True, but St. Francis is breathing down their necks for most overall.  Canisius 9, St. Francis 8 although I couldn’t confirm if 8 included the 2025 championship, so maybe tied😂

Current JR at Canisius HS... A 4 star top 15 ranked running back nationally with offers from Ohio State and Michigan and Georgia and basically everybody 

 

Been watching in the last 3 years and this kid is showing that big time players can come out of Western New York without transferring to a ohio or Pennsylvania school

Buffalo/WNY are starting to churn out consistent D1 players

 

to be fair to the rest of the state, 247sports has only 2 NYS players ranked so far in NYS....for 2027--that's where this kid is "#1".

 

247sports  ranks prospects by their graduating class, not by how they are currently performing.

If you look at 2026 they still have only like 7 guys on it 

 

There are more than 7 players with scholarships in New York 

 

 as a scout I also am subscribed to services like prepstar and he is the number one player 2027 ny

 

Elijah Kimball is the number one player in New York state class of 2027 according to 247 ESPN rivals prep star, 

 

He's in the top 200 National right now, the closest New York State player is probably 350 

 

Elijah Kimball might rise in the rankings as a senior

Not if the big boys want him. The NIL difference is massive. They have 4x the cash at those schools. If they don’t want him Syracuse would make sense.

No I just put a highlight video of him out from 247 

 

I called him the number one player in the state and he is by four different scouting services.. I didn't specifically mention 247 in my original post 

 

Of course the number of players on that list will grow but that doesn't mean he won't stay number one

Francis might be putting out overall better teams rn but canisius usually has better high-end talent .. if Francis had Kimball they would be the best team in the state.. they just don't have that elite division 1 athlete

 

Francis does have Harrison at Georgia but he's not in the NFL yet.. canisius has like 4 alumni in the NFL in the last 15 years

They literally are operating at 25% of the NIL of the big boys. If the big boys want someone, they get them. He could end up somewhere like Syracuse but not if Ohio State or Miami or Oregon or someone like that wants him. Unless they change the rules on NIL that’s the way it is.
