rest of the game

I'm with you on the first part, the second im not entirely sold on.  but it did get me thinking last night if thats one area that pegula has 

said behind closed doors that he doenst believe in spending money.    im sure both babbich and brady were economy hires.

I am definitely hoping the return of Palmer and Gabe opens things up a little more, but having said that, it's not even an exaggeration to say Coleman could have had over 150 yards and 3 or 4 TDs if Josh could throw an accurate ball to him yesterday. Coleman had Miami beat deep for potential TDs at least 3 times yesterday and Josh was only able to give him a chance to make the catch once. Got open on the INT in the end zone too but Josh was reading the left side of the field so he never saw him. Was open several other times as well.

Like a toilet needs a turd.  Adding one won't make it a better toilet.  Need to address the plumbing for a real fix. Will probably require a new plumber for that.

Brady is at a crossroad. He needs to figure out the correct way to go or he’s as good as gone. A healthy Palmer and Davis leaves him no more excuses. Not every team has the benefit of a superstar WR1, but still make it work. If they come out flat against the Bucs then i think he will get canned.

Davis knows Allen’s tendencies when he’s improvising on the fly. The receivers don’t have any chemistry with Allen whatsoever. What the hell were they doing in the offseason?

Yes, but can he get open when there is no #1 to draw coverage?

I really have no idea. I’m not an offensive coordinator. That’s what Joe Brady gets paid millions to do. 

 

The chemistry is lacking. The Bills should’ve utilized those preseason games more effectively. This coaching staff is wearing very thin and i am one of the biggest homers on this board.

I think that is an understated issue. We've been cycling WRs through here for years, since Gabe and Diggs left. None of them stick around long enough to develop any real chemistry with Josh (except Shakir). Maybe Gabe coming back will help us after all

As long as the Bills have a winning record i refuse to give up, but I am going to be very miserable in the process (that word has lost all meaning.)

They could’ve grown together like Manning/Harrison, but Diggs has to be the big man on campus. Put the Bills in cap debt and screwed the out of the chance to develop a young receiver underneath him. People still don’t realize the effect that ordeal had on this franchise.

I maintain that we won't see Davis on the 53.  I suspect that injury is too great to overcome and get any semblance of NFL speed back.

Davis wasn’t very productive in Brady’s O after the Dorsey firing. Hard to say we need him.
